Anyone know whats going on with Boroian's South Beach Naturals case and Carol Brothers. I read in the franchise times that a trial date has been blocked off for this year.

Will that go to trial

I have been extremely impressed with Francorp's work. Very well done. I recommend Francorp.

I think Boroian's trial starts Monday, Can anyone confirm that date? I wonder how Don will fare in this?

There was a report recently about his tax woes, he seems to be neglecting the payroll taxes again. I know a few more employees left the firm recently and Francorp is in arrears to them for several months of pay.

I wonder if Janet Sparks will attend the trial - that would be nice toget some daily reports of how Don is holding up.

It shouldn't be long now..just in time for Halloween

Francorp has had 6 clients sell their first franchise this week. Great success for new franchisors. Francorp continues to set the standard for this industry.

As we are approaching the 1-year-anniversary of "Don Boroian and Francorp Expanding Company," and last Friday's events, I'm wondering if the Stockholm Syndrome folks who started this thread will chime in. I wonder what kind of spin there will be in the forthcoming days. I sincerely hope all of them can escape and get to a better place.

You never know...they certainly were vocal throughout the discussion, 208 posts and counting, although 203 of them are nothing more than a parrot's parody of, "Francorp is the best company in the world."

I wonder if he'll have to sell it.
I'll let the blog entry speak for itself-- Stockholm Syndrome, indeed.

Francorp is still the best in the business at launching franchise systems.
You sure about that

Francorp’s Chairman, Don Boroian held a meeting three weeks ago with the entire staff of 60 people at Francorp. The meeting was focused on the economy and the direction of our business, country and global economy. Mr. Boroian is extremely well read, he goes through 6 papers every day and reads numerous publications focusing on the economy and economic news.
He voiced some of the concerns that every American is going through right now. Where is the light at the end of the tunnel here? What is tomorrow going to look like? When could I possibly retire with all these swings in the market? Don Boroian has not acheived all of the successes and accolades he has compiled in his 55 years of business by being one of the “flock”. Mr. Boroian expressed an extreme displeasure with the media and their focus on the negative aspects of our economy.... this is nothing new to Don Boroian.
Francorp has recently hired Gail Doonan on full time as Regional Director Administrator. Ms. Doonan brings over 30 years of business experience to Francorp and Francorp clients. She has owned her own businesses and successfully managed client projects for some time. Ms. Doonan will be working closely with the Francorp Regional Directors, who are a nationwide network of franchise brokers and franchise sales people.
Francorp also recently brought on Tiffany Franco as a full time person. Ms. Franco works closely with Mr. Christopher J. Conner, Vice President of Francorp Consulting. Ms. Franco brings over 10 years of business experience to the consulting firm.
Francorp will also be adding some additional staff to support and manage client development. Mr. Boroian closed the meeting with Francorp Staff with a final thought.“As long as we can continue to develop successful clients who sell franchises, Francorp will continue to sit at the top of it’s industry. Everything we do is to be of the highest quality workmanship and nothing leaves this building without every bit of our effort and attention. At Francorp, the client is king.”
1 year later, what's the status here? Please fill me in. Still 60 and expanding?

The thread is self explanatory - The firm has only about 10-11 professionals left, many are family members, none have any experience working for a franchisor. The firm has consistently missed payroll for over 7 months now, and they owe former employees thousands of dollars. Don recently lost a civil suit and it looks like the plaintiffs will be going after Francorps receivables.
Also - there has been a concerted effort on this board and Blue Mau Mau to keep this story front and center. It is important that any potential Francorp client who may be doing homework on the web, find this information on Boroian and staff. If we can continue to get the word out - Francorp will have to eventually shut down.

It is always funny to notice where negative comments about Francorp come from. The consulting firm is literally the best franchise development company in the world. The negative comment comes from Chicago, where former employees of Francorp who couldn't cut it at Francorp now try to be competitors. It is a shame that through the internet people can hide behind their comments without disclosing who they are. Francorp consistently has delivered the best work and the most successful franchise companies in the market for over 32 years. That is no secret.
NOW you know how it feels to have a restaurant constantly cyber harassed by competitors who are bad owners and jealous of a successful business. Francorp has no board to remove a runaway CEO.
Unfortunate because it was once a solid company.
If find this disturbing

Donald Boroian and Francorp have been sued for fraud and deceptive trade. The franchises won and received a judgement against both Francorp and Donald Boroian. He was suppose to pay the franchisee back. He is in default in his promised payments and has not paid in the last 5 months. Watch out!!

There are good comments here from both sides of the fence. However, as a former competitive athlete and long time business owner myself, we have a saying that stays in my mind. It goes something like this-> " It's always easier from the bleachers than it is on the field". Get in the game and see how you do over 30+ years of business in an extremely highly regulated market sector.

After the chatter subsides, there are ALWAYS very few still standing when it comes time to deliver, or better yet, cut their check. That's the moment in time that separates the men from the boys... There's a reason why they say "Talk is Cheap".

I've known Don Boroian and his organization Francorp for over 20 years. There's nobody more knowledgeable, and no other franchising organization that comes close to the breadth of experience and resources offered by Don personally, or his Francorp group...

Don and his group are so effectively knowledgeable and powerful as it relates to business processes and systems, I swear you could walk in their office with a business idea, and your checkbook, and after a few weeks working with their experts, you'll have a success blueprint for a multimillion dollar business that's ready to implement... You get what you pay for.

If you aren't prepared to pay for their experience, you'll pay for it in lost opportunity cost whether you realize it or not...

As for any issues that Don or the company have had, I'll still write my check because I know their is no better resource. The economy kicked the crap out of most stable organizations, and dissolved entire industries. Look around, your US Gov't is also broke, and seriously corrupt... and failing to meet financial their obligations.

The fact that Don and Francorp are still standing, and in the same building says all that I need to see... These guys have game... I'm putting my money with them, regardless of the chatter from the gallery.

I've been a founder and CEO of a publicly traded company, and I've got tons of international business experience. I hire the best, and ONLY pay for results. My exhaustive due diligence and business experience shows there is no legitimate alternative in business development .

Its a big bite financially for smaller operators, especially in this economy. However, the potential for revenue loss is much greater without them...

Francorp, and Don are like buying business success insurance... You can go without it, but it's risky... I bet on winners, and players of the game.. Nobody's perfect, but there's always the superstars. Francorp, and Don are the superstars. Everyone else in the industry was schooled at Francorp. Just ask their competitors!

Get off the sidelines and get in the game.... Chatter never made me any money...
