Looking back in the thread- and hoping that all is well for your son and for your family.
Things are as well as can be expected, considering the tragedy of losing such a sweet girl at such a young age. Her roadside memorial is a constant reminder. Thanks for asking. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

I appreciate the response. Thank you. I do not spend much time on topix now- due to just how far some people are willing to slip into unpolite conversations. Non Christians and Christians alike- but I always come back to this thread when prompted to do so.

Road side memorials are a sad view to be sure. Let's trust that seeing it has helped people to drive more safely.

My youngest is driving- he only has his permit so far- and is 18. I am probably hampering his taking the test due to my own concerns over teen drivers.

I commend your decision to delay the process. Kids don't realize that driving is a privilege, not a right. Unless it's a necessity like living far from school, or having a job commitment, I wouldn't press the issue of getting a driver license. If they are driving without purpose, in many cases, it's just a recipe for disaster. Best wishes for you and your young driver. I'm sure that by waiting he will appreciate the responsibility that comes along with safe driving.

Today's Prayer

Dear God, You are in control, even when life seems so out of control. Please help me to keep my focus on you and your will. I want to trust in you even in the midst of circumstances I don't understand. Keep me honest and humble. I pray you will provide my needs and provide the ability for me to help those who are so spiritually, and physically, needy...in my family, my community, and around the world. Guide me to work together with my brothers and sisters in Christ to accomplish great things for you.

Prime time with God

Hoping that anyone who has this thread on their tracker--- feels Gods presence- and how much He loves you. Is this a season which you are near truly believing ?

It is on my heart that many do not really know the depth of His love and concern for you. He is waiting for you to turn the page - waiting for you to ask Him totally into your heart so that you will hear his guidance and instruction.

John 3:5Jesus replied,“I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. 6Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. 7So don’t be surprised when I say,‘You must be born again.’ 8The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”

9“How are these things possible?” Nicodemus asked.

10Jesus replied,“You are a respected Jewish teacher, and yet you don’t understand these things? 11I assure you, we tell you what we know and have seen, and yet you won’t believe our testimony. 12But if you don’t believe me when I tell you about earthly things, how can you possibly believe if I tell you about heavenly things? 13No one has ever gone to heaven and returned. But the Son of Man has come down from heaven. 14And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, 15so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.

16“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

18“There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. 19And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants."
