Veterans Administration screwing vet

The Va sent me a notice that they had over paid me. Said after my last divorce I was still receiving dependent pay for her although I had turned in my divorce papers and they started paying me as a single vet. this was in 1995. I remarried in 2002 and they never paid me for dependent pay for 7 years even though I took my current wife and marriage license to the Va in Millington and they logged it into the system. My wife also get her ID card.
Now we have had to file a Notice of disagreement and the VA told us that it could take up to a year to get it straightened out.
I am not rich and do not draw that much money. They have started to pay me now for my wife now but said they will only go back a few years and took it off what I supposedly owe them which was about 35,000 dollars.
All of this is not right. Someone really screwed me out of my disability. My house floors are falling in and i am waiting for them to decide when they will give my money back and leave me alone.
i am also entitled to back pay for my wife to 2002 but so far they have told me no.
This is not how the Veternas ASSociation should treat it's veterans and I am very mad. If it is not settled in a short time, I will go sit on the white house steps until they do me right.

During the "Tuskeegee Experiment" Veteran Black Americans were given no treatment for syphilis by the VA Hospital nor were they even informed that they had syphilis! These men were left to die without even understanding why. And how many other people did they infect while they unknowingly carried the disease? We will never know.

Many guys were infected by Agent Orange in Vietnam but benefits and treatment were witheld by denying (outright lying) about the use of Agent Orange in "friendly territory".

Lots of guys are suffering from exposure to "radioactive dirty weaponery" during the war in Irak. The VA refused to recognise their illnesses.

During the 50's many American military personell were put in harms way during atomic bomb experiments. Their deaths were particularly horrific and the VA did not give them any special benefits or recognise their illness were "related".

During "Project MK ULTRA" soldiers were secretly and intentionally subjected to LSD in laboratory conditions at Edgewood Arsenal. Many of these men died or went mad. No benefits or help have been forthecoming. Not only that but those men were forced to sign a secrecy agreement that aything that took place during the experiments could not be reveiled to the public or they would be punished by law, so ....... seeking help from civilian doctors for their problems was "illegal" because it was considered "blowing the whistle".

No problem. I'm a vet myself. I signed up for those experiments at Edgewood Arsenal, after having been told that the experiments were "not dangerous". I was "fortunate" however, because they sent me to Vietnam instead.

Hang in there bro. There MUST be some private, voluntary organization that can help you. It's just a matter of finding out "who" and "where". Canada, perhaps?

Keep your chin up and definetly stay on them. Annoy them to the ends of the earth if you have to (and are able).
Unfortunately the only surprise would be if the VA actually took care of you the way they should. Being screwed by the VA = SNAFU.
