The financial collapse that so many of us have been anticipating is seemingly closer then ever. Over the past several weeks, there have been a host of ominous signs for the U.S. economy. Yields on U.S. Treasuries have moved up rapidly and Moody’s is publicly warning that it may have to cut the rating on U.S. government debt soon. Mortgage rates are also moving up aggressively. The euro and the U.S. dollar both look incredibly shaky. Jobs continue to be shipped out of the United States at a blistering pace as our politicians stand by and do nothing.

Why should they worry they have jobs? What do you think of Donald Trump for president?

Hi DD
A President is only a puppet for the CEOs of big business. A President has no real power, it's all for show. He is told what to do, what to say and when to say and do it.

Donald Trump is a registered Republican in the State of New York. Not a registered Conservative.
As an independent business man, no he is not a puppet. But in the White House, you 'will' play their game or you are out... dead or alive. It's that simple. Ask JFK and his brothers.
The President as I've said is a table ornament, a chess piece that has restrained movement of powers. One space at a time. While his bishops and castles, etc., move many spaces in all directions.
.
How many of Obama prior promises before election has he fulfilled?
Zero. Why. Because Congress and the 'Big Boys' won't let him do those items he promised, that's why..

What do you propose that people should do in light of this? Do you believe there is a way to prepare--wrather quickly at that. Tell us.

If you still have a job and things are tight....
Go with necessity items, only. Cut back on all wasteful spending.
And stock up on non perishable foods and dry goods
Prepare a water supply
And trust in God.

I have some money put aside. I do not have a job. However I don't pay rent or land tax. I have few expenses. I have been all along putting aside canned food. I pressure cooked rabbit stew. I know how to can deer meat. In light of what I see--I am determined to put away food every week. I dried sweet and hot peppers. You can can stuff all winter. My 19 year old works part time. I have a 14 year old with health issues. The land I live on cant be taxed and we can hunt game all year. My heart is fully thanful that we have a place to put our head. I dont have to buy wood either. I think sometimes how it would help the homeless if there was a place to put their tents instead of getting chased out. What do you think?

I think it would be great if people who have good ideas on saving money and do it yourself type things. We could help each other and give someone an idea they havent thought of. That would be helpful and interesting.

The way I look at it my parents went through the great depression and made it. I think people will just have to adapt as they go along. We will make just fine . I just hope they dont' raise the retirement age.I say let us retire and let the younger people have our jobs.I lost my job back in 2002. I did'nt have to but I went back to and retrained for a job. People that are out of work make it mean something go back to school. The way I looked at it . They gave me a lemon so I made lemon aide. Look at the bright side. Thats what I always try to do.

The tent Idea is good but be careful. Poverty leads to thievery in most cases, out of desperation, even if they are nice people.
Ever hear of Mother earth magazine..It's loaded with great ideas.

It's a shame that the shelters are overflowing na theres no room ata the inn.Yes--I have to check out mother earth. I have a lot of things I need to learn. God is a good God and he will hear our cry.

In the great depression about 90% of the people lived on farms, today over 90% of people live in the cities. Theres no way the gov. can take care of all these people. Youtube mass graves and FEMA camps.
