Hi there..I know that the 'other world' exist. But never thot that I will encounter an experience like i did. I've seen it happen in movies..tv series..but never thot that it will ever happen to me, for real. I dare not talk to anyone bcoz I'm afraid they are going to say that i'm crazy or hallucinating..I'm not sure if this will be the right forum to discuss/share my experience. So..comments are welcome.
Hi May Girl, would it help if I was the first to tell one of my storries?I'm sure there will be ppl who think I'm crazy...
But one morning I made a bowl of cereal, and I could not find any spoons. There was none, none in the drawer, none in the dish drain, none in the sink.I asked my aunt when she got up.I thought she was messing with me.We go in the kitchen and we have spoons. Also my cousin & her baby were staying with me.The baby slept in my room. Her toy would go off in the middle of the night.I told my aunt about it the next day.The toy phone in the floor rang and then goes, hello.
There will always be ppl who beleive you,and ppl who will not.Everyone has their opinions. But it is what you know and you beleive that matters.

I believe in spirits, and also believe that kids and animals can see them.
I've witnessed similar things with projection. The majority of children and animals project out of their bodies freely. You can see them every time you project yourself if you live around children. The problem, though, is that there's no one to teach them how to retain the memories from the experiences, so they forget immediately afterwards.

It took me a while to figure out what was going on. I'd see one of the kids I lived with projecting, and ask him about it later and he had no idea what I was talking about. After I taught him to how to keep the memories, he had a blast with it and still practices it regularly to this day.

tell me more, what exactly is "projection" and is it like "out of body experiences"?...very interesting to say the least. I want to learn more about this. I have a friend that says when he meditates, that he can freely move around without his body, and has told me some freaky stuff. Is this sort of like what you are talking about?? thanks for the info.

Considering the sourse, which is you. I will take that as a complement. See I have read your posts also, and I can see where you and wip are kindred spirits. Remember the movie Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels did together. Need I say more.

I've been experiencing out of body projections since a near death experience when I was 2. Hundreds and hundreds of them. I can induce them now when I work at it. Takes me about 45 minutes.
Have you seen Bigfoot in any of your out of body projections? And next time you do it, see if you can find Jimmy Hoffa.

Nope, no bigfoot or Jimmy Hoffa. I'll keep an eye out on your behalf, though.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about. As living beings (I don't say human because I've seen animals do it), we have the built-in ability to create a temporary copy of our etheric bodies (picture "Spirit". It's not really the same but the concept is similar) and be aware of it the same way you're aware of your body right now.

A common misconception is that you actually leave your body when you project. But once you do it for a while you find that isn't really what's going on. You're really creating a "double", or a second "spirit" and looking out through that one. The copy isn't bound by normal physics, meaning you can fly, slip through walls, whatever. It also can't be hurt by anything you encounter, because at worst the copy gets disrupted and your awareness shifts back to your body.

So anyway, using this ability, which we all have, you can "break free" of your physical body. You might wander around your own environment, but more often you'll be shifted into other "planes". Your friend will know right what I'm talking about.

The other tricky part is remembering the experience. If you doubt things can just disappear from your memory, think of every dream you ever had that faded from your memory after waking up. Test it further. Try to list every dream you had last week.

You can learn to retain your memories of your out of body experiences same as you can learn to retain your memories of your dreams. The mechanisms are related and so are the techniques. Your friend could probably help you with that, too.

the ghost was not my grandmother she was one of the people asleep in the 100+ year old house. we don't know who the ghost is/was we just called him uncle charlie to identify him amongst the family members who knew who we were refering to. we didn't tell outsiders, that would have caused a stir in the small alabama town back then. my grandmother has since past and the house was sold, no extra charge for uncle charlie.

That is fascinating WIP, and probably one of the many things I would like to learn more about. Is there a web site or books on the subject I can learn more from? And even where to find out how to get into that "mind-set" so that anyone can experience it? My Buddy has told me a little about it thru meditation, but he lives in Nebraska and we don't talk very often. Very interesting subject. Thanks. peace. and glad we finally seem to have found a little "common ground".

Hey, at the VERY least, I know how to spell "source". And thanks for the compliment; I'd be honored to be in the same league as WIP, but I can't possibly claim I am.

Nope, haven't seen a movie with those two in it. Was it based on your life?

I had a bizarre experience while meditating. I saw that my brain was like a ball of energy. I was so surprised by this, I stopped focusing on my meditation and just focused on this ball of energy. I layed down on the ground and stared at the ceiling, focusing on this. It was as if I was looking at my mind without any thoughts getting in the way.

If you're willing to put in a little work to make things easier later, meaning you're willing to wait a little for the OBEs while you lay the energy pathway groundwork, one of the best books I've ever read on the subject is "Astral Dynamics", by Robert Bruce.
He forgoes all the angels and passivity nonsense and approaches projection and energy work from a uniquely western, scientific point of view, based on his personal experience and his experience in teaching others.
I really appreciated that, since I care more about the mechanics involved, how to replicate them and what's actually happening than I do about turning it into some quasi-religious god-finding quest.
Thanks WIP. I'll give the book a try.

Hey Longshanks...
yeah the land had some Legends around it....used to be a cemetary, etc...and before my grandparents bought it & remodeled it the previous owners sold it after only a few months in it...seems the husband bought it for his "new wife" (as in younger & prettier, after we was widowed) and she was terrified of the home..
My opinion is my Grandma had some connection to both sides in that house and knowing she was there kept us from any serious harm...
But I guess we will never know...the house is empty (again) & i toy with the idea of buying it & keeping it for a vacation home or something and of course to document anything that might happen, but my family says to just leave it alone.
LOL...perhaps someday I will buy it & see what happens, eh?
Thanks for your comments, I thought y'all might think I was nuts, LOL
Live Well,

Your no crazier than the rest of us Wheezy.

I'm with your family, I'd just leave it alone. The first time I would have saw the luminescent reddish green eyes and felt someone touching me that wasn't there I'd of been out of that house so fast!! I doubt I could have ever slept there again. LOL

The trick is to stay tethered, sort of like one of those big Macy's Day Baloons, and making sure you have a stopping point, as in 'brake, brake, brake>>> >>>>
or its' oops!! for you....)))
