Speaking of a news-flash our very productive hhs sec Sebelius thinks we need to create a new government job. This one will be called 'chief risk officer' I'm sure this person won't answer to anything or anyone but be paid well. Can't make this up.

Sometimes you're the witch; sometimes you're they hunt. When you find yourself the witch, call the IG and sick them on the contractors.

Since IG reports never come back with empty pages we'll hang failure on them. In matters of management, the Secretary is the authority responsible for taking action after the very risks that appear to still be a mystery to her were clearly spelled out in the March, 2013 program review by McKinsey & Co.

The shear audacity of a manager that can say out of one side of her mouth that she has no idea what she spent on the largest new social program since the new deal and out the other say she is competent and capable of correcting the ship she wrecked ascends to new levels of assumed gullibility.

We really must be the new fools born every day.
Shame on us all.

Yep. And you have to love how the rules keep changing as the days go by depending on what is good for the administration.

Wow it's slow in here. I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Mine was wonderful. Does every grandparent think their grandchild is the most beautiful, smart and charming person they ever knew?
Looks like there's room for me to write what I've been thinking about. Edward Snowden. Is he a traitor or a whistleblower or a hero? I'm not sure. I wonder sometimes how much privacy we really need and why. It seems to me privacy sometimes encourages crime. How else does Castro conceal three girls for over ten years in his house in Cleveland and abuse them? Neighbors want to respect privacy.
I just finished reading the "Book Thief" In Nazi Germany it was impossible to have privacy. That's why it was really hard to hide a jewish friend. So I'm not sure what privacy does except protect people who commit crimes, but then some crimes need to be committed.
I know there seems to be no connection, but it's how my mind works, how I problem solve.

Yes indeed. My sister's daughter is also our parent's pride and joy. I too have thought hard on Snowden. In a perfect world I'd like to think he should have followed a chain of command and been able to whistle blow. But we are in an administration that has charged more (including him) with espionage more than any other President. Putting politics aside what really got my attention was a reporter by the name of Audrey Hudson (Washington Times) She was outspoken on the Bush admin and the patriot act saying it was rushed and not thought out. While not charged with espionage the Obama admin has targeted her like never before. Her home was broken into and fed agents have harassed her. Her main crime? Reporting that the fed air marshall program went before congress and lied. Sad to see this in this nation.

DAYTON — Police arrested 34-year old Tracy Waters yesterday morning after she allegedly set fire to her husband Dave’s 2013 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab in a rage over her Christmas gifts.

“He gave me a slow-cooker and these red nylon crotchless panties with a push-up bra,” Mrs. Waters told police.

“The bra had tassels for ****'s sake. Tassels.”

Police have charged Mrs. Waters with arson, assault with a weapon (“a 4-gallon ceramic crock pot with corn-on-the-cob pattern”) and using foul language in public.

Mr. Waters told the Dayton Daily News that he was excited about his gifts for his wife and doesn’t understand why she became angry and turned violent.

“Good food, good lovin’, and a good truck were all I wanted for Christmas,” said the 37-year-old warehouse worker sporting a swollen-shut right eye....

Police and fire responded to a duplex in the city’s southeast after neighbors called emergency saying there was a vehicle on fire and a woman was observed throwing armfuls of what appeared to be men’s clothing onto the flames.

I also didnt know what to think of Snowden. He really didnt reveal anything that I didnt believe was going on anyway. I've even held myself in check on topix in saying things about our POTUS that might trigger reaction. And I'ts never bothered me that some gov agency might be listening in on a phone conversation (which they dont do) or looking for keywords, or who I'm calling. I guess the fear would betaking it to another level.

To continue on Snowden, i can see why he bailed. There was no way he was gonna get a fair trial. I think now though, he's gone to far in offering secrets to other countries for asylum.

I see congress is going to let 55 tax breaks expire at the end of the year.

I guess the good news is we KNOW Obama will veto them, because he promised not to raise taxes on the middle class and we all know how good his word is right?

Yes, none of us has to worry about expired tax cuts.....

Thank heavens..........
