It used to be Willie but he's disappeared. Don't get me wrong I got mad at him but at least he tried to answer questions.
WRONG! We learned from how stupid Repubicans look by defending things when they did not have the facts. That is almost as bad, ALMOST, as saying Ambassadors were sexually assaulted before or immidiately after they died.

Now that person looked.......

See what I mean. Excellent example of why I support an investigation to find out the truth.

I think it is called compromise, I thought that is what Obama wanted.
What have you, Bobin or the Republican Party offered that shows you are worthy of trust?

Justcaught Bobin putting words in my mouth and they don't hunt Doe's in Virginia.

<quoted text>What are you saying, we're not supposed to have any opinions at all anymore? I'm sorry, I missed her sainthood coronation. In my opinion she was asinine and a flake and much more. I also think she was shrewd and calculating, and provided for her family fabulously well. Time proves she milked her fans for every dollar she could get. She had absolutely no interest in running for President, and that ain't opinion, her "campaign" proved that. She was still milking the cow. Good for her, she did very, very well with her 15 minutes. What in the world could you be complaining about?
Huuuuuh? You really wanna go from unnecessarily demeaning personal attacks to "no opinions at all"?

Isn't it remotely possible that these talking heads on major cable news shows, could've disagreed with her point by point without denigrating her and her kids, especially the little guy with Downs Syndrome? Now her Downs child may or may not have been skewered by the talking heads, but I recall some attacks coming from somewhere on the left.

And you'll hafta remind me of when the counterparts on the right intentionally tried to destroy a female running for public office with the same vitriole that Palin endured.

IINM, Michelle Bachmann was another victim of leftwing verbal lynching.

You are right. the goveernors are creating jobs and balancing budgets. There is nothing to blame Obama for because obviously those governors that can not create jobs like Walker and Christy are at fault.

<quoted text>Despicable. Does that really need to be said? I'll lay dollars to donuts you "missed" that he was soundly criticized by right and left equally. But am I "outraged" by the crap spewed by a shock comedian known for outrageous statements? Should we get "outraged" every time a comedian shoots off his mouth? My "outrage" account is more valuable than that. What is a shock comedian's bread and butter? Answer: Reaction, which brings notoriety, which translates to money in the bank. The best weapon is to ignore. Why should we feed his ego and bank account? Shock comedians go there because they don't have any actual material. I'm not going to feed him, but your "outrage" does.
Do you think it harmed her professionally? Heck, it probably resulted in more book sales and donations to her PAC. Surely you've heard the old show-biz adage, "No such thing as bad press". Palin is (was) all about show-biz.
Don't even give him the benefit of naming him, but still - to present this fringe comedian as representative of "liberals" is just more feed for his ego. Use your head. Be a little more discriminating with your "outrage" quota.
Unless of course it feeds a need.....
She crie and whied about this before. I told her that I was pretty sure you had joined in on the blanket statement condemning such speech (hate speech) regardless of the source.

I also told her for some reason that we had problems getting those from the right from joining in.

Since I have been reminding her of some of the things those on the right have done on this very thread. I get so tired of this fake outrage.

Problem with that is it wasn't just some shock jock. Oh he may be the one who called her the C word. But Palin was routinely described on numerous cable news outlets and in the MSM, as everything from "asinine" to "yoyo".
Those same people took innocently benign comments such as the one about seeing Russia on a clear day, and made her into some kinda clueless, whacked-out bimbo.
Sorry Bob, when she said she saw Russia on a clear day she admitted to being an asinine yoyo bimbo. Not to mention dishonest.

If I said I stood on the shore of Key West and saw the beaches of Cuba I can only imagine what you and Bobin would say.

Hey Bad Bob. I'm getting to like O'reilly better. I didn't know he was funny. he's talking about Immelt being rewarded for being Obama's attack dog. O'reilly said as a reward he gets to go to the whitehouse, gets to eat canapes, get his picture taken. Of course he didn't pay any taxes in 2010 either. Wonder why Romney didn't bring that up.
What am I saying you're probably watching as I type.
Yes I did see that segment. All activities (except emergencies) cease here at 5PM to catch BillO. He's starting to take more time off, replaced by Laura Ingraham, Juan Williams, Mike Huckabee, and a few others, I think Bob Beckel filled in once.

O'Reilly is indeed humorous. Couple years ago the Bold-Fresh Tour featured him and Glenn Beck. Now it's him and Dennis Miller, and they play to mostly sold-out venues nationally. They often hafta add a matinee showing due to the main ones sold out months in advance.

I didn't know he had a good sense of humor until seeing him on talks shows such as Leno, Letterman, and The View. He's a lot quicker with comebacks, than one would expect from a normally serious analyst.

Also, many don't realize he's 6'4", and towers above everyone else.
I think Conan is 6'3", but has not invited Bill to his show.

I don't think there's any comparison between a fringe comedian with an obscure TV show calling a public figure a twat in the course of an otherwise obscure routine, and an entertainer who just about sets the Republican agenda calling a private citizen a slut on an extremely popular national radio show. They're both despicable asses, but the fringe guy's national notoriety >came< from the attention poured on him from those "Outraged". That's the only part that's funny.
Lets not forget DS mispronouncing her name and not a word from LisW or Roberta.

<Add to 1st paragraph above>

Meant to say he's taking more time off which is getting fairly irritating. I could see it when he had both his nightly radio, and his TV show. But he got off the radio a year or so ago, and I don't wanna tune in to see Laura Ingraham or Juan Williams.

<quoted text>I would swear to God that there were no liberal comments on these things except maybe to say what you just did, "it's just Joe being Joe" and no the chains was not what I was thinking of but Biden is sly too and you know his hidden agenda was to portray conservatives as racist. What I was talking about was Biden saying that Obama was one of the nice clean ones. And Biden saying if you go into a 7-11 you'll always see a middle eastern. I'm not quoting but that's the gist.
And the "gist" is all that matters, ain't it? At least my criticisms are factually accurate. "Gist" is all you need, in fact all you want.

BTW, it was Indians, not "Middle-easterns". But that doesn't matter for the "gist", does it? I don't know where you've been living but it's a true statement. Same way with motels. What in the world did Conservative-Land find to be "outraged" about that?
lisw wrote:
<quoted text>I'm surprised at you. I 'thought" that you thought money wasn't everything. Do you resent Palin for making some money. You don't think resigning was to protect her family? She was absolutely flagellated from rape jokes about her daughter to criticsim for having a baby she knew had down's syndrome.
You accept these things and always find some excuse as to why it's okay.
And now, all the excuses about this massive cover-up. go ahead give me all the excuses for obama. How we need to wait and let the info come out. It's not goig to come out, not if Obama has anything to say about it. Like I said I'm not outraged, I'm in shock at how dumbed down liberals really are.
I accept these things now, do I? I just said the one thing was despicable, but that wasn't good enough for you because I won't be "outraged" enough. Listen, kid, you got plenty enough rage for both of us. I tend to enjoy life.

You can't help yourself with your vacuous and self-serving assumptions. You just made a fool of yourself assuming that I was deficient somehow because I'd never lived in a city, whatever the hell that was supposed to mean. Then you went straight to falsely assigning me a statement that I never said. Now you've dived right back in again with two paragraphs assuming thoughts and feelings NOT expressed by myself.

But in those final two paragraphs we finally get to your real agenda. You wonder why people don't engage your facile questions? Because you're not in the least interested in their answers so much as want a straight-man to bounce off your cereal-box psychoanalysis, and "nasty leeberal" routine. You're congenitally unable to have have a dialogue without inserting your personal chastisements, self-righteous disappointments, and faux outrage. I think you got issues, lady, but you ain't workin''em out on me. You ain't my mother and we ain't married, so find someone else to play Odd Couple with.

The circle will be along shortly to stroke your wounded ego. Good Night Irene.

1the problem with Repubicans is that they have no problem "stretching" the truth if facts don't work. I think it should be investigated and if it is not the truth the guy should be arrested for false advertising.

If not President Bush, who do you think it was that had enough juice to have Secretary of State Powell present the information supporting President Bush's reasons?
