And if you read what I wrote, I also have said that it doesn't matter if inborn or chosen. My argument was to correct the statement. I believe all people should be treated the same and have the same advantage. I don't know anyone that labels gays with criminals.
Well, then I think you're in a rare position. I've talked to MANY people who do. Huge swathes of Christianity seem to hold to this position, and it makes achieving legal equality very difficult for us. I admire your ability to put your own faculties of reason above biblical edicts (edicts as I see them, you apparently see them differently).

I know the size of the Earth is perfect. Earth is the only known planet equipped with an atmosphere of the right mixture of gases to sustain plant, animal and human life. The Earth is located the right distance from the sun.......... I don't buy into the chance concept. sorry

The Bible seems to complex for you. It's a book that requires deep study.

Some people are bisexual, so they would not be necessarily born gay. Many others live in denial for various reasons. Some discover their true sexual orientation. It is clear you have not spoken too or asked many. I have. They all say the same thing.
I don't have any desire to ask gay people if they knew they always been gay. First of all, most all of them will say yes. By saying no, it makes them look stupid. My point is that it should not matter if people believe they were born gay or changed into being gay.

What advantage do you see in being left handed?
<quoted text>
As I said, I only brought up left-handedness for perspective. Many people like to use the argument that there is no known genetic basis for homosexuality, but that is true for many physical characteristics. Still, such characteristics persist. We don't understand everything about genetics yet, especially as they relate to characteristics rooted in the brain.
<quoted text>
We should only blame the pedophile if he acts upon someone who cannot give informed consent. Consent is highly important when considering who should be "blamed".
Some laws were for Israel only, while others were for everyone. The Law was given to Israel as a specific means of regulating human behaviour at the time of the Exodus. Some confused people today won't shave their beards because of what was said in the Bible. We Are No Longer Under the Law. We do not live our Christian life by following the Old Testament Law. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us.(Galatians 3:13) And I hate religions that take a bit here and there from the old Testament. Most of the old Testament is a historical account and why mankind needs a Savior. Left handed has sports advantage.

20 On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, "Why did you make me like this," will it?
21 Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use?
22 What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction?
23 And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory,
Are you a vessel prepared for destruction?
The biblical God makes creations so he can destroy them, what a sick sadistic pastime. So your God is like the twisted potter who makes defected pottery so he can not only destroy it but simultaneously display power and wrath, that's one sociopathic attention seeking deity you have there. Seems to me to be an entity who is sociopathic, your deity makes living sentient beings imperfect, knowing they will be imperfect, but exhibits no obviation at all, but at least gets to display its power, after all your deity is a jealous deity right? Now why, any all omniscient, all omnipotent, and all omnipresent deity would be jealous under any circumstances would be anyones guess. Figuratively speaking the Abrahamic God creates ants so he can burn them with his magnifying glass, and gets to display that power and glory I guess.

No, you're making an incredible assumption, I personally don't subscribe to the notion that any deity exist, let alone created anything, but since the conversation is limited to principles of religious immortality striving and the myopic reasoning of Abrahamic religions I responded to the potter metaphor, and more specifically to the rather deficient Bible verses that was posted.

homosexuality is never a sin, you may judge homosexual people all you want but they are created like us straight people. They all have the right to anything, including the choice of who they want to be.

The metaphor of humans being pottery, let alone defected pottery tells volumes about the self loathing nature of adherents to Abrahamic religions , to say nothing about the self loathing of the biblical authors. It's their duty to inform people of their lack of worth and to generate societies inundated with religious guilt trips, societies who will easily bend to religious tyranny and oppression. That is the method in which theocracies are born and citizens are exploited.

The Chicago Department of Public Health reported that the percentage of Chicago AIDS diagnoses connected to homo/bisexual men increased from 37% in year 2000 to 44% in 2003; and in mid-2006 it also reported that homo/bisexual men accounted for approximately 73% of Chicago syphilis cases for the year 2005. And a September 2010 report from the Centers for Disease Control titled "HIV among Gay, Bisexual and Other Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM)" noted: "Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) represent approximately 2% of the US population, yet are the population most severely affected by HIV and are the only risk group in which new HIV infections have been increasing steadily since the early 1990s....At the end of 2006, more than half (53%) of all people living with HIV in the United States were MSM or MSM-IDU [injection drug user]." And according to a CDC report released in November 2009, 63% of syphilis cases in this country were found in homo/bisexuals in 2008.

Homosexual Pride is nothing more than homosexual shame.

Homosexuals have chosen to sin.

Homosexuals have chosen to live in SHAME.

No pride only SHAME.

The Shame of being Homosexual.

S.F. Gay Rights Leader Arrested Over Child Porn:

S.F. CRIME:

Rachel Gordon:

Published 09:21 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2012:

San Francisco police have arrested veteran gay rights advocate Larry Brinkin in connection with felony possession of child pornography.
Brinkin, 66, who worked for the San Francisco Human Rights Commission before his retirement in 2010, was taken into custody Friday night. He spent the night in jail before he was released on bail, according to a spokeswoman for the sheriff's department.

The district attorney's office will decide Tuesday whether to file charges. "We're still reviewing the case," district attorney's spokeswoman Stephanie Ong Stillman said Monday.

Police say that Brinkin had pornographic images, some that appear to show children as young as 1 and 2 or 3 years old being sodomized and performing oral sex on adult men, in e-mail attachments linked to his account, according to a search warrant served by San Francisco police.
Representatives of America Online contacted authorities after coming across e-mail attachments from one of its subscriber's accounts containing what they believed to be child pornography.

Have YOU made anything that works for ever? Would you buy a car made in 1899?

Would you buy a Telephone made in 1899 and use it?

Before accusing God, first look at yourself and what you make.

I don't see why not. Is that a forbidden question? Or are you acknowledging that no answer shall ever come?

Science fiction humorist Douglas Adams handled this idea best:

"Imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking,'This is an interesting world I find myself in, an interesting hole I find myself in, fits me rather neatly, doesn't it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!' This is such a powerful idea that as the sun rises in the sky and the air heats up and as, gradually, the puddle gets smaller and smaller, it's still frantically hanging on to the notion that everything's going to be alright, because this world was meant to have him in it, was built to have him in it; so the moment he disappears catches him rather by surprise."

The puddle has the wrong idea about its "maker". The hole doesn't take any steps to shape the water. The water fills the available niches in the hole.

You don't buy into chance? Chance happens every day, all around us. Millions of people play the lottery every day. Someone will only win by "chance", but someone IS going to win. Chance is the same concept as "odds".

Do you know how many stars are in our galaxy? Or how many galaxies are in our local cluster? Or how many clusters of galaxy are within our observable range?

Our best guess for the number of stars in the universe approaches one SEPTILLION. That's a one followed by 24 zeroes. If planets like ours only orbit one in a million stars, that would still mean there are many hundreds of millions of Earth-like worlds in the universe.

Life will only FORM on worlds with the right conditions, the right chemicals, and the right distance from the sun. We are on one of those worlds. We have every reason to believe that there are many like ours. We have no reason to believe that they were each made special for their inhabitants. Many things on our world are quite dangerous to us. Many regions are uninhabitable. The vast expanse of the universe is full of radiation and vacuum, deadly hostile to human life. Humans have appeared in only the small niche that we CAN survive in.
RiccardoFire wrote:

So does the Quran, and the Hindu Vedic Samhitas, and the Buddhist Taisho Tripitaka, and many other world scriptures. Have you studied them enough to reject their claims? Must everyone study EVERYTHING before they feel qualified to make a judgment on whether it is all believable or not?

Actually, much of the Bible seems quite simplistic to me. I don't need to become a theology major to know that snakes and donkeys don't talk, or that languages were not all formed simultaneously at a failed construction site, or that you could not repopulate the world's anteaters from only two of them and two ants. The complexity of the Bible does not mean it was the work of supernatural beings. Humans are quite capable of creating complex works.

NOBODY will win the NCAA Men's bracket contest by Quicken. Do you know the odds or chance of what we have today? TTwo well known scientists calculated the odds of life forming by natural processes. They estimated that there is less than 1 chance in 10 to the 40,000power that life could have originated by random trials. 10 to the 40,000power is a 1 with 40,000 zeros after it!

- "...life cannot have had a random beginning...The trouble is that there are about two thousand enzymes, and the chance of obtaining them all in a random trial is only one part in 10 to the 40,000power, an outrageously small probability that could not be faced even if the whole universe consisted of organic soup. If one is not prejudiced either by social beliefs or by a scientific training into the conviction that life originated on the Earth, this simple calculation wipes the idea entirely out of court....The enormous information content of even the simplest living systems...cannot in our view be generated by what are often called "natural" processes...For life to have originated on the Earth it would be necessary that quite explicit instruction should have been provided for its assembly...There is no way in which we can expect to avoid the need for information, no way in which we can simply get by with a bigger and better organic soup, as we ourselves hoped might be possible a year or two ago."
