I've always wondered:

If Adam and Eve were, according to the Bible, the first man and woman... and assuming they were both Caucasian, then how did we get African-Ameicans? Indians? Hispanics?

Wouldn't this mean that we're all related, if it started out with just them?

Also... once the Red Sea parted, and those following Moses were closely behind, before they crossed "a Sea," shouldn't they have worried about getting to the BOTTOM of it first, and then across? From what I understand, SEAS are pretty deep. So how did they get all the way down there?

Also, if my 4 year old child starts acting up, do I still take him into "town" and let people stone him to death? Does that still apply?

And last but not least, if all we hear are "accounts" of Jesus, which is all based on hearsay, why wasn't Jesus quoted directly? If they could quote Paul, why didn't they quote Jesus? Paul had to quote Jesus? Jesus couldn't speak for Himself?

This world took the word of 1, maybe 2 people and incorporated it into their lives.

Where are these people ancestors? Where is Job's people? Where is Paul's people? Abraham Lincoln has ancestors. I have ancestors. You have ancestors. If these people lived so long ago, surely they have some relatives around today, right? Where are they? Why isn't anybody stepping up, saying that Job was their great, great, great, great, great, great, great Grandfather... or something to that effect?

Where are the people of the Bible ancestors?

THEY absolutely were not the first ones. The bible says God created man in Their Own Image. Then further in that book it says God created Adam.
No doubt very confusing with the story about Adam and the one rib for Eve. We shall not understand fully til the end of this saga.

I'm Confused Why God continued the story after NOAH?
I'm Confused about the story from the beginning. I'm still confused, but I continue to seek and trust regardless of my own tainted thoughts concerning God's ways.
:)

Shepherds Chapel is a 24/7 Bible reading lesson for all to learn some of what so many preachers will falsely teach to further confuse us. Satan is at work and will do anything to interefere in our communion with JESUS.

If you do an online search, you will find that it's believed that Adam and Eve were the first humans. And if they weren't the first ones, then why were they paid attention to? What was so special about them, that as "just regular people" a story was told about them?

Why weren't the emphasis placed on the FIRST ONES, if they weren't it? This is why I disagree with what's taught in regards to Christianity.

You can provide just one sentence to 20 people, and each person will have a different version as to what that one sentence mean. Whereas, when it comes to spirituality, Peace means Peace. Harmony means harmony. Serenity means serenity.

I honestly believe that no one knows exactly what the bible means, and simply spend their lives guessing.

I can't honestly read a book that depicts God as a killer. I also can't read a book where many children AND babies are killed. They kill and blame it on God.

It takes just a minute to find out that God is LOVE. That's what God does... He Loves us unconditionally. So where does the killing, bloodshed, murders, etc. come in at?

Was that a reason to divert people's attention away from God and on to a "man?" Did man bring in a man so people wouldn't learn the "good truth" about God?

All the time spent worshipping a man, could be spent putting it where it belongs, and that is with GOD. I don't need two. There is just one God. I won't worship a man. I worship the Spirit, God because I am indeed Spirit.

I am Spirt. I'm having a temporary human experience. So there's no need for me to worship a man.

So well spoken.
The New Covenant is where we live and breathe.
Read Jesus words and trust not man's perspective.
I most certainly do not mean to come off as knowing much that I didn't try to convince myself after a man preached it to me. I try to just pay attention to the word. The Adam and Eve thing is just one I ponder greatly.
Peace to You and Yours

We are beings of rational and reasonable thinking. Not only that, we have ACCESS to tons of information. If something simply does not make sense, then nine times outta ten, it did not happen.

I've never seen a talking snake, and doubt if I ever will. A rational thinking person understands that snakes don't talk. But they talk for interesting reading, to keep a person interested.

If a person walked up to me and said they saw a snake talk, I'd look at them like they were crazy. It's not necessary that I BELIEVE everything that's told to me, especially if it's impossible.

In order to believe that, I'd have to see it for myself and I don't anticipate seeing A TALKING SNAKE anytime soon.

Okay, let's say they were Jewish, since Jesus "allegedly" was. How do you get African-American, Indian and Hispanic from that?

No matter how you mix it up, how did many nationalities (races) derive out of one? Surely, whatever they were, they were the same... right?

And if not, what mixture produces Caucasian, African-Americans, Indians, Hispanics, Chinese, Japanese, etc. How does that work?

There's no explanation or reasoning as to how so many races came from the first two people. Which makes that story unbelievable as well.

Yes, I've heard of Angels and from fairy tales, I read about giants.

Let's forget about books for a minute, and use our own head; our own thinking. Let's simply forget what we've read in any books and look at this picture.

Can a snake talk? Just from your own observations?
Can you get many nationalities out of two people?
They were told by God to not eat off a tree. So why was the tree there? For decoration?

I'm not going to use the same book to dispute that very book. It's like I'm my own judge and jury. Aside from what is in the bible, does any of it make sense?

And what about the 42 kids that teased the bald man. Bears came and ATE all 42 kids. Not one of them got away, huh?

Using rational thinking with our own heads and minds, does that seem possible?

"God sends two bears to rip up 42 little children for making fun of Elisha's bald head."

So because kids laughed at a man's head, GOD had bears eat them?

Does that make an ounce of sense to you? The All-Loving God had not one, not two, but 42 kids eaten just for laughing.

I'm wiser than that. I won't be fooled like that. I'm not the type of person to believe a story that even resembles anything like that.

And this is a book that people follow... Unbelievable!!

I'm even more confused, actually. In the year 2012, where we are much more advanced than generations that came before us, you have an entire group of people walking around carrying a book filled with murders, killings, children dying, stabbings, stoning, and attribute to a LOVING GOD.

How can that be?

Why didn't that book say it was JESUS that sent two bears to "KILL" 42 children just for laughing? Do you want to know why?

Because MAN created a book raising up MAN, while at the same time, invoked FEAR into people of their Creator. In other words, FEAR GOD, but LOVE JESUS. Now... how sick is that?

We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for God. None of this would exist. But yet and still, we are to be afraid of what loves us, and love a figment of man's imagination.

I will never have a bible in my house, because of all the killings. The "Spiritual books" I have and have read in the past never uttered a word of violence. All they speak of is: Peace, Harmony, Love, Balance, Serenity, Tranquility, the Universe, Loving the Self, Loving others...

Not one word of violence. And guess what? Once I read the, that was it. I didn't spend years walking around carrying it.

"Alone with the king in a small private chamber, Ehud pulled the sword from its hiding place and thrust it into the fat man's belly. He pushed it so deep into the man's bowels that the hilt of the sword disappeared under folds of flesh. The Bible says that 'the dirt came out'- dirt being a euphemism for excrement/feces."

Now exactly, what does this have to do with our existence? With Souls? With God?

And people sit back and wonder why this world is so bad and evil; why things are so bad. Well, I guess the world should be the way it is. Afterall, look at the number of people that believe a murderous book and has incorporated it as part of their lives.

If that book was so great, and people were following it as a NON-VIOLENT book, then the world would be a much better place to live. However, when you follow a book of violence, and mix God in there somewhere, then we are going to have the type of civilization we live in today.

It's hard for me to be brainwashed. It's also hard for me to believe something from 200 years ago, and embrace it as truth when I have the capability of finding the truth out for myself.

God has no place in such a violent book.

Good thread. Here's a question that I've not been able to find an answer to: If Cain was expelled from the Garden, how did he show up 15 years later with a wife? Where did she come from?

BTW, we know the Bible has been edited. If it's supposed to be God's word, why would anything be omitted? I'd be interested in reading the Book of Mary Magdeline. I bet she had an interesting view.

Sure, this miracle book has been edited. It also has a copyright and is sold in stores, so whose getting the money from the sales? God? ROFLMAO!!!

Yeah, sure He is. Physical money means the world to a Spirit God. I'm sure there's plenty He can but "out there" in the Universe. Like universe food, a few more stars, a new galaxy, a God car, an invisible house, etc.

Somebody is profiting off the brainwashing of people, simply put.
