I understand. It's been so snowy and cold around here so long that yesterday in church, when they were asking for praise and prayers, I wanted to say "for the sunshine" but it seemed silly compared to what some people were saying. I'm just thrilled it's sunny.'Course, in a couple weeks I'll be wishing it were cooler. We humans are very finicky. |

Yeah, we are. I am happiest at around 75. Of course, cooler weather that is going to keep me from paying for air conditioning this year is most welcome. |

I like 65-70. I don't have air conditioning here, ugh, so it'll be a lot of open doors and fans for me. |

Alright Daffy, it's been a long week and I'm gonna see if I can get a little extra sleep. Take care. Have a fun weekend!

Yeah, I like that too. Really, anything between 65 and 75 is fine by me. I can't live without AC. I have asthma and when it is hot and humid, I can't breathe. In Michigan, if its hot, its humid, guarantied. |

When I was a little girl, I lived in Okinawa and when it rained, it was still warm, so I played in the rain all the time. |

I do too! Sometimes it sort of cleanses ya of things. If I'm walking in bad weather, I start realizing the problems I have are not that bad and feel for the people who are homeless and have to be out in the weather. Or sometimes I just daydream. |

I like the rainbow after a rain - the sound of rain at night - thunder and lighting - rain smashing against the window - driving in a big rain storm. In Florida it rained the same time every day like clockwork. It was very refreshing. I like watching rain travel across a lake in patches. Does anyone use an unbrella? I dont.

It is right across the Lousianne line. It's a hundrend miles east of Houston. It's a fourteen hour drive from Florida. We are seven miles west of Beaumont. |

Hi Dryad I haven't read any of your posts but those on here but I find you to be a very pleasant person to read. I imagine you are strong in your beliefs or feeling about certain subject matters and that is what I love most about the people on Topix that they hold firm to what they belief in or believe to be. I hope to get to see more of you around Topix. |

Your not alone! I love being in the rain and feeling against my face and skin. I love the way it smells when it wets the earth. I'm a big water baby love the water any way I can get it. |

One thing I like about my area in Tennessee is if it's very hot during the day it always cools off at night unlike Texas. |

The farthest South I've been in Texas was in Corsicana. |

We used to get snow here but it rarely does that, if it does it just snows about one inch, enough to irritate my toes. Can you remember that big ice storm we had in Dallas, Texas? I think it was in (around) 1980. It was right after the Texas Heat Wave. I remember people wearing shirts that said "I survived the Texas Heat Wave". The last ice storm we had here in Tennessee was in 1993. |
