I think that my title pretty much explains its self. I and many others full time and contracts alike think that it is absoulutly wrong how honda treats and uses its contract associates. I mean some of these induviduals have givin more then 60 months of there life to this company, and still do you think there is any chance of hire nope nothing more than cheap labour and it needs to stop. HCM wonders why people get pissed I'll tell you one example last raise 10 big cents you tell all the associates attending the meeting how great they have done so far in the launch of the new model. Now stop there lets face it contracts were a part of that too now you completly spit in the face of all the contracts by not giving them that 10 cents pathetic. Its big companies like HCM that choose to to use this cheap labour method that keep the economy slowing, think about it if all the contracts had full time jobs i bet half would buy new cars houses renovate there homes ect stimulating our own economy. Another question was it a part of Mr Hondas great philosophy to hire contracts have them work for up to 60 months of there life no chance of full time no benifits for there families and expect everyone to be happy about that. If you cannot hire full time at least make it better for the cheap labour workers called contracts. I mean if a person has work more then 20 months chanches are they dont plan on leaving so give them some benifits for the fucking families. I know of some contacts whos kids are dying of cancer and they still wont break down and give them benifits.Well I will stop here for now but trust me i could go on all day about this and so will many other just watch and see. Take contracts seriously or we wont take honda seriously. Remember power in numbers and the numbers are getting higher.

I'm with you all the way Brother. Iv been a contract there since 2007 NO PAY RAISE,NO BENEFITS,NO FUTURE! How do they expect quality when we "WORK FOR $10 AN HOUR LESS THEN PERMANENT ASSOCIATES" then have to listen to the full timers bitch about not having enough holidays or having to work a Saturday or not having all the benefits they use to have. Uhh hello we don't have any Benefits, 5 non paid holidays a year if you take all 5 they wont hire you on for another contract(permanent associates have 25+ paid holidays a year) we have no say on if we don't want to work a Saturday if we don't show up for that Saturday WE LOSE ARE JOB!Im so fed up with this place. I should of took up the offer at Toyota or Ford at least id be able to provide for my family and be building a better product. HIRE CONTRACTS FULL TIME WE MAKE UP FOR 50% OF THE COMPANY!!! STRENGTH WITHIN NUMBERS!!!

Horrible company to work for. Like you guys said NO benefits NO pay raise NO future. We are the only company that give there employers an Expiration date! Honda better smarten up there are a lot more pissed and stressed out contract workers then permanent it wouldn't take much for us to all walk out and go on strike or something until they decide to hire full time. there is to many of us something has got to give lets stand up to the bully become strong and build some kick ass cars and get the recolonization and pay we deserve for are hard work and the ability to move up in the company and not be stuck on one job are whole life with no chance to move around.

They do this to us because we have let them get away with this bullshit unapposed. It has been made very clear (especially over the past 8 years) that they have no intention of rewarding hard working contract associates with any hope of a fulltime job, no benifits, no paid holidays, no chance for advancment. We aren't asking for much.....just the same oppurtunities you have offered the existing fulltime associates. How about this contracts..........2/3 of the work for 2/3 of the pay!

65 contracts hired full time ( actually 68 ). This has nothing to do with rewarding loyal associates. It is a ploy to make it look like they are hiring again. They are scared shitless of a union and they needed to do this to make it look like they have heard our voice. Don't buy into this. They wont do this again until another union scare which in past history proves to be about every 5-7 years or so. ps..........what about the contracts who worked a full 40-months but never got a call back or why in the fuck do you not count student time when your "hiring" 68 new contracts.

WOW You guys are tipical over paid cry babies.
Go out and find yourselves with no work at all for a while. Have the Banks calling you every day.
Wonder where to turn next to try to feed your family.
Times are tuff out there.
Just be gratefull you have somewhere to go every day and get paid for it.
Or quit and I will take your place and be more than happy about it.

We all need to sign and submit a union card every calendar year. The company has proven they do not care about us, nor do they have our best interest in mind. We need support from the Canadian Auto Workers union. Lets come together, get organized and be represented as group. SIGN YOUR CARD!

Yeah, they're hiring. What a joke. I can't tell you how many times I've applied here and heard nothing. I'm a licensed machinist with over 10 years in manufacturing experience and still nothing. Yet there's probably tonnes of people in there less qualified than me. I'm guessing like a lot of big companies they have quotas to fill if you know what I mean.

P.s. I'm not looking for a job as a machinist so nobody can say that they don't have machinists etc. i want to work on the assembly line like everybody else. Heck, I'll even sweep the floors. Whatever it takes.

Toyota in Cambridge is fighting the same battle. We are near the end of our 2 year union drive and the vote is coming for the union. We will prevail and unionize. Good luck Honda, we will be at your gates helping the union drive.
