It's a pdf file so I won't link it, but "Milliman Medical Index" will getcha there.
That's still 8000 a year, not chicken feed. I pay that much individually, but I'm old (yet not old enough for Medicare)I guess that's all I can manage right now is how this effects me and mine. It's not that I don't care about the others it's just that the info put out there I believe is meant to confuse. Noone really wants the "smoke" to clear. Not yet.

My guess is that the cuts will hit county/city health departments and the like that serve the growing number of people who fall into the cracks between middle class and the very poor.
But aren't those the people that obamacare aims to help? If everyone has insurance through Obamacare it's understood those are not necessarily people who qualify for medicaid. Shouldn't they be able to get vaccinations under Obamacare? Isn't the Obamacare supposed to eliminate the county clinics and the ER visits etc etc? If not what is it supposed to help? I'm not trying to be difficult, I am truly confused what that 1.5 trillion program is supposed to do besides provide a national healthcare database and force insurance companies to ignore preexisting conditions.

The goal is to kill private insurance, in short control.

The help under Obamacare comes next year - the cuts come in the next several months.

Obamacare is intended to cut down on ER visits as a source of what most of us consider primary care. It should also reduce the amount of medical care county/city health departments have to deliver - but I don't know that it will eliminate all functions (and they have other functions).

Hm. Okay. Now as for the cuts that are supposed to occur in the next few months. At best they are a gross exaggeration. At worst a total fabrication. In reality there are no real cuts. Sequestration will prevent a huge growth in spending and cause some minor belt tightening. I'm for it.

And the rest of that story is how many companies have been granted waivers to Obamacare so they dont have to provide the insurance for their employees. And how many couples dont work for companies that employ over 50 people. And how many companies are reincorporating to avoid the 50 employee mark, and how many employers are dropping fulltime employees to 29 hour work weeks to avoid paying HC..........

I will add though that I hear the gov is going to pick up some that tab through subsidies and tax breaks..........I know there is more info to come out, but I also know of the skyrocketing costs of HI.........Again just a guess but I imagine the big increase is going to be in 2014..........

I know you moved, did you move to Washington, DC? That's the only place that I know of where they call it a "spending cut", when they are actually spending more than in the previous year.

"Baseline Budgeting", the religion of DC, and why we never see any "REAL" spending cuts.

Huh?

Why do I think you and I have widely different views on who the 'low information voters' are?

The loud belly-aching I hear about 'low information voters' from some sources lately just sounds like sore losers searching desperately for somebody to blame.

I suppose you could go back to Sept/Oct and find all those pre-celebrating a landslide victory for the RNC across the board for a start....

I suppose it's beyond your scope of understanding to think that people aren't sore losers for that long. It is beyond you to look at how strange the actions of this president are. Example would be charging people for meetings with him. Another is his swearing he'd have transparency and he is so opaque. I suppose it will take a history book ten years from now to see any truth about this president. In the present you are absolutely myopic. I can accept that, but you need to realize that people's criticism of Barack Obama is out of real concern. Romney (and it took a few seconds to remember his name) is not even a blip on "my" radar screen.

Yes and here in the present is where we live. Gas is now almost 80 cents more than it was in Nov here and the main reason I'm starting a new job next week. I will bring home just a bit less but take what has been a 104 mile round trip to work and now be doing less than 40 so its a win. I also see no reason to better myself right now as so called leadership has a war on success.

There is NO desperation about it. Without the young people who don't follow politics and couldn't name pictures of the vice president, house speaker, and many more, and without the minority vote, also low info voters, Obama goes back to Chicago.

And I know for certain both you and HipGnosis are well aware of this block of voters who got Barry reelected.
