<quoted text>This Tony guy is hopeless. He just can't accept anything that shows how twisted the contents of the bible really are. How people can turn a blind eye to the evils contained in the bible is testimony to the complete and utter brainwashing that people allow religion to do to them. I don't even respond to him anymore. He is in fact stricken with a severe mental illness. He lacks the ability to tell the difference between what is real and what is only imagined. His infected mind will never accept his God of doing anything wrong. I truly do feel intense pity for him.
I haven't read the bible so I'm glad, you lot have! Children shouldn't be allowed to read it! How anyone can believe in the bible as some book of fact totally amazes me. But they do and refer to it as the truth.

__________

— Micah 7:18 —

Who is a God like you,
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
but delight to show mercy.

__________

God delights to show mercy! He does not forgive grudgingly, but is glad when we repent an offers forgiveness to all who come back to Him. Today you can confess your sins and receive His loving forgiveness. Don't be too proud to accept God's free offer.

“Every atom in your body came from a star that exploded. And, the atoms in your left hand probably came from a different star than your right hand.
It really is the most poetic thing I know about physics: You are all stardust.

You couldn't be here if stars hadn't exploded,
because the elements – the carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, all the things that matter for
evolution and for life – weren’t created at the beginning of time.
They were created in the nuclear furnaces of stars, and the only way for them to get into your body is if those stars were kind enough to explode.

So, forget Jesus. The stars died so that you could be here today.

Krauss is awesome. He owes some of that quote to Sagan.

The truth so much more fascinating and magnificent than any fable I have ever read.

The best part....there is more to know.

Yes, the more we think we know, the more there is to learn.
And we don't HAVE to know everything. That isn't the goal.
It is the process of LEARNING. Those wonderful "Ah hah!" moments.

it would never be created exactly that way again.
There might be some other nonsense in its place, but not that exact nonsense.

But miracles happen to those who don't believe, and horror happens to those who Do believe. How many times has God helped people who have been worshiping in one of HIS Churches, when they have been attached and burnt to death in Gods House. Did he stop that? That would have been dam good time for him to show himself instead he let them die horribly, when all they were doing was praying.

Atheists are cowards. You keeping proving it.
The coward is the person who makes a claim and then is unable to support that claim, or in your case, lies about the claim. You lie about your God thing, and you're too cowardly to provide evidence, primarily because you can't. You're a child with childlike ideas about an invisible sky daddy who reaches out to hold your hand and comfort you. To you God is a thumb sucking blankie, you poor disillusioned slob. ha ha ha

"I find it so arrogant when people claim "God" was looking out for them when so many face such horrid circumstances. It's as if their humanity is worth more than anyone else's. If a plane with 150 aboard crashes and 149 perish, the survivor will say, "Thank God. Someone was looking out for me. He must have a special plan for me."

Millions of children starve to death because God is too busy helping deluded Christians find their car keys or help their little Johnny's football team win." Or fixing Tony's aching back.

(a tip of the hat to PurpleHaze who originally voiced most of this)

Much the same with people who swear that prayers are answered. Millions of Jews prayer harder than they have ever prayed before during the Holocaust. Prayer for their children, their sister, brothers, mother, fathers. Prayer for a quick death during horrific medical experiments, prayer for just a crumb of food, or a sip of water, but NONE of those prayers were answered, millions died in agony and God sat with folded hands watching it all. Or did he? Almost seems as though if a kind and loving God really existed, he could never turn a blind eye to this much misery. The logic mind accepts this lack of compassion and caring as proof that no such being exists.

Now will come the following by Christians and other Theists who simply cannot admit the obvious...."God works in mysterious ways.".........Who can know the mind of God." (my favorite) "God let them die so they could live forever in peace in Heaven." ...God gave the Nazi's "free will" and they chose evil over good." "God answers some prayers and other he will answer in a different way that we may not understand." "God is beyond time-space, we can know nothing about how he answers prayers."..........Beyond time-space?.........Then it is IMPOSSIBLE to know anything about this thing, including whether or not he actually exists.

Nope, he's still alive and like me is not frightened by childish horror stories. You might as well be telling us that we are doomed to walk over the bridge with the troll living under it, and unless we be good little boys and girls, the mean old troll will come up and eat us, LOL. You really believe that hell shit?.......REALLY?.......How old are you 5? Still believe in children's stories?....how pathetic!!! I can only feel intense pity for you!!!!! NOW....OFF TO BED, and NO there are no monsters under your bed!!!!
