Mind your own business. If the person is entitled to unemployment, he has to get it. Of course, he's stupid to brag about working off the books, but I would stay out of it. There's so many worse offenders like illegal aliens receiving free health care and numerous benefits and women who claim they are single when they are married to get welfare.

Sure turn them in. But use a false name. I once made a complaint to OSHA about my job having dangerous chemicals stored illegally. They swore they wouldn't say who reported it, but when the guy came, the first words out of his mouth were "According to New Thread ..."

My girlfriend's roomate of 5 years hasn't worked in a year. She feigns attempts to find work, and has even pretended to go on interviews. Apparently, her unemployment was meant to stop several months ago, but she succeeded in getting an emergency extension.
Isn't it required that a person show proof of effort to find work? At this point, I truly think she is psychologically DISABLED!!

i know someone getting unemployment and he only worked a whole 2 months in 3 years.and has been getting it for the last year.how?is beyond me.u should have to show proof that u r at least trying to find work.this person sits on his butt all day draws unemployment and spends all the money on alcohol.he even goes to jail for 30 days at a time and still recieves it because his wife calls in for him.and nothing gets done about it.

REPORT IT!!! All the cases above should have been reported! This isn't just extra money people, this is YOUR money being spent on these ppl! Who do you think ends up paying for all this waste? The working people! Is it any wonder why those working end up seeing most of their paychecks cut for taxes...well by doing nothing hope you will enjoy a greater cut in your take home pay because for every person that does nothing consider that's more money taken from your wallet!!

REPORT IT!!!

Plain and simple ignorance and one of the worst cases of absolute idiotic excuses to do nothing! Let me guess, you don't work but ARE one of those living off the system, otherwise this sort of remark would have NEVER came from your mouth...only those that are feeding off of others does this sort of despicable laziness to do NOTHING exist..EDUCATE, RESPONSIBILITY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY...Learn it, Live it and freaking DO SOMETHING!!!

I know a Guy who made a few mistakes claiming and went back to legitimately working 40 hours after recieving two checks and stopped claiming. He got an audit notice in the mail dated for the 20th that stated he claimed bot checks with wrong hours. Now he has to explain the mistakes in an audit form. But he did not do this maliciously and with an intent to commit fraud, he got confused for gross and net pay and got his weeks backwards on two weeks he also mistakenly hit the wrong button when claiming by phone. the first two week s he did not report at all as he was not paid for and held behind a check. He began work on a payday anand didnt understand the system very well. He may owe the state 500 dollars at the most. They will work with you if this was a mistake on your behalf. Please send that form back. You wont regret it.

I work with a gal who makes $13 per hour plus commission. She gets paid cash while the rest of us have to be paid by check and have taxes withheld. Oh, and she is drawing unemployment too. This chick is taking home close to a grand a week while I work circles around her and take home around $350 after taxes. I would love to turn her in but if I do, the only thing that will happen is me getting fired. Totally sucks and no, you can't report someone anonymously. You have to give them your name and provide proof.
