It is not the question of whether ALLAH was able or unable to preserve any book. Allah does what He wills and what He wishes.

In His plan, what was to be preserved and protected was the Last and Final Testament, that is because no new prophet was to come into the world.

That is why He entrusted the preservation and protection of previous scripture to the FOLLOWERS of these religions and they failed. They forgot some part, they lost some part and they added some of their own thoughts into the scripture.

As for the Last and Final testament, it was preserved in both written form and by memorization, a trend that continues even today, which no other religious community can match.

It is a special gift from Allah, no other group can memorize their scripture in a "foreign language" as Quran is memorized by people who cannot understand Arabic.!!

The Consequences of US Decline

America's gradual loss of global influence may trigger a chaotic, multipolar power struggle

By Immanuel Wallerstein

November 03, 2013 "Information Clearing House - "Al Jazeera" - I have long argued that U.S. decline as a hegemonic power began circa 1970, and that a slow decline became a precipitate one during the presidency of George W. Bush. I first started writing about this in 1980 or so. At that time, the reaction to this argument, from all political camps, was to reject it as absurd. In the 1990s, quite to the contrary, it was widely believed, again on all sides of the political spectrum, that the United States had reached the height of unipolar dominance.

However, after the burst bubble of 2008, opinion of politicians, pundits and the general public began to change. Today, a large percentage of people (albeit not everyone) accepts the reality of at least some relative decline of U.S. power, prestige and influence. In the United States, this is accepted quite reluctantly. Politicians and pundits rival each other in recommending how this decline can still be reversed. I believe it is irreversible.

The real question is what the consequences of this decline are. The first is the manifest reduction of U.S. ability to control the world situation, and in particular the loss of trust by the erstwhile closest allies of the United States in its behavior. In the last month, because of the evidence released by Edward Snowden, it has become public knowledge that the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) has been directly spying on the top political leadership of Germany, France, Mexico and Brazil among others (as well, of course, on countless citizens of these countries).

I am sure the United States engaged in similar activities in 1950. But in 1950, none of these countries would have dared to make a public scandal of their anger, and demand that the United States stop doing this. If they do it today, it is because today the United States needs them more than they need the United States. These present leaders know that the United States has no choice but to promise, as President Obama just did, to cease these practices (even if the United States doesn't mean it). And the leaders of these four countries all know that their internal position will be strengthened, not weakened, by publically tweaking the nose of the United States.

Insofar as the media discuss U.S. decline, most attention is placed on China as a potential successor hegemon. This too misses the point. China is undoubtedly a country growing in geopolitical strength. But accession to the role of the hegemonic power is a long, arduous process. It would normally take at least another half-century for any country to reach the position where it could exercise hegemonic power. And this is a long time, during which much may happen.
Initially, there is no immediate successor to the role. Rather, what happens when the much lessened power of the erstwhile hegemonic power seems clear to other countries is that relative order in the world-system is replaced by a chaotic struggle among multiple poles of power, none of which can control the situation.

The United States does remain a giant, but a giant with clay feet. It continues for the moment to have the strongest military force, but it finds itself unable to make much good use of it. The United States has tried to minimize its risks by concentrating on drone warfare. Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates has just denounced this view as totally unrealistic militarily. He reminds us that one wins wars only by ground warfare, and the U.S. president is presently under enormous pressure by both politicians and popular sentiment not to use ground forces.

The problem for everyone in a situation of geopolitical chaos is the high level of anxiety it breeds and the opportunities it offers for destructive folly to prevail. The United States, for example, may no longer be able to win wars, but it can unleash enormous damage to itself and others by imprudent actions. Whatever the United States tries to do in the Middle East today, it loses.

At present none of the strong actors in the Middle East (and I do mean none) take their cues from the United States any longer. This includes Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan (not to mention Russia and China). The policy dilemmas this poses for the United States has been recorded in great detail in The New York Times. The conclusion of the internal debate in the Obama administration has been a super-ambiguous compromise, in which President Obama seems vacillating rather than forceful.

Finally, there are two real consequences of which we can be fairly sure in the decade to come. The first is the end of the U.S. dollar as the currency of last resort. When this happens, the United States will have lost a major protection for its national budget and for the cost of its economic operations. The second is the decline, probably a serious decline, in the relative standard of living of U.S. citizens and residents. The political consequences of this latter development are hard to predict in detail but will not be insubstantial.

I believe God can and has preserved His Word through the Holy Bible.

You have no proof that the true scriptures we read today are any different than those handed down through the centuries. In fact the Dead Sea Scrolls testify to the accuracy of the Hebrew Bible/O.T. The methods in which the scriptures were copied by the Israelites throughout the centuries focused first on accuracy. It is really an interesting process.

You make it sound as though people were careless with the Words of God. IMO, that is just a lie that cannot be proven true.

The qaran is not the final testament. It teaches against the original scriptures. It serves no purpose of truth to those who believe the Bible.

I'll never believe that Jesus was just a prophet nor will I believe Mohamed ever a prophetof.

Blumenthal vs Alterman

By Andrew Sullivan

November 05, 2013 "Information Clearing House - I haven’t managed to read Max Blumenthal’s controversial new book, Goliath, based on his reporting in Israel and the West Bank. But one reason to pick it up is the lazy hatchet job performed on it by one of the more egregiously nasty writers in America, Eric Alterman. Alterman’s critique can be read here, titled “The ‘I Hate Israel’ Handbook”, and here. I urge you to read both. Money quote:

It is no exaggeration to say that this book could have been published by the Hamas Book-of-the-Month Club (if it existed) without a single word change once it’s translated into Arabic.(Though to be fair, Blumenthal should probably add some anti-female, anti-gay arguments for that.) Goliath is a propaganda tract, not an argument as it does not even consider alternative explanations for the anti-Israel conclusions it reaches on every page.

The reason I urge you to read it all is because it’s essential background for Blumenthal’s response. It’s always a joy to see a smear artist exposed, trick by trick, con by con – and Max is relentless. To wit:

Alterman carps about the titles of several chapters in my book, claiming they were “titled to imply an equivalence between Israel and Nazi Germany.” He did not bother address the substance of the chapters, which explains the titles. The chapter titled,“How To Kill Goyim and Influence People” detailed a Jerusalem conference of prominent state-funded Israeli rabbis who had gathered to defend the publication of Torat Ha’Melech, a book published by their rabbinical colleagues that the Israeli paper Maariv described as “230 pages on the laws concerning the killing of non-Jews, a kind of guidebook for anyone who ponders the question of if and when it is permissible to take the life of a non-Jew.”(Among the book’s lowlights:“There is justification for killing babies if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us…”)

My chapters titled “The Night of Broken Glass” and “The Concentration Camp” detail the officially sanctioned campaign of racist incitement and violence against Israel’s population of non-Jewish African asylum seekers. The former chapter described events leading up to the night of May 23, 2012, when, after an anti-African rally headlined by leading officials from the ruling Likud Party, in which Africans were described from the stage as “a cancer,” hundreds of Jewish Israelis rampaged through African-inhabited areas of South Tel Aviv, attacking their homes and cars and literally smashing the glass of their storefront windows.“I am as afraid to live in the Israel of 2012 as any right-minded German should have been in 1938,” Aliyana Traison, the deputy editor of Haaretz, wrote at the time.

For good measure, Alterman concedes that the book is “mostly technically accurate.” I hate the bullying tactics of those suppressing a discussion of difficult subjects, so am glad to note that Blumenthal himself is not the only one shocked by the shoddiness of Alterman’s smear:

Other writers have already carefully deconstructed his tangled mess of factual errors and deceptive claims: Phan Nguyen, Corey Robin, Ali Gharib, Ira Glunts and Charles Manekin.

I’d particularly recommend Corey Robin’s dissection of Alterman’s account of Blumenthal’s conversation with David Grossman, the legendary liberal Zionist. It’s both a thorough debunking of Alterman but also a disturbing revelation about what has happened to Israel, and why it matters.

You say mohammed perfected the old religion but in reality, your prophet created a new religion. The Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ is not a religion. Religions sprung up around the scriptures. So did the adversary.

The scriptures tell us who Jesus is, why He came and why He died. They tell us what Christ did. He is the last testament.

The Old Testament/Hebrew Bible did not changed because of Jesus. Nothing in the O.T. is diminished by Christ or considered untrue. Because of the sciptures we know Christ was more than a prophet. Jesus is the Christ. Your qaran teaches otherwise. Either the Bible is true or the qaran is. Either mo was the final testament or Christ is. Can't have it boh ways.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

I can find a post that will discredit this one. What is your point.

Why don't you say the same for jesus and his followers?
They also re-wrote the old scriptures and made a religion out of it?
When the message is from same God and for same set of humans, there is bound to be similarities, who claimed that Our Prophet a "New" religion?
He perfected the same old religion of all prophets, removed the corruptions and cobwebs and that message was preserved and protected for all times to come.
This is islam.
Yes what a proud moment when he perfecteted the wife beating instruction ?
Why does the koran direct muslims to pour boiling waster down the throats of non believers?
Did he perfect his perversions when he mounted his child bride?
Do not compare Jesus to moohamed Jesus did not rape a 9 year old child moohamed did ! Jesus did not murder moohamed did !
Reading the koran it is a most hateful book which should be banned for it insites it followers to violence.
It works on the principle that all ways here are the murhumnas ways or off with your head.
