AND OF COURSE HE WILL BLAME IT ALL ON THE REPUBLICANS. The White House rejected a proposal from House Speaker John Boehner today that would have raised taxes on Americans earning up to $1 million per year. CBNC reports that the Obama administration says Boehner's "Plan B" doesn't go far enough. The White House wants to increase taxes on every American making $400,000 annually in order to finance more of the President's failed tax-and-spend policies. The Speaker says he still expects "Plan B" to be voted on by the House next week. But Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says even if it's approved in the House, the proposal won't pass the Senate. Not surprisingly, Nancy Pelosi also rejected "Plan B," even though it's essentially the same plan the House Minority Leader recommended this past May.++ Boehner's Problem with Conservatives = discrimination.
The problem conservatives have with Boehner's plan is that he's proposing tax increases while condemning the White House for not taking a "balanced approach" to our fiscal problems. For weeks now, the American people have witnessed the back-and-forth bickering, the political spin and the stonewalling. They want the media to gossip and rumor in their news that it's all the Republican's fault. We've endured the rhetoric about the so-called "fiscal cliff" --$600 billion in tax increases and spending cuts set to take effect January 2, 2013. This Obama-manufactured crisis is designed to frighten Americans into accepting massive tax hikes and a further expansion of the federal government. Yet, we still have both sides embracing outrageous tax-and-spend policies that have failed America time and time again. We've seen his scenario before. The two parties at loggerheads, then suddenly -- in the darkened corridors of Congressional offices -- a deal is hammered out in the twelfth hour. We've felt the fallout from these kinds of political deals too many times in the past, and they never go well for the American people. We're the ones left to pick up the pieces, while both parties sneak away from Capitol Hill unchecked and unchallenged. Not this time ..."We've reached a point where the collective voice of conservative Americans must be heard above the 'fiscal cliff' rhetoric of Congress," says Grassfire founder Steve Elliott.++ 100,000 Petitions to Boehner, Cantor and Ryan!
With few details emerging from Washington, D.C., our plan is to move quickly on Friday morning, December 21, and hand-deliver at least 100,000 petitions to the key players in the fiscal-cliff debate -- including House Speaker John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan and others in Congress.
