Can someone explain. Adam and Eve had only 2 children (both sons). Adam had no other children (only sons). There had to be some other women unless Eve was also having sex with her sons. Is all of mankind the result of incest. Thank you

I've had this question for years and got 100 different answers from 100 men of gawd! Bible says that One brother slew the other then went off to the land of nod and begot a wife. Thats cool but if there were only kane and able, where did these women come from and where the heck is Nod? Sounds like drug talk to me.

(Genesis 5:4) The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters.

The difficulty with the Seth solution is that Cain had already murdered Abel and had been banished from the land by the time Seth was born. Eve remarked that the Lord had given her another son in place of Abel. So...no sons and daughters for Cain.
A possibility lies in the creation account where God created Man. "Male and female created He them." Then he instructs them to be fruitful and multiple and subdue the earth. Then He created Adam and placed him in the Garden.
I have a theory that Adam was sent to represent God on Earth. Adam was the government and God's emissary much as Israel was a peculiar treasure to Him distinct from other nations. This is why Christ may be referred to as the "second Adam". He fulfilled Adam's function, as well as His own redemptive purpose. And the government will be on His shoulders. This makes sense if you consider that Adam was to oust satan of his earthly possession and rule in his stead. If he didn't possess it then his temptation of Christ on the mountain were he offered the kingdoms of the world for Christ's loyalty and worship would have been a farce and no temptation at all. This may seem off topic, but I am trying to explain that there may have been chicks in the land of Nod that weren't of Adam's lineage because Adam was sent to govern this 6th day man as Christ will govern us in the future.
It is a small question, but the answer touches nearly everything.

According to the story, Adam and eve had a few sons and daughters.

This makes the entire human race the product of incest.

Note that in Genesis there are lots of other people that mysteriously appear that aren;t related to Adam and Eve.

Considering that much of Genesis is a garbled and altered retelling of the 3000 year older Sumerian Myths it is not surprising.
Note to that Genesis even admits its Sumerian origins in that Abraham comes from "Ur" a major Sumerian city. Abraham is a Sumerian. The 'Hebrews' didn't exist until a couple thousand years later.

The Bible makes a better detective story than a book of magic.

I don't think Abel ever married, but Cain and maybe another brother from the same mother married two sisters from East of Eden.
Winkin and Blinkin, the Nod sisters.

While many of your suppositions are correct, you neglect that the Garden of Eden was placed between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates, found in modern day Iraq.

Iraq is the location of ancient Sumer.
God called Abram out of Sumer.

Yeah, you got it pretty much right. The sons of Adam probably mated with their sisters and maybe their nieces. Who knows, maybe even their own mother. Sounds charming doesn't it?
