Understanding that the two are as different as night and day, I'm wondering what your thoughts are on Spirituality as compared to Religion.

Spirituality focuses on the "Self." It's all about maintaining peace, balance, harmony and being One with all that exist.

Religion, which is man-made, in my opinion is a control thing. If you are working on behalf of God in getting the word out, why must people pay? Why does the Bible have a copyright and is sold in stores?

There are many religions, however, there's just ONE God. Regardless of whether we call Him/She/It Jehovah, Allah, God, Higher Power, The Source, or the Inner Self, we're talking about the same thing... which is that which is behind all that exist.

I cannot for the life of me, get off into religion because there simply are too many versions. One say their way is right, the other says their way is right... The Bible has been "editted." Not to mention, there are many versions of it.

If you compare Jesus to Krishna (sp), you will see that they are basically the same person, as told by different people.

When all is said and done, the most important thing is that we're all headed in the same direction; to the same destination. I may take a plane, someone else may take a car. Another may take a train. The important thing is to simply get there.

Spirituality v. Religion - One is peaceful, while the other condemns as often as it can. One lives freely, while the other places restrictions on what we can do in everyday life.

God said we have free will. To have anything other than that would limit our potential and hold us back from developing our purpose and moving forward.

Religion says we can't do this and we aren't supposed to do that. How can one explain that? Why have a book prohibiting so many things, and promoting violence on one hand...

and have a God saying we can do as we please, that loves via a love so deep, we can't understand how deep it is on this realm?

I'd choose spirituality any day over religion... simply because I know I am spirit, having a human experience. Religion has nothing to do with the stars, the sun, the moon, the universe. All those are of the spirit. I stick with what I am.. Spirituality because simply put, I am spirit.

I choose spirit over religion simply because religions are controlling and always tend to extend over into other people's business. But then when you look inside THEIR doors at THEIR lives, everything is all out of whack.

I honestly believe religion is an excuse to ignore the problems of their own lives to dip over into others. I have yet to meet a spiritual person that cared one way or the other about what people do with their own lives.

Everybody should take the time to be enlightened; to wake up. It wasn't meant for us to be here forever. Find out what your true purpose is in life and act on it quickly.

Life has a secret. And that secret is that God is hidden in plain sight. He has appeared as billions. Every single thing you see "that exists" is in fact, God.

What does that mean? It means that I am God "manifest." God is appearing as me. You are God manifest. God is appearing as you. It all started with God and it will end with God.

We all came from the same place and will return to where we came from. If I have a slice of bread, and take a piece off of that slice, that piece is still bread.

If you take a spark from God, that spark is still God. We are God, on earth. There's nothing else we can be. We all simply forgot. There is nothing that existed in the past, that exist now, and that will exist in the future... THAT IS NOT GOD. Believe it or not. It's true.

And you know what? The truth is out there. Put down that 2000 year old history book and look at the proof right in front of your faces. You can't find the truth if you don't seek it. So, what are you afraid of. Do some research. And most importantly, listen to that still, small voice that resides inside you because that's where God is. Behind your eyes, looking out.

He never left His creation. He is the Creator; and He is that which was Created.

Spirituality is own conception of God which is an imaginary god made up in the head. It is intellectual suicide. Why pray to a god i make up in my head?
Spirituality focuses on the "Self."
Then it is self centered.
It's all about maintaining peace, balance, harmony and being One with all that exist.
But is it true?
Religion, which is man-made, in my opinion is a control thing.
Religion involves group worship of the Divine. God is to be obeyed and worshipped. They get together to provide groups support and worship. Your definition has to do with control which is arbitary. It is humpty dumpty definition in which words mean what you want hem to mean. The rest of your post is common assumptions based mostly on ignorance.

In one breath you wrote "Spirituality is own conception of God which is an imaginary god made up in the head."

And you wrote:

"Religion involves group worship of the Divine. God is to be obeyed and worshipped."

So which one is it? Is God something that is only made up in the head, meaning He doesn't exist? Or is it God is to be obeyed and worshipped, which means He does exist?

It it's something "made up in the head" where do you think our thoughts are derived from? Who is thinking the thoughts? Our temporary bodies, or what is inside the bodies?

What animates the body? This earth suit? A television will just sit there until you turn it on. Thus, electricity is what animates the television. So what animates us? When you see a body laying there, dead, what left?

Surely, you have heard of people that has seen or felt spirits? I have. Now, if God doesn't exist, or is "made up in the head," what's still lingering around on this earth, that in times we can see (or not see), but can feel its presence?

That's the problem with people. We close our eyes to what our own eyes are perceiving. We honestly believe our own eyes are lying to us.

Everybody has that voice that speaks to them, trying to guide them in the right direction. I feel God. I have always felt Him from the time I was a small child. It doesn't matter if I call It God, Allah, Buddha, or what. I'm talking about that Divine Energy of Light and Sound that is behind the reason that everything exists.

God is Existence. If it exists, then It's God.

I'M saying your definition of religion and arbitary.
is flawed Is God something that is only made up in the head,[QUOTE] Making up concepts in the head should have some basis in objective reality.[QUOTE] meaning He doesn't exist?
God exists. If you want to know about God objectively then study Jesus Christ.

I'm not going to substitute a man for a Spirit. God is Spirit for a reason. When we "reduce" Him to the physical, then why have a God?

That's what He has us for. He's being human "through us." So if I should study Jesus, then I might as well study "myself." Because we are all One, appearing as many.

I didn't realize God made mistakes. When you try to elevate "a person" over that which is spirit, then what that says to me is that God made a mistake. To send "a man" in to do what God could have done in the first place, implies that man corrected what God created.

If God didn't want people doing bad things,(what man calls sin), then we would have been created perfect. The mere fact that we were not says that no man was needed to "save us." Save us from what, exactly?

We were created to have flaws, because it is because of these flaws that causes us to grow and learn the lessons our soul came here "this time" to learn.

We are all perfect, just the way we are. God being perfect, makes us perfect. Alive -- On this planet, we are soul having a human experience. Dead, we're back home with God... right back where we started. This is why people who nearly died, or died and came back describe not wanting to return. They didn't want to leave the type of Love that flows from God.

All that is happening is God is interacting with God. That's all this is.

In 2005, I embarked on spiritual journey. I was going through a rough time in life, and God revealed Himself to me. I didn't go to God, God came to me. From that point on, I studied and studied and studied... watching movies, reading books, listening to tapes, listening to spiritual teachers, etc. The more I listened and learned, the closer I got to God. I wasn't prepared for what I learned, which was a life-changing revelation. When I realized God knew me, I curled up in a fetal position and cried my eyes out.

During meditation, I asked God what good did it to to know all this stuff if I kept it to my self. I was instructed to "tell others." So I got online and documented what I've learned. I did it with the hopes of others waking up... awakening to the knowledge of who they really are. Once you know this, you're basically home.

It's important that you know who and what you are.

Life will never be the same, once you are made aware as to who and what you really are. We spend years looking for God. We look everywhere, except on the inside. That's where God is. He is on the inside of us, peering out.

Who/What is looking out through the "pupil" of your eyes? It is none other than God.

We are students, here on Earth School, learning lessons. Yes, our Father sent us to school, or rather, we volunteered. God is the teacher and we are the students. But by the same token, not only is God the Teacher, He is the student as well.

Spirituality begins by obeying what is written in Scripture. Man has not done that and created his own way of doing things under demonic influence. So instead of observing Elohim's Feast Days, Sabbaths and Dietary Laws (Lev 23)- man chooses Santa Claus, Easter, Sunday worship and unclean foods - not to mention taking Elohim's and his Son's names out of Scripture - substituting titles and false names and venerating demons.
