If Obama can do as good, as Bush did bad, this nation would see our finest moments ever.

But it we can agree on anything, Obama has a mess to fix. And I'm liking the fact that he's decided it has to be resolved together. Bush's mess can't be fixed with a partisan effort.

I also like that he's pressing for sacrifice. Something Bush didn't do. In fact I thought Bush wanted folks to think record-level taxcuts for the wealthy and nation-building in Iraq comes for free. While he borrowed and borrowed from Communist China to pay for his not wanting to ask us to sacrifice.

People respect straight talk. And America isn't afraid to sacrifice. No need for constant pie-in-the-sky from our President. We're who we are because we are willing to sacrfice when needed.

Bush talked about sacrifice, but that was the last initiative he wanted to present to Americans.

Yeah, people talk about the Dems being for raising taxes, welfare, etc. However, the Bush administration did more to weaken our country economically more then anyone else I've seen in my lifetime.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes:

When asked just after the invasion of Iraq, how long we would have to stay there, he said I don't know, 6 days, 6 weeks, but probably not 6 months.

There is also a great one where (I think) Cheney is telling people that the whole cost of Iraq reconstruction wouldn't end up costing the US taxpayers more the 1.5 million dollars.

Whatever else I might think of these guys, they aren't stupid. In fact they pretty damn smart. So when you look back at all the promises and predictions they made, you have to pretty much realize that they are just bald face liars.

Riiiight, just like good ole Billy boy Clintion vowed, " I did not have sexual relations with that girl." Face it Mr. Naive One, the Dems aren't any better at being intellectual. If Clinton was doing his job instead of getting one, good ole George wouldn't have had to take over the mess that was left behind. Get over yourself.

What mess? When Bush got the reins, there was a budget surplus, no war and we'd just had the longest period of economic growth in decades.

Aren't you naive. lol. Clinton had plenty of warning signs about the future of our country, he chose to ignore them. He was too busy getting a "job" done on him. We wouldn't have had to go to war if the Clinton Administration did there job in capturing Bin Laden when we had the chance. Oh nooooo, we needed to be diplomatic about it. Clinton is as much to blame if not more so for the current status of our country's economic problems. You can't convince me otherwise.

I trust you're talking about the war in Afghanistan, and not the war in Iraq?

Second point - both Clinton and Bush share responsibility for the threat that became al-Qaeda on 9/11. Both are complicit for different reasons. Stop being silly - it was not one or the other. If you want citations and references I can provide them.

Your references that detail how the Clinton administration is responsible for our current recession?

Right! Your last sentence says it all "You can't convince me otherwise." We listed FACTS of the Clinton Administration such as, budget surplus, economic growth, lack of escalating wars, etc. and you basically came back with no facts of your own and the statement that no one will be able to convince you otherwise. The truth is, you "believe" what you WANT to believe despite the facts that say otherwise. I am aware of the mistakes and failures of democratic administrations, but they pale in comparison to the sheer destruction that George W. Bush has allowed to befall our economy and infrastructure.

Clinton was no "saint" either. I'll give ya that.
something other people dont talk about is that we never stopped bombing Iraq after we left in '91.
and dont get me started on the "no fly zones".

and then we even bombed (under Clinton) a "weapons factory" that turned out to be aspirin making company.

and then Somalia in 1993; that wasnt exactly a shining American moment. we shoulda gone back in and FINISHED the job. thats why we're fighting the "not so" Pirates of the Caribbean over there now.

but compared to Bush Jr.
ya KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!

explain this to me:

9/11
+ Bin Laden

= Iraq??

I supposed 2 + 2 = 5 next??
