Some of us were taught as children that if someone feels their spiel has to include blatant lies, there must be something queer in their pitch.

Uh huh. Tell it to the Dixie Chicks.

<quoted text>Way back before Obama was inaugurated for the first time one of his daughters said, "he'd better do a good job because he's going to be the 1st African American president" or something to that effect.
That little girl unknowingly spoke words of great warning and wisdom which unfortunately weren't heeded and haven't panned out. He hasn't done a good job. He has failed on all fronts and he has become something of a joke. Worldwide and at the local rodeo.
You guys should have been more patient about putting a black dude in there just for the sake of getting a black dude in there and found one with qualifications and a track record of leadership skills. Stupid move, imo. But it's all water under the bridge now.
We's gots what we's gots.
And newsflash to Obama and Co. It's not his skin color.
It's the thinness of his skin and his complete and utter failure to do the job.
Shew! are these grapes sour......

Hey, here's a REAL test. Republicans write to their Congressman and tell them to actually work together to, wait for it....govern! Then we can really see if this President a failure and not just fated to hold office with the most ineffectual and obstructionist Congress in US history.

I mean, seriously - who on God's green earth is remotely unclear about who/what "violent extremism" refers to? Do you need a constant reminder?
Yer partially right I guess, Wilmer. But there's a big difference between a "constant reminder", and a US President who refuses to call something by it's real name, for political (or religious) reasons.

I might agree with you IF I hadn't had a very similar conversation with D.S. Higgins (and maybe others) who did not think Bush was sufficiently precise about using 'real names'.

<quoted text>They're all over the 'net, bob. In addition to individual personal accounts, there are at least 4 documentaries which point out the glaring inconsistencies in the 'official story. They give actual physical evidence of explosives found around all the 'crash' sites,(not to mention video of the concurrent implosion of auxiliary buildings which were nowhere near the Twin Towers) They document the immediate export of all the steel from said towers to China for 'recycling', rather than it having been processed, as any and every other retrievable piece of structural material is after such an event, as EVIDENCE in a possible crime scene. These items alone are enough to at least make a sane and rational person QUESTION the validity of that 'official story'.
Lots of people sang after the fact. At least 11 people who did question that official story, and a few who came forward to PUBLICLY refute it, in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, have since disappeared or inexplicably died - and there are thousands of experts in demolition, professors of physics, architects, and first-hand witnesses to the collapse of the WTC, who are STILL trying to illuminate the truth - but those of us who refuse to believe our government (since it's composed of knights in shining armor and those with the highest moral principles available to humanity) could POSSIBLY have engaged in such a conspiracy, are quite content to agree that it was 'them damn Muslims' working alone. Safer that way. As for swinging from the rafters, obviously that just doesn't happen to Presidents, or their accomplices. Obama is still in the White House too, and not mounted on a wall plaque in the Oval Office, next to a taxidermied Hillary. That should tell you something.
I have no problem believing that "Bush and Co" had no problem with eliminating thousands of American citizens - they certainly had no problem eliminating thousands of military personnel, or tens of thousands of foreign civilians, over the course of their 8 years. They LOVED collateral damage - it's very profitable to create, and makes it appear that the perpetrators are keeping America safe and free...to useful idiots who would rather believe that, than the alternative.
And, Silverstein got his dirty blood money from Insurance co. for the Asbestos laden-Skyscrapers -that he wanted it to be demolished as local govt Asbestos inspectors will fine him for every day it stands not abated! And I wonder if this co-inside coincidently to 9/11 , and he got his dirty insurance payouts . It seems those radical gestapos in govt took care of this with one stone on multiple targets . More like million of Civilians! Evil it is.

Not off the top of my head. It may have been a slightly different context - referring to Islam as a religion of peace or something like that.

Of course it swings both ways but the degree with which this president avoids the obvious word choices is over the top and constant. His entire administration does it. I've lost count how many time the appropriate words to have used were "terrorism" or "Islamic extremists" etc. and cushioned, sugar coated choices were made instead.
Ft Hood was a "workplace incident" Really?

Now WHY he does it, I can only hazard a guess and no, it's not because he's some secret double agent muslim plant over here serving Allah (personally I think he's more agnostic or atheisic) but he intentionally does it and everyone knows he does it and the fact that you want to minimize what has been a national conversation the last 5 years, doesn't automatically make it insignifigant whining.
The guy has a clear aversion to calling a spade a flipping spade, and yes it's drives some of us nuts.

NO. I'm not writing my congressman to tell them to work with this president. There is no commonality between parties to speak of (which btw is the reason he never works with the House and only with the Senate) and yes, it's your fault for putting in the furthest left from center candidate you could find and I've told you that. What did you expect? Acquiescence?
If you can spare a few minutes, go dig around and find out how many times Obama has skipped over Congress entirely and free-lanced. His disdain for the practice of unilateral governing is a thing of the past. Along with golf, it's his new hobby. Now he just does whatever he wants.

And mostly, what he wants is to continue, and expand, Bush-era policy.
