The time is ripe for a full, through and honest discussion on race relattions between the races, if it may be had in a calm, rational manner. I am firmly convienced we will never be at peace and understanding with each other until the things that bother us can be talked out and some common ground attained.
I'll start it off, I do not like baggy pants showing below underware. Is there some way to get this stopped?
Come on now, have at it...

Well, racism is going to be alive and well as long as blacks and Hispanics act like whites hold some secret answer to all of the world's problems and are too selfish to share it. Notice after Katrina the first reaction of the black citizens and government was to look expectantly at whites and get upset when they werent given free sh*t fast enough. Racism is the belief that one race of people is superior over another. As long as minorities continue to treat whites like the superior race whites will continue to act like the superior race. When minorities become self-reliant, whites may stop being racist.

I must have missed something.
What does baggy pants have to do with racism?

Not liking baggy pants or the way people act is more of a cultural issue. How is that racism? People call everyting racism these days and the tension rises.

Racism can include anything one race does that is disrespectful to another. This baggy pants thing and exposing underware in public is certainly racist since it is predominately blacks who do it.
The blacks know this is upsetting to the whites and therefore promote it just to show their disrespect.

Racism and culture go hand in hand. You can't tell them apart.

Garrig, you are correct, everything is called racist because usually things people don't like as of late is purpotrated by an opposite race. Gangs, black shootings, black incarisation and most of all lack of self respect.

False. Taking your example of baggy pants, this is predominantly associated with hip hop culture in modern society. However, despite what people may think, hip hop is not exclusive to any particular ethnicity. Therefore, hip hop as a culture (and subsequently the individuals within that culture who wear baggy pants) encompasses many races.

Workplaces have a 'culture'. A particular group of sports fans - say, for example, New York Knicks followers - have a culture. Villages, towns, cities, counties, states and nations all have their own particular culture (although rarely will every member of the populous subscribe to it). Some may be very similar, others may be polar opposites.

But it is rare that entire ethnic races have their own all encompassing culture - not all white people are the same, nor all black, nor all hispanic, and so on. Small or lare pockets may be part of the same or similar cultures, but there will always be exceptions.

Racism is the hatred of a group of people based solely on their ethnicity, regardless of any other factors, culture included.

"Racism is the belief that one race of people is superior over another".

Whites taught blacks how to wear clothing, eat with a knife and fork, their first written language, blacks had never even cultivated a single crop, depite living in the most fertile lands on earth. When we found them in Africa they were running around naked hunting with spears.

How can whites not feel we are superior?

Baggy pants are also a health hazzard, I saw 2 guys jaywalking across the middle of a busy street with pants falling off them, one tripped and fell flat on his face, because his pants tripped him, a car came within inches of running him over.

Well if you're saying Blacks are doing it to offend white people, then that could be construed as racist on the part of the Blacks who do this. But you can dislike some aspects of Black American culture and not be racist. Since it's their behaviour that offends you and not their phenotype. You could still be friends with Black Jamaicans or Africans who have a different culture. Do you see my point?

Maybe we should just have the racist comments put into a single post:

If you don't see that this is racism then you are part of the problem.

The first comment is not racist. And a few others are disputable.

If when talking about racism and you bring up baggy pants on 'minorities', THAT is racist. When discussing racism and defending it w/ such things as 'black gangs', 'their fault', 'disrespect'... that's racist. Racism is all over this thread.

Get real. You don't have to approve of everything minorities do to be seen as non racist. Young punks wearing their pants low so the crack of their a$$es show is offensive. It doesn't matter what race they are. And if they happen to be Black, oh well.

Also believing all races are equal in every way is really a FAITH issue. An individual's personal experiences may contradict this notion. Is he to be blammed because his experinces have led him to believe differently? The only REALISTIC thing we can ask for, is that we treat everyone equally and with respect. Our personal beliefs are our own..and nobody's business.
