Manana is one of my favorite Buffett tunes.
Was going to go see him again recently but I just didnt feel like parting with $300 for 2 tickets.

Finally got to see him last summer in Cincinnati.

The concert was great, but the most fun was watching my girlfriend who really had no idea just what wide range of ... characters make up parrot head nation.

<quoted text>Good stuff. Still have the Bose speakers I bought used after I left home. Mated to an Onkyo one piece that is a DVD player amp, control amp, and tuner. Got that off eBay when most hadn't heard of it. Still miss the old days when dad would get the Christmas lps out and we play them pops scratches and all. Being a child of the 80s I remember thinking how great digital was. Like what is on tv now what good is technology with piss poor quality.
Which Bose? I had some 301s back in the day to complement the JBLs - course this was before marriage and family changed priorities. I've always thought of the 901s as the pinnacle. Someday......

Yikes! That ain't happenin', sorry Jimmy. I can be a Parrothead from home.

Shame too, cos (as you know) he puts on a really fun show - good times.

Last show I saw was Charlie Daniels, a couple years ago, believe it was $35 minimum donation. Came up to a little town near here to play a benefit for the local VFD. Couldn't have been 2000 people, but they played like it was a stadium show. Now there's a man.

No, can't get your links, but found the song.

Great cover of an old JJ Cale tune - >quite< a bit more going on than in the original. Cale was the epitome of stripped-down sound.

Burlington, IA was only an hour from where we lived in Illinois. They have a Steamboat Days festival that runs about five days, with musical acts every night. We saw quite a few shows there (mostly country), the most memorable for me being ZZ Top and Zac Brown. They ran around $35 a ticket when we left.

Get down with Dan.(I believe the addition of the 3 female back-up singers makes SD complete).

Its nice t see we can be on the same page. Have not seen Charlie yet, just keep missing him on my calender. Last year my truck broke down on my way to see ZZ Top, boy was I pissed off. The Jimmy who was playing dives in Key West and New Orleans would not have been able to go see the Jimmy of today.I'm with you, a CD Parrothead. Same prices for the Eagles who I really wanted to see. Its not like you can't afford it but I can'r justify spending that kind of $$$ to myself.Last show I saw was a couple of years ago too. Alan Jackson with Zac Brown opening up for him.

Now you're talking. For $35 I would see alot more shows. Did you like Zac Brown? I thought they were great. Still waiting to see ZZ Top . I was one unhappy guy when I missed the show due to mechanical failure of my truck.
