I supported bush on some things (Afghanistan) anbd not others (Iraq). However, that was not addressed to you, it was only for demonstrative purposes. I have no problems with bush's actions on 9-11 and I have no problem thus far with Obama's actions at the beginning of Benghazi.
The purpose of my post was to demonstrate how hypocritical some posters in here are because while they defend bush for his actions on 9-11 they spend an inordinate amount of time attacking Obama.
I said a long time back that I welcomed an investigation and would consider what it said. The rest of this is all BS.
Are you sure?

In his sharpest critique yet of the nation’s highest-rated cable news channel, President Obama said in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine that Fox News promoted a point of view that was “destructive” to the growth of the United States.

What's bothering you, okb? The fact that there are 450,000+- African Americans in prison or that I dared mention WE'RE paying for them?
The differences between those IN and those OUT are scant. Those in the pen don't have their freedom, they aren't looking for work and they don't have to sit by the mailbox waiting for their check. The money to support them goes directly to the facility holding them.
3 meals, housing and free medical care. How is that NOT being supported by the government aka my tax dollars aka WELFARE.
They're "faring well."
Now, eat your collard greens and hush up.
I have no problem with criminals doing their time in prison and I have no problem supporting that policy with my tax dollars.

I do have a problem with those that would suggest it is welfare while at the same time they complain about people on welfare. It costs $40K or more per year to house prisoners and keep them segregated from society. It is much less expensive to support those on public assistance.

One is punative and the other is not.

It wasn't innuendo. You clearly don't know the meaning of the word. I was stating exactly what the case is. Did you know there are more black men in prison now than were enslaved in 1850?

Maybe your party should do something about that.
You have their vote. What's the problem?

Want to compare audience size for proof?
What a joke. You guys spend much time saying size doesn't matter and now it does? Can't have it both ways. This is why I will never be on the left. Something that is wrong, like being an advocate for murder like this guy is wrong even if not one person listens. Something that is right is right period. Thanks but no thanks I don't think your numbers mean much when real hate speech is on our airwaves.

Tell you what, lets compile a list of people that say vile things on the air by left and right. Then we can compare their audience size and we will jointly declare which party is the party of hate and intolerance.
Deal?
I mean we all know it happens on both sides and a few in here (very few) condemn it regardless of which side it occurs on.
So which side is the worst based on their veiwers that listen to it?
Okay. That sounds like fun.
Let's start off with one of my personal favorites.

"I have to tell you, you know, it's part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama's speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often."
===

Btw, lopping off the heads of the Tea Party members is just shock talk. It brought back unfortunate memories of seeing Nick Bergs methodically head sawn off. And of course, just south of the border some of our Mexican neighbors have entered into the beheading world which will undoubedly ooze into this country at some point but who knows maybe eventually I'll grow numb to it.

In 2008 there were 2.8 million prisoners. I suspect the largest portion of them were white.

How much money could we save if we reduced our prison population to the same rate per 100,000 person as communist China or Cuba?

What about to the average rate of socialist Europe?

What does it say about America the land of democracy and where everyone can be a millionaire when we lock so many people up that we lead the rest of the world by far in incarceration rates?

And we still have the most dangerous society to live in compared to other nations with like economies.

I think FOX and Clear Channel Communications are just as destructive as those that color news events/reality to the other way.

People who listen primarilly to one or the other (left or right) are pretty much goofballs and a 15 minute conversation with either pretty much proves it.

I am not one of those guys. I have stated several times that FOX news is obviously the station of choice for Republcans who need someone to tell them what to think AND that it proves less of those on the left need to be told.

Same thing with Clear Channel Communications as opposed to Air America.

Only the ones who can vote for a democrat.

Thats its bs? I would bet if Obama thought he could get away with it he would shut down foxnews right now. I thank God,(the one that the dnc in Charlotte, Nc, last Aug showed nothing but disdain for) it has not happened here. I have friends from other parts of the world where our freedoms don't exist.

I think at this stage Chris it's safe to assume that the liberal party has forgone the pretense of being the party of tolerance. They are the FORWARD party, dubbed as such by none other than our Commander in Chief. And if that doesn't make your antennae twitch, it should.
The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. "Forward!" reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.
There have been at least two radical-left publications named "Vorwaerts" ( German for "Forward"). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky. It still publishes as the organ of Germany's SDP, though that party has changed considerably since World War II. Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.
Lenin founded the publication "Vpered" (the Russian word for "forward") in 1905. Soviet propaganda film-maker Dziga Vertov made a documentary whose title is sometimes translated as "Forward, Soviet".
Then again, maybe it's all a coinincidence and FORWARD is just a word that jumped into Obama's head.
And maybe pigs can fly.
I think that's exactly why this billboard upset the left so much...

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/07/13/io...

it's much too close to he truth.

So this data goes to show the smarter and better educated one is the better chance they have voting correctly.
Gives new meaning to dumbed down republican...
The data is meaningless unless you know how those individuals vote... states don't cast votes. Non college educated folks vastly outnumber college grads, so "takers" votes could easily outnumber the votes of the college educated in many states.

Keep trying.
