Sorry I know this poll title sounds messed up but I didn't have enough room. It should say "Should Middle schools give out birth control to students?"

I'm not a doctor but it seems to me giving 11 year olds pills meant for adults might not be such a good idea

If they are having sex, being on birth control beats the alternative.

I lost my virginity on my wedding night, but it'd be REALLY nice to lower abortion, teen pregnancies, and MORE unwanted kids on this earth.
Sex Ed just ain't cutting it, and you CANT stop these kids from having sex, so the LEAST you can do is protect them or become a grandparent.
I would jsut put them on the pill. My sis lost her innocents @ 15 and my mom put every single one of her daughters on Birth Control when we were 15 or 16.
#1, she knew we wouldn't come clean if she asked us if we had sex.
#2, we all had (and still have) TERRIBLE periods and period cramps, and that helped.

Her giving us these pills wasn't a free-for-all sex party invite, but a way to show she cares about us and trusts us. And we respected that responisbility and trust.
So either way, she was happy and so were we.
I'm going for my mother's method with my girls.

Oh yes, this is a brilliant idea!NOT.Maybe next we can start giving out contraceptives to elementary school kids,no doubt in the next 20 years they will be having sex too,who knows they probably already are. It's almost like limbo."How low can you go!".Middle schoolers shouldn't be having sex.period.Giving them birth control will not help or make thing better, especially with out the parents permission.Besides 11..12..13 year olds taking birth control,Most parents can't even get them to take their cough medicine! How ridiculous.

I think if you hand kids a bunch of bullet proof jackets shootings would go up and if you hand 11 year olds pills sex will go up and I'm not sure I trust 11 year olds to use contraceptives correctly. Many adults screw it up

Just more of the ungodliness America is sinking into of trying to treat the symptom instead of the disease.

The thing is a lot of people want an ungodly America. They want to think they are God or that they can do whatever they want without any consequences coming from another being whether it works that way or not.
They would only think of symptoms cause to them the symptom is the disease. They would only want people choosing to do things as a matter of doing whatever they want. They wouldn't want people choosing to do things cause its' right.

other kids that young? and giving out birth control to 11 year olds beats having a bunch of pregnant 11 year olds on your hands. or would you rather punish the kids for the actions of perverted adults as you see it.

Exactly. If your a parent or person who walks around with THIS attitude:
"They shouldn't have sex and they should suffer the consequences if they do."

Well you just said:
"Let them have babies and get AIDS."

You cant really stop these kids from having sex, a plain fact right there. But you can prevent being a grandparent at a young age and keep your kid healthy and safe. You may think your doing that by telling them "Don't have sex." but are they HONEsTLY going to listen when they're 15 and have a serious boyfriend/girlfriend?

My attitude:
Protect them or face the consequences.
