Marilyn Young, historian

The U.S. can destroy Iraq's highways, but not build its own; create the conditions for epidemic in Iraq, but not offer health care to millions of Americans. It can excoriate Iraqi treatment of the Kurdish minority, but not deal with domestic race relations; create homelessness abroad but not solve it here; keep a half million troops drug free as part of a war, but refuse to fund the treatment of millions of drug addicts at home.... We shall lose the war after we have won it.

Legally the sanctions [against Iraq by U.S.] have been labeled genocide, a war crime, and a crime against humanity under international law.

More than one million Iraqis have died—567,000 of them children—as a direct consequence of USA economic sanctions... As many as 12 percent of the children surveyed in Baghdad are wasted, 28 percent stunted and 29 percent underweight.

Former U.N weapons inspector Scott Ritter, Boston, 2001, about planned US war on Iraq
The First Casualty. editorial

The national security of the United States of America has been hijacked by a handful of neoconservatives who are using their position of authority to pursue their own ideologically driven political ambitions, and the day we go to war for that reason is the day that we have failed collectively as a nation.

I had said in one of my posts that I think they bit on the name Zimmerman before they did their homework to find out his background. Guy with a gun and on neighborhood watch must be right wing "crazy ass cracker". Well SURPRISE! I'll bet they were beside themselves when it came out that he wasn't what they thought he was.
That was "crazy ass cracka" not "crazy ass cracker".

According to world renowned language specialist, Rachel Jeantel:

Rachel Jeantel, the prosecution’s star witness in the George Zimmerman trial, finally ended speculation over what Trayvon Martin meant when he called Zimmerman a “creepy-ass cracka.”

Jeantel, the last person to speak to Martin before he was killed in Feb. 2012, told Piers Morgan Monday night that “cracka” means cop.

And, according to the 13th definition of the word on Urban Dictionary, it does indeed:”Stating a police officer is mostly used by the inner city youths.”

She first confirmed the correct spelling of it for Morgan, and then explained a “cracka” is “a person who act like they’re a police, who, like a security guard who acting like — that’s what I said to them. Trayvon said creepy ass cracka.”

http://www.bizpacreview.com/2013/07/16/we-wer...

Apparently, Travon knew he was about to assault either a cop or a security guard... not a very bright thing to do.

Note to Trayvon's parents: Teach your remaining son that police ALWAYS carry weapons and that security guards may carry them. Attacking either is not a wise choice, and can lead to a very negative conclusion.

You didn't answer the question. Maybe you didn't recognize it as a question because I used a period instead of a question mark. I'll give you another chance.

When did an unprovoked assault on another become acceptable, safe and legal behaviour?
