Getting Interviews For My Show

When I get my mind set on getting an interview with someone, it is hard for anything to change my mind. The only thing that helps me change my mind is time.
There was a group on AGT a few years ago that I was Going to interview, no matter what. I think I got close to getting that interview but something happened, I don’t know what, I think it was something I said on the phone call. I got to the point where their manager called me. The whole way through the conversation I thought I would be buying a ticket to go up there and do the interview. At the end of the call she said that they were too busy. I kept trying but now I guess I’m over it.
There are many singers that I have tried getting interviews with but there publicists say that they are too busy. One time I finally got someone to admit that it was more about the fact that not enough people watch my show online.
Now there is another singer that I am hoping to interview, Danielle, The Voice. And I have contacted NBC and they forwarded my request to a management company. They sent” me an email saying that “She is too busy…” That is what they all say, I am used to that answer. But this time is different for me, I live too close to where she is from for me not to get the interview.
I keep going on and on, is there anything, any advice anyone could give me.

If you wish to interview someone, wait until they are on tour, appearing your vicinity, have just done something stupendous, what charities they support and have done something for recently.
There's a few starters for you.
I spent 50 years in broadcasting so I do Know what I'm talking about.

I have done most of that but I feel that no one thinks I am good enough to interview who I am trying to. How do I get people to take me seriously.
