Sound familiar?
I asked you a question. Your morals should not be determined by what the state says is legal.

<quoted text>Oh for pete sake, give it a rest. We've already established long ago that no one would have denied an abortion to someone with an ectopic pregnancy, since the fetus would not live no matter what. Any other threat to a mother's life would have been dealt with by delivering the baby early with hopes of saving it but knowing they might not. For some reason you want to beat this drum over and over. You don't need to feel bad if you decided to have an ectopic pregnancy removed, but you keep trying to prove yourself.
Are you telling me to shut up, Lis?

Ectopic pregnancy is hardly the only sort that results in dead moms. There are many conditions which can render a pregnant woman dead unless she aborts...and in countries where it is illegal, they routinely have that outcome. The United States has the third highest rate of maternal mortality in all the industrialized nations as it is...I would greatly prefer that statistic could be made more favorable to pregnant women here. I suppose we don't agree on that either?

Other than that, "we" all know how much joy you yourself derive from beating dead horses...

As far as being 'off topic', I believe this topic has been at the top of the list for most of the day.
Of course, I suppose we could go back to Obama-bashing, if that would make you feel better...
Obama is an ass, and I wish he had never been a candidate for President, considering the way his Presidency has turned out.
There you go.

Not if the Supreme Court decided that you did not fall into the proper category. That would change the law. That is what they did with Roe v Wade.
'They' determined with RvW that women have the right to make medical choices about our pregnancies, unencumbered by the opinions of the mailman, the clergy, our families, or you. And you've been beating your heels against the floor ever since.

Wahhhh.

I really haven't been beating my heels. I don't condone killing innocents. You believe you have the moral authority to determine a person's worth by their age and inconvenience factor.

Some people feel they can determine a person's value by how they adhere to the tenets of the Prophet. They feel justified in removing an Infidel's head from his shoulders. You are no different. You have determined that a baby is an inconvenient blob and deserves to be hacked to bits.

But hey, no worries. It's all legal.

You deserve each other.

Pern, I do indeed believe I have the moral authority to decide for myself who or what may use my body for its survival.

I also have the authority to make my own medical decisions, even when I am pregnant.

As far as my abortion having been done for 'convenience' yeah - I found it much more convenient to live than to die. So did my subsequently born kids. Don't expect me to feel guilt, shame, or remorse about that, regardless of how you choose to spin my choice.

Thanks.

I've noted of late words no longer mean much. For example the President came out and called an nba player that happens to be homosexual "courageous". Not by a long shot. I know this isn't the forum for it but to my mind its right out of the bible stated quite well in Isaiah 5:20

Likely in a truck-stop restroom...but I prefer not to spend any time considering what he's getting up to in there.

No doubt in my mind the word you hate will outlast this nation as it turns to dust. As many nations before it.

Seems neither does logic or reason. There is no higher authority than the state. Man is god.

I watched the video of the Catholic priest having his head sawn off. Pretty disturbing what happens when people allow evil to rule their decisions. Some here would have cheered the crowd on and declared it was the crowd's right to do so because it's legal under Sharia law.

If there is no higher authority than man any man's life may be forfeit to the reign of convenience and mob rule.

Judgment comes. While I understand why it still grieves my heart and scares me beyond measure.

No doubt in my mind that you use the word 'hate' FAR more often than I do.

All nations die. All men too. It's the natural order of things.

This one isn't Dead by a long shot....and if you'd quit bellyaching about stuff you don't like, and trying to convince yourself that it's a lost cause, while concentrating on what you can actually change, and working toward that goal, you'll be a much happier fella.

Just a thought.

We have two choices: live in love, or live in fear.

What have you done, that you fear God's judgment?

Never mind - that's between you and God.
