Yeah, I'm staggering along. Reading all these comments about Bachman, Obama, and Palin; makes me want to sit out this next election. Obama's gotta go, but there's no real alternative. Election year here always reminds me of an episode of South Park: "Who are you gonna vote for, Stan--the douchebag or the turd sandwich?" "I'm voting for the turd sandwich." "But how can you do that? We're buds, aren't we?" "Dude--your candidate is a douchebag."
I think Mark Twain was right when he said, "Don't vote, it only encourages them."
Lol! I watched that episode!

Mark Twain was the shit! "Too much of a good thing can be bad, too much whisky is never enough"

Lets say a god of sime kind exists.

A god who is everything, even the creation itself is all aspects of itself. Concious members of that creation represent a fraction of its own conciousness, but that being so powerful it manafests itself in what is percieved as individual conciousness, making every living thing fully aware of that fact its alive( or the perception if life). Basically animal conciousness being its process of experiencing its(gods) own conciousness in every possible way. The good and the bad. Life then all just being imagined. Then if we actually do exist, we are just a figment of gods imagination.

You started out well, but kinda lost it towards the end. But I like the range of your thought.

The end of it could have been better explained. Its more the concept of a gods imagination being so vast that infact its what we percieve as creation. But its god percieving it through many means as a process to understand his/her own existence. The concept of evil becomes interesting as it becomes part of god. Also it means in actual fact by hurting someone else we in effect hurt ourselves.

I dont believe it, its just a trown into the pot.

Its expensive. A 1st edition is $2,400 and a used copy is around $100. Jung has
lots of shorter versions of his ideas in paperback. "Death and Immortality" is good.

Hey there Skitz. Hope you are well.

I watched the latest Harry Potter lastnight. At one point, Harry Potter died, but since he had a resurrection stone, he was coming back to life. Anyways, inbetween dying and coming back to life, he was sitting with Dumbledor and talking and getting answers and at the end of it all he asks Dumbledor "Is this all real, or is it just all in my head?", and Dumbledor replies "Of course it's all in your head Harry, but that doesn't mean it isn't real"

Maybe its the same with God. Maybe we are all in His head, but we are still real.

Interesting thought.

I'm not judging you.

In my life, my view is this: The more and longer you laugh, the better. Clownie may piss a few people off, but he is as good for me as medication! Anybody who makes me smile more than frown has my vote

Short answer: No. The quakes, powerful as they were, are not on a scale big enough to significantly interupt the earth's movement. Think of it as throwing a firecracker at an uncoming truck: According to all the laws of motion, the firecracker DOES influence the truck's path of motion, but on a scale too small to measure (i.e. The truck still hits you).
But yes. Physically possible to throw the earth off it's axis, or out of orbit? Certainly yes. Just need a force big enough
If there was a quake big enough to have some immediately observable effect on our plant (in relation to it's orbit/axis) I wonder what the quake would do to the surface of the planet as we know it?

A soul is who "you" really are and our bodies are just interfaces for our souls to interface with the physical world. ALL souls are created in God's SPIRITUAL image. Meaning that they are miniscule versions of God/his soul/himself, with the same energies/abilities. All souls are immortal and cannot be destroyed. So we are more than a "figment of gods imagination".
