Forget Monica, and the rape accusations by Juanita Broadrick. There is Whitewater, the Travel Office fiasco, Filegate, Chinagate, etc.

It is funny how the voting shows a majority of Democrats, but when asked about whether Bill Clinton should be back in the White House and who the slimiest President, the majority say Clinton should not be in the WH and he is the slimiest.

I see we are still at 50/50. It astounds me that people are more upset by the Monica Lewinski scandal than by the pervasive corruption in the Bush administration. We were lied to about Iraq, Osama is still at large, gas prices have skyrocketed, we all owe $40,000 each to pay for the war (based on a lie), the economy is in shambles, they outed a CIA operative (treason), etc., yet people are still blind enough to support Bush. I am not fond of most politicians, but as far as Bush vs. Clinton, Clinton is not responsible for tens of thousands of deaths. I guess some people are still Victorian enough to be really really upset about sexual misconduct. As if that were more important than anything else.

For most of the vegetation on the boards, hating Dubya or Bill is not a function of careful analysis and weighing of guilt. It is about left and right. These people aren't 'thinking', they lack the rarified skills required to make a coherently justifiable choice.

Mostly, they do what their pundits tell them. It is rare to hear a statement of support that doesn't include six kinds of curses and two or three mispoken words.

It's unbelievable that there are fools who actually voted for that fat tub of lard, Clinton, as being "slim". Just goes to show the kool aid drinking sheep will back their puppetmaster under any circumstance.

Yeah, that's true about Clinton, but he didn't do anything to stop what is now going on in Iraq. He didn't pursue harsher resolutions on Iraq and he didn't pursue harsher punishment and inquiry into the Oil-for-Food program at the UN.

Neutrality is a cop-out.

Bush started out his first term making up the lie about the vandalism is the executive office buildings and has been lying ever since. The secrecy didn't start after 9-11 either, it was already in place as part of the plan by the neo-Nazi group, the Project for a New American Century. To Bush the American democracy is just a stepping stone to a 4th Reich.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Aries

There's a lot of tension in the air, with certain people poised to spit the dummy, as Mars turns retrograde in your fifth house of romance, children and speculation. Confrontations are likely. If these are nothing to do with you and you just happen to be directly in the firing line, your best bet is to make yourself scarce. But if you are responsible for their outraged feelings then you need to face the music, otherwise things will only get worse.
