It was rough and tumble. I have some mixed feelings and thoughts about it.

Joe,you are probably as close as anyone could get.
Samuel Clemens worked on a Mississippi riverboat as a young man, his job was to stand on the bow and throw out a lead-line to see how deep the water was. "twain" was 6 feet, minimum clearance for a riverboat. So he would call out "Mark Twain!"
Thanks. Sounds like my close could win me a cigar...well, maybe, a cigarillo.:)

Lee Ann,

You're in the ball-park. The Enola Gay was a B-29 Superfortress used in WW2, it was named after the mother of the pilot, Col. Paul Tibbetts. An interesting side-note, Col Bob Lewis, the co-pilot of the Enola Gay and the one who released the bomb on Hiroshima, would later write in his autobiography, "My God, what have we done?" Here's a little food for thought; the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki is probably the greatest deterant to nuclear war ever.

No-one could have forseen the death and destruction caused by these weapons.
