That discussion was two years ago. I contacted the RPD and they said,'we'll look into it.' and we never heard back from them. I called a day or two later and tried to get the watch commander on the phone, and they kept saying 'he's not in'. After a couple of days of that, I quit calling them. Tried the DA's office, and they said,'Contact the police. When they give you details, then we can step in.' The police never got back to us.
So, I called the State Attorney General's office, and They said,'We don't get involved in local disputes.' I asked then what useful purpose they served, and the bitch hung up on me.
Got the run-around from everyone.
Takin' the law into your own hands is NEVER a good idea, no matter how corrupt the local LEO's are. You also said right here, that you called the State AG, and got another run around. When <you> get jerked around like that, it's time to gather the proof somehow, in audio or video tapes, and take them to the HIGHEST authority necessary. You can't just give up! Some copies of the proof will be also be essential, because you won't know just who can be trusted.

Corruption, especially police corruption has to be stopped if for no other reason than just for the good of the community. I'm sure you're aware the police are in one of the best positions to kill someone, and claim self defense, or another hokie excuse. And they can get away with it unless one of their own (or someone) turns on them and testifies in court.

In the meantime, there are private detectives, maybe even top detectives, located right among NA's, who are willing to help provide the proof you need. I only mention them (private detectives) because they already have the surveillance gear, and the experience (depending) to get the job done.

The media may also be of some help, once things are underway, and some or all of the necessary proof is gathered. Important stories can bring $$$ and readers (or viewers), and every editor worth his or her salt, prays for a "breaking" news story.

The things mentioned above are NOT my idea, BH. These are only things I've picked up off the street by watching & listening.

I sent an email to Headline news. Took an hour to compose it, making sure not to use 'questionable' language. I thought I might get an email back from them, if only a 'thanks for the info' type form letter, but didn't even get that. I also emailed the FBI. I told them everything and went as far as to point out that the local Children's services might be running a 'baby ring' because once they take a child away, especially a baby, they never give the baby back,. no matter how many hoops they jump through. Example: My daughter's son Marshall was taken from her while she was still in the hospital. She did everything they told her to and more. After completing six different programs, she demanded the return of Marshall. The caseworker then told her that 'You have to go through drug rehab before you can get the child back.' Kathryn has never had any drug peroblems, no arrests, citations or run-ins with medical staff for any HINTT of drug use/abuse. They wanted her to enroll in rehab so they could point at it and say,'We can't trust you because of your drug use.' I told Kat to fight them, and she has for more than two years. The big problem is that the "attorney" she was assigned is a 'paycheck lawyer' he only takes the money they give him. He has yet to file any motions on her behalf. I told kat to sue both CPS And the attorney, but Kat can't find a lawyer who will take the case.
Never got a response from the FBI, and Kat is still fighting with CPS for Marshall.
We also tried to sue the 9-1-1 operator, but they said that those people are bullet-proof. I tried to get it filed as a Civil Rights violation because redding has a 'nationality' box on their 9-1-1 screen. With this information, 9-1-1 operators can 'weed out' certain groups of people to send law enforcement to. My son Jon said that the operator was giggling while jerking him around while he was trying to get them to send an ambulance. One of Jon's friend ran down to the RMC and had them send a bus to the apartment. Twenty minutes after the ambulance picked up Tina, the county ambulance finally showed up. Either way, it was too late for Tina. she had gone too liong without oxygen. She went into the hospital on March 25, was unhooked from life support on April 6, and died om April 10. IF they had sent the ambulance when requested, there was a better than average chance that Tina survived.
Nobody will take That case either.

You really like to revel in your own ignorance.

Well, since you ended with a question mark denoting that you really don't know if your answer is correct, I will educate you.....if that is even possible. Here goes nothing..........

Here is a good example of people forced to work under duress:

Wal-Mart said on Tuesday that it would pay at least $352 million, and possibly far more, to settle lawsuits across the country claiming that it forced employees to work off the clock.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/24/business/24...

BTW-A salary test is usually met if the employee is paid a fixed amount of money weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly, and there is no deduction from this fixed rate based on the quantity or quality of the work.

All I can say is that if all this stuff was happening to me, it'd be inspiration to fire me up even more. And I'd look for every means possible to achieve justice. Most important is NEVER give up,(that's not to say that YOU have), just a generalization.

Emails are convenient, but highly impersonal, and the addressee may likely be receiving
upwards of 1000 or more a day, many of which <may> be jokes, hoaxes or wild goose chases.

If no one in your area is willing to take a case, or look into your situation, or return your msgs, it's time to look elsewhere. San Francisco, Los Angeles, BIA, AIM, any advocate willing to listen, even if it calls for searching nationwide. I know for certain, there is SOMEONE who is willing to help. You gotta have some sort of documentation or proof, because without it, finding someone to help will be futile.

North & South Dakota, Oklahoma, and numerous other states have large Indian populations, and tho they're not of the same tribe as you, they still may be eager to help. I'd also visit Indian Casinos to speak to the highest one in authority. It's possible the owner(s) had to fight gov't bureaucracy, and may have a list of legal advocates.

The name brand product our company was a licensed distributor of in the upper midwest was Formica brand products. I worked in the companies "Topshop" crafting custom counter tops, custom bar tops, custom solid surface tops, etc..., I also worked as an Installer when the sub-contractors that installed them were too busy.

Now that we have that out on the table, you can tell me about this amway thing you keep bringing up, your dream of becoming a salesman crashed and burned there...and it's still sticks in your craw.

Maybe tell us about your glory days as a paper delivery boy and your invention to make your job easier, a sling shot made from plywood and rubber binders.

How about your job on topix working as a yes-man and cheerleader....which pays nothing but makes you feel validated and wanted...tho mostly by the dregs of the topix community.

Ya might just wanna do some homework before ya shoot your mouth off and make a bigger fool of yourself than you already have. The Formica Corp doesn't make or distribute counter tops.

FOR TRADE PROFESSIONALS, Our laminate range, Solid Surfacing and Sinks, Complementary products.

I said we were a Formica brand product distributor(warehouse facility and shipping)...that also had a custom shop for high-end customers that had custom built kitchen and cabinets(where I worked), and they also had an automated facility and cut-shop in southern MN where "preformed" counter tops were made and cut for and shipped to home improvement stores like Lowe's and Home depot.

SOOOOOO, let's hear about what you have done with yourself besides post incessantly on topix, or is that all you do?

You don't appear to have enough self esteem to say anything about your personal life or profession, you seem only to feel the need to tear down and criticize others as a ploy to raise your self-image and self-worth.

PS- Ignorance is bliss as is evidence by you beginning or ending 90% or more of you posts with "LOL", you are soooo predictable.

Your ignorance and stupidity begs the question "How stupid are you?".

Einstein studied ignorance and stupidity and came up with the answer to that fundamental question we have all contemplated when dealing with idiots like you......

.....and the answer is........Stupidity has no limits.

BH, I found this link on Google, by keying in "Native American Advocacy groups":

http://www.calindian.org/web-links/california...

There were hundreds of links, mostly unrelated to your situation, but probably worth looking into some of them anyway.

I've also just sent an email to the AIM Grand Council and will keep ya posted on any results.
A friend of mine works at Channel 23 here in town, and will contact him to see if his station has any interest in checking out your extreme discrimination problems.

If so, viable proof will be crucial.

All good information, Bob. Kathryn went to the local tribe and begged for assistance. They said that they only represent their own. She then asked them for assistance in housing. Kat filed all the paperwork, but each time, they lost her applications. She asked around and other Natives told her that they do that all the time.
I'm on the clock with Tina's case. I'm not sure but I think that a wrongful death suit has a time limit of three years. It's been two already. I called Northern California Indian legal services and they said that they didn't do child welfare, or cases that involved death. I often wondered what was left. I also tried to get in touch with Dennis Banks, but couldn't find a contact number, and AIM is more interested in helping illegal aliens these days.
Again, Thanks.

Period.
They'd have to show just cause to revoke a franchise. At the very least, reasonable cause. I get all the provisos this and provisos that stuff but if a franchisee held a personal view that went public then that would be hard to prove just or reasonable, no?

I'm thinking about the Hellfire Baptist preacher franchisee, embarrassing to the brand?

The cross dressing, karaoke singing franchisee, embarrassing to the brand?

The UFO, doomsday prepping franchisee, embarrassing to the brand?

Does it begin and end with race?

In the case of Sterling, didn't he embarrass himself?
