It is a sin, but is no greater than any other sin. It is still covered by what Jesus did on the cross.

i agree with all so far. my questions to you are: "does your church welcome homosexuals to attend?" or "do they frown upon them and make it known they're not welcome?"

Well, here's what I think. We let other sinners attend, why not them? Now, if they are proclaiming themselves to be Christians but continue to live in the homosexual lifestyle, then probably they would be asked to not hold any leadership positions, and then if it still continues, we would probably ask them to leave. However, none of that is to be done in a rude or hateful manner. Much prayer should go into the situation as well. We've had some in our church that were living together that weren't married, and after they got saved, they chose to get married. Our church will can sin sin, but never in a hateful manner. The cliche "hate the sin, love the sinner" actually holds truth.

Yes homosexuals are free to attend but they will find out really quick that we know it is sin and the spirit of God will either change them or they will not stay. It is after all Gods house and not our own to tell somebody to leave or not. If God wants you their, you will be their.

Oh, please. You bible-thumpers need to stay out of adults bedrooms. It's not your business, it's not god's business, it's not George W. Bush's business, it's not anyones business. The fact that you people are pathetic enough to think that you should have a say about what two CONCENTING ADULTS do in their bedroom is just rediculious. Homosexuality isn't evil, it isn't sick or disgusting or immoral, it is just different. They are not hurting anyone, and they are not forcing anything on anyone. They are two concenting adults, and should be allowed to do what all other concenting adults are allowed to do. It's not even close to pedophilia, necrophilia, rape or beastiality, to those of you who are twisted or disturbed enough to think that they are at all related. You know why? Because those acts are about hurting, non-concent, and control. Homosexuality is exactly like heterosexuality, just instead of being attracted to the opposite sex, they are attracted to the same sex. Big f*ckin deal! They are two ADULT HUMANS doing what all other adult humans do. It is not a threat to your family, your marriage, or your life. It is just a different way of living. Stay out of my bedroom, my friends bedroom, and anyone's bedroom who doesn't welcome you there. I don't need you telling me what is 'moral' and what isn't. I don't need you telling me what is 'natural' and what isn't. Worry about your own sex life, not mine. All that being said, I am a heterosexual.

You need serious prayer and I will be doing that for you...

Well we definitely don't want people in our bedrooms so we'll stay out of yours! lol Actually, we aren't talking about getting into people's business. The question asked was if homosexuality was a sin. That's not what WE say but what the BIBLE says. Another thing addressed on this thread was: would we welcome gay people at our church? How would we know they're gay unless they tell us? So we wouldn't be getting into their bedroom. They would be the ones sharing the information. Have a good day!

Hi Travis, What was the purpose of this poll? The reason I ask is because I read your profile, and I can see that you are a brother. So, you already knew the answer to the question you posed before you posted it. Was this to illustrate the fact that this nation is overwhelmed with the idea that homosexuality is O.K.? If so, I understand your grief. About two weeks ago, I created a similar poll - "Is Homosexuality Immoral?" The results were staggering. According to the random sample, people are about 50/50 on this issue.

You hear a lot in the media but I thought this would be a good idea to see what people actually think. I know it is wrong and it is a sin and I pray that people would see that and want to change. I know that we are living in the end times and I study that subject quite a bit so I thought this would be a good part of my study.

Don't ask....don't tell. If you come into a church and openly declare yourself gay, what do you expect to happen? But, I have never heard anyone who came to my church asked if they were gay. Most people adopt a let alone policy where gays are concerned, but will not stand for an "in your face" attitude by any gay person. Your sexual preference is between you, your sex partners and the Lord. How you handle this is up to you.

I've got quite a library of references. I'm also writing a piece called "Only God Can Judge Me," but it is a work in progress.
