If I had to substitute teach those monsters I'd be loaded up too. Matter of fact, I'd suspect that any teacher that goes to work sober has some psychological problems.

I remember Mrs. Johnson in grade school.

It was no day off when she substituted. That was don't even think it day.

It was her way or the highway and the highway was getting your palms and knuckles rapped with a ruler stiff as a rock.

She didn't need a principle, calling a counselor, doctors and pills or paddles.

You learn to shut up, sit still and learn fast.

God bless her soul she passed on a long time ago.

I'm a 4th grade teacher, and in a way I think it's awful for a substitute to come to school intoxicated, but on the other hand, I don't blame him too bad. Middle school students too--. I don't drink or smoke, but at the end of the day,those things don't seem too terrible to have after dealing with of these kids and their behaviors!

When I was in 5th grade, we kids were such brats to substitutes that we actually made one cry. I still cringe when I remember that poor woman sobbing in front of the classroom...she definitely needed a drink. The teachers lounge should have margarita machines for just those occasions.
