Why are you blaming the US?

So many people feel the need to flock to the US when they can do the same things right where they are at.

While you are complaining what the US owes you, the money is getting sucked out of my pocket to help the entire world. Enjoy your time off. Many Americans work 50-60 hours a week so they can give half of their paychecks to the government, which in turn hand it over to ungrateful people.

Americans die early from heart attacks and weight problems due to STRESS and quick and cheap meals because we don't have the TIME!!

I am serious about this, we should return to Spain. At least they speak our language, ours closely resembles the Canary Islanders'. After all we were once considered "forever loyal" and one of the last overseas provinces of Spain, for at least a year, the other was Cuba. We lasted approximately one year as a overseas province before the gringos invaded.
Right now the euro is worth more than the lousy dollar, there is universal health care, and with a Spanish passport, we can travel all over Europe. Besides, it is much more liberal than the U.S.
We can become the first Latin American country to join in the reconquest of the new world.
Who wants to start the movement, and will Spain be willing to take us back.
It certainly would be to their advantage, in terms of having a new foot in the Western Hemisphere.
Spain would be more than happy and so would many Puerto Ricans.

Puerto Rico should stop freeloading off of the US Government and stop having kids with different dad's, and using the welfare system, don't work. Go back to Puerto Rico and wave your flag there. This is America speak English. If I visited Europe again, the country does not hand out English papers,or go out of the way to help, and I don't cry racism to the people of Italy,Spain,France for not printing English just for me. When I visit a country I speak their language period. Puerto Ricans want everything handed to them on a plate. But when it comes to vote for independent country they all vote no because they want the free handouts from the US Government. The Philippines is ok without the US if any one remembers the US let the Philippines go after World War 2. England let Hong Kong back to China in 1997. Hong Kong is doing OK,no problems. See a smooth transition would be nice.
Freeloading? The U.S. takes more from Puerto Rico than it gives. By the way, majority of the Puerto Ricans are Spaniards. Therefore, it makes perfect sense to become a Spanish Province ONCE AGAIN!

Sure. That will be the final solution. Since the Congress do not want us, we should return to our original mother for nurture.
Raul, the story that we get is that you people in Puerto Rico block the vote to become a state of the United States. You can't have it both ways. Either stop blocking the vote to become our 51 state or shut the hell up.

Reality Check, Puerto Rico did not break off and float anywhere. It has always been an island in the Gulf of Mexico and after the US defeated the Spanish in the war of 1898, Puerto Rico came under the protection of the US. Puerto Rico has it really good as was stated in not having to pay taxes. Go ahead and let them screw up. The assholes we have in Washington would probably let them go back to SPain and partician to become under their rule. We have given back the Panama Canal to Panama after we made a deal for the land and built the Canal, We gave back Okinawa to the Japanese. We go in and fight other peoples wars for them at our expense and don't even get a thank you for getting killed fighting their wars and rebuilding their countries all at the expense of the lives of the GI's and the American tax payer. It might not be such a bad idea to unload the deadbeat island. It would stop being a tax drain on us.

Yall people living in lala land... The average PRican is about 60% taino 23% black and 17% white(spanish)...
Out of this 17% of 'whiteness' there is a good percentage that 50% is of Jewish ancestry (remember the spanish inquisition, where Marranos where kicked out and dumped into america, others left to other east european countries... PRicans have been living under colonialism for more than 500years and (as tainos) have suffered a genocide that pale in comparison to the Nazi persecution of the jews OVER 3,000,000 WHERE EXTERMINATED IN BORIKEN(PUERTO RICO), AND 10,000,000 IN HAITI(HISPANIOLA) ACCORDING TO NOAM CHOMSKY AND BARTOLOME DE LAS CASAS not to mention the others in Jamika(Jamaica), and Cubanacan(Cuba) without the help of poison gas or machine guns... Puerto Rico should not become a state. Americans can care less about that island. The only logical choice is to return to Spain. It ensures that the rich Spanish culture is never lost!! Do the smart thing. If Spain wants u - go home!! It's where you belong!!!!

If Puerto Rico wants to return to Spanish Rule then let them. I believe Puerto Rico should be given their independence let them support themselves instead of the American Taxpayer. Other than Rum what has the people of Puerto Rice given to America. They have a huge population of welare recepents, they are not required to pay Federal Income Taxes, too many refuse to speak english, armed guards have to patrol beaches to insure tourist safety. So let them fend for themselves.
You are very wrong about this!! 1898 we became part of the USA were I was born. The USA striped all my Grandparents of their Citizenship of The Kingdom of Spain. Not only rum but soldiers from Puerto Rico fighting for the USA. I am now a dual citizen!! Both USA and Spain.

No, dummy. Did Hawaii float off after stateehood? Puerto Rico was an island of Arawak taino indians called borinquen. The Spaniards arrived, after Cristoforo Colombo and settled the island thru massive spaniard immigration. Indians were enslaved by the hispanics (bear in mind, this is 400 years before George Washington & the US slavery) when european deceases brought by the white hispanics killed off 90% of the native americans, the Spaniards introduced Black African slaves bought from the arabs.(when will the NAACP ask Saudi Arabia for reparations?)
As the Spanish colonies rebelled, Spain realized that a majority white populace would be loyal to the crown. The "Royal Dercree Of Graces" invited Germans, Irish(wild geese) Italians, portuguese to settle PR and Cuba. It worked so weell in PR, that in early 1898,Spain granted autonomy status to Puerto Rico with FULL REPRESENTATION in Spain. That is Spain's equivalent of statehood. Puerto Rico had integrated fully into the Hispanic motherland. Months later the Nation of Spain was physically invaded via Puerto Rico.
It was indeed an invasion. But Puerto Rico was fully part of Spain. Puerto Rico has NEVER been independent. Those who favor independence twist the truth by saying that the US invaded the autonomous "nation" of Puerto Rico. PR was NEVER a nation!!!

Are you CRAZY?? This is typical childish nonsense, making
up astronomical numbers! There were NOT 3,000,000 tainos in Puerto Rico!! There weren't 10,000,000 in hispañola. Idont care how much technology you have as Spaniards! 13,000,000 taino arawaks would have slaughtered the few thousand Spaniards!! Where are the great taino versions of the greek ruins? Or the taino pyramids, like in Egypt, and Central America? Such a massive population in Puerto Rico would have a advanced civilization. Were they primitive imbeciles? NO, they were not as numerous!!

Bartolome De Las Casas spoke of the Millions in the western Hemisphere. Not just the caribean and his local mission. Did he actually count them? This is the hispanic version of the Black myth that 80,000,000 blacks died in the slave trade. Well, if that was true, slavery would have ended centuries earlier due to heavy financial losees!

Last, not least, TELL THE WHOLE STORY on DNA!!! The people doing the DNA study were biased in wanting to "prove" Puerto Ricans are indians,(even though we look nothing like Peruvians, Ecuadorians,Illegal Mexicans(who are mestizo to pure indian) instead, we Puerto Ricans resemble either tanned south Mediterranean europeans, or we look mixed with Black. There is not one PR that I ,as a Nuyorican, could mistake for a Mexican or Guatemalan indian! The DNA TEST showed 60% maternal mitochondrial DNA on THOSE PICKED for the study.( 5 whites,or Blacks, or multiracials can be picked, depending on which ancestry I want to show the world!) 23% black? Where was this study? La Perla? South bronx? AHA! These very same people you mentioned had 73% Caucasian Paternal DNA! Since paternal DNA is dominant (male sperm) it explains why no matter how much you deny the whiteness, Puerto rican racial mix leans heavily toward the European. WHETHER NATIONALIST SEPERATISTS LIKE YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.

Just one correction to your statement, Puerto Rico is not in the Gulf of Mexico it is in the Caribbean ocean…big difference!

Well since you an arab fan brought the issue, our Mother Country was under arab administration for 700 hundred years or so, no juan was with a calendar counting. I am glad to collaborate with human understanding, piss and love, sorry peace.
In brief some islandricans look like: arabs, pakis, oriental, utus, tuts is,busmen, irish, and a persecuted minority in the whole wild world:ugly/translucent/albinos .
That is wrong lol Spain was not under Arab administration, the Arabs were ruling in small parts of southern Spain and later was invaded and kicked out by the kingdom of Castile. Spain was made up of many kingdoms, Castile, Leon, Aragon etc later they united to form Spain. Spain kicked out the Arabs. The Spanish language is Castilian because Castile was the most powerful kingdom that annexed the other Spanish kingdoms. The catholic monarchs initiated the Spanish inquisition to get rid of all the converts to Catholicism so that means almost all traces of the arabs were wiped out

Tuvok, you are the reason why noone likes the US. Your attitude justifies the ignorance that many like yourself have toward those not living on the mainland. Giving land to a bully so they can shoot off their toys and kill farmers and widelife is not an achievement. It makes you a bad guy. Puerto Rico has the right to choose what they want. It still is a country not a state. We assist the US which nowadays nobody else does. WHY? Your attitude sums it up. Spain gave us a rich culture as well as the indigenous Taino and African influence. What has the US given us besides no taxes, welfare, destruction of culture, supremacy, extreme corruption, and the many MANY sacrifices of puertorican blood militants to fight wars created by the ignorance of American gringos and their greedy ambitions. As a Puertorican-American US marine, do your homework or find a hole and bury yourself it. Semper Fi

I have the best answer; deporte the Puerto Ricans to Spain or Cuba, which ever they choose and make the Island part of the State of Florida. Problem solved!:-D
