I blame 100% on what happened today in Connecticut on ATHEISM. Atheism is why this horrific crime happened.

Christians are so quick to assign BLAME.
The unknown "someone" must be responsible (because Christians never kill people, do they?*eyeroll*).
You blame those that you fear...atheists, gays, communists, foreigners, Catholics, Buddhists...all those people "not like" you.
And then of course, there is always "Satan/the Devil/Evil" to blame.
I notice the governor picked that one right up.

The man who did this had a mental illness.
A sane person does not do what he did.
If you want to place blame, blame his brain.

Or blame your "just and loving" god....who (if it existed) would be neither as evidenced by its actions.

No one is commenting on a motive yet (unless there is an update I haven't heart yet) and the young man was purported to have a mental illness. What is your reasoning (or total lack thereof) for your lame brain conclusion sparky?

<quoted text>I understand what socialism means, but why in your opinion was Hitchens a "pig?" Is it because he opposed the idea of people harboring false beliefs? Or because he realized the very real danger than organized religious poses to society? Or maybe its because his logic and reason trumps the wish thinking mentality of the Theists. "Pig" usually has a negative connotation to it, Why do you think Hitchens was wrong in what he stated? Yeah, I know, reason and logic are difficult things to deal with when you hang your hat on myths and magic.

I love it when xtians point to Einstein as a believer, they twist his quotes out of context and ALWAYS mention how much smarter he was than anybody else....they do not even comprehend the basis of his philosophy....rank amateurs, lol.

This guy was an atheist and he got caught being evil. This proves I'm right about their evil intents and he got what he deserved.

No, you're just trying to rationalize your boorishness, something xtians have lots of practice at just trying to explain that rediculous book in a hopefully believable matter.
BTW, where was your god while the massacre was going down at Newton, CT today??? Let's hear all the prayers to bring those poor dead children back or relieve their parent's suffering. The first time I hear some babbling idiot say "thank god my child was spared" I'm going to puke. Bullets don't shiv a git.
Typical athitard.....

You ewant to blame God for all the wrong doings but refuse to give Him credit for the good deeds...

For the moment we'll ignore that fact that atheists don't BLAME your invisible friend for anything because he is not real.

We are pointing out how ridiculous it is that YOU "give him credit for all the good deeds" but refuse to acknowledge that an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent superbeing HAS GOT TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE BAD STUFF TOO.

You DO know the definitions of omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, don't you?
You DO claim that your fantasy friend is all of those, right?

You DO see the hopelessness of your position?

You don't understand the ignorance of your position.

Just as God wasn't responsible for Eve biting that apple, He wasn't responsible for the CT shooting, either.

He's given us ALL free will. You have it. I have it. We all have it.

Thank you, Lord!

On the issue of the school shooting, it was a total and complete tragedy. My heart and prayers go out to the families of the victims.

Maybe all schools need to know what the schools in the bad neighborhoods have already known. I have a friend, from the Philippines, who taught in Compton, California, for twenty years, and she carried a gun the whole time in her purse.

And every school should have armed security guards.

At home many of the kids have armed body guards, the kids call them "Mommy," and "Daddy."

All of the very best,

Tony V.

Your "god" isn't responsible for ANYTHING.
It isn't real.

But just for the fun of argument...

So you are saying that Yahweh started his little experiment in "free will" and then sat back to see what happens?
He DIDN'T KNOW what would happen? Really?
He DIDN'T KNOW that most of his creations would have to burn in eternal torment for not worshipping him? Really?
Well, there goes omniscience out the window...as well as a "loving and caring" deity.

If we have "free will," then Yahweh CAN'T INTERFERE AND CHANGE THINGS?
Hmmm, not omnipotent either.

If Yahweh is omnipresent, how can there be a place called "Hell" unless he is there also?

You Christians are so silly.
But carry on...I know you are happy in your delusion.
However, don't expect the rest of us to join you.

Oh yay!
So you are saying that Yahweh started his little experiment in "free will" and then sat back to see what happens?
What makes you think it's an experiment?
He DIDN'T KNOW what would happen? Really?
Of course He knows what will happen. God knows everything, He can't learn anything new.
He DIDN'T KNOW that most of his creations would have to burn in eternal torment for not worshipping him? Really?
See above. He gave you a choice.
Well, there goes omniscience out the window...as well as a "loving and caring" deity.
Would you never allow your kids to go out of the house? To protect them as long as you live?

NOPE.
If we have "free will," then Yahweh CAN'T INTERFERE AND CHANGE THINGS?
He doesn't interfere. Next.
Hmmm, not omnipotent either.
lol, you think you're so wise.
If Yahweh is omnipresent, how can there be a place called "Hell" unless he is there also?
He is everywhere at all times. Hell is a part of everywhere........

It's you that is happy with your delusion.

I don't know if I agree.

It really sucks knowing that our society has degraded so much that schools need guards and metal detectors.

That's what happens when America decided to remove God from our schools back in the 60's.

40+ years of not teaching our kids about God is having an adverse effect on our nation.

Either your god is responsible for everything or he isn't.
Make up your mind.

--"Of course He knows what will happen. God knows everything, He can't learn anything new."

If that were true, it would be the saddest thing I ever heard.

--"Would you never allow your kids to go out of the house? To protect them as long as you live?"

I would prepare them to the best of my ability for a happy and full life.
I WOULD NOT tell them that they are "bad" and that they must constantly beg for my love and forgiveness.

--"He doesn't interfere."

So you don't believe in miracles. Interesting.

--"lol, you think you're so wise."

Wiser than you.
I know what is real and what isn't.

--"He is everywhere at all times. Hell is a part of everywhere........"

That's a right nasty "god" you got yourself.
Who would want to hang out for eternity with such a disgusting being?
Oh yeah...you.

I wonder why atheist and non-religious countries have less violence and crime.
Maybe it's something in their water that causes them to be mentally healthier.

There is NO such thing as free will. Your God is ALL KNOWING, according to your doctrine, there is nothing that God doesn't know. That means he can see the future, can see whey you are going to do before you do it. Which means your God has already set a pathway for you to follow, you think you have free will and are making your own choice but your path has already been set for you. Free will is an illusion. Your God knew Eve would bite int the apple just as he knew what was going to happen at the elementary school, and he did nothing to stop it. The only way you can have complete free will is if you admit that your God is NOT all seeing, he does NOT know what then future holds, therefore he is NOT omnipotent.

You apparently pay little attention to evidence. Research was shown that Atheists countries like Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Denmark, all have much lower rates of crime. Less Child abuse, violent crimes, domestic violence, rape, and STD. The teen's in the United States are 70% more likely to contract a STD than the countries were Atheism is predominate. Why is that? So much for your worthless point about God being removed from the classroom.

Are you out of your mind? No one said he was an atheist, you just ASSumed that.

You paint with a very broad brush....would you buy a glass of kool-aid from Jim Jones, spend the night with David Koresh, let Tony Llamo watch your children? Does that make all preachers evil? Get real.

The poor slob was ignorant of electronics....and he more than paid for that mistake. Oh, and remember your own book little high and mighty..."Judge not lest ye be judged."

I neither blame nor give credit. Nonexistance is just that, there is no god, jeebus or holy spook. Myths and fairytales all.

The sooner you grow up and stand on your own two feet, the better. No big papa to pat you on the head or strike you with lightning, that's called reality.
