Would you live in a black neighborhood?

I've lived in a pre dominate Black Neighborhood and never had a problem. The only reason why I wouldn't is for the simple fact that I dont like being stopped by the Police.I guess to must people its just weird to see someone who is not of that race or culture to enter in a dominate Neighborhood.But this is an old story.the bottom line is some people will never get it.

Honestly, I'd say no. There is a lot of crime, injustice, and many are not safe. Crime is everywhere, but are more likely in some neighborhoods. I don't need to worry about cops riddling me w/ bullets or drive bys.

I lived in this town for 53 years.All white then.There were certainly problems with other white neighbors.3 homes to be exact were the scourge of the neighborhood.When blacks began to move in 7 years ago,there was little difference.No racial trouble toward black people.Then a few moved in that had no respect for neighbors.The home they moved into became a wreck.The home was in near perfect condition.So,the neighbors on either side put their home up for sale,before the value of the property went down,along with the early morning rukus made by them.Rowhomes these are with 3 bedrooms.First a small black family of 3 moved in,then a year later,the same home now has 5 adults and 3 children.Then the other home has 2 adults,8 children from 3 years old to 16.Each adult has at least one car.Now,this street,which use to be parking on one side(1 way street)the town had to open up the other side also to releive the parking problem.Now even that is not enough for all the cars here.Can't make more parking then there is space on the street.But that does'nt stop them from moving in more family members,also with cars,suv.trucks.Illegal parking everyday all day.Just not enough parking spots.When these homes were built,it was for no more than 2 cars per house.Use to be 40 kids playing in the street.Now there are 75.When a party or holiday comes along,then even more come here.They end up parking in driveways,behind other neighbors homes without permission,park on other nearby streets.Use to be when there was a big occassion,the original neighbors would rent a hall.These people can afford to do that.Garbage on and in my yard,trah stuck in my hedge,trash all over the rest of the neighborhood.3 home invasions happened this year.Fights so bad from students comming out of school,that the police dept.now have a dedicated patrol for it.Guns visible in the pants waist line from 12 year olds.I seen it myself.Drugs and graffetti now decorate the area.Never this bad when whites were dominate here.I have a black neighbor.She and her daughter are great.She disses the blacks here herself!She wants to move from here.She does not asscoiate with any other blacks here.So,what does that say about blacks?I'm all for all races to live in peace together.It takes effort on their part.I've done mine.5 murders in 2 years here.None when whites lived here.There are only 6 homes left with white people,out of 120,in the immediate rowhomes.Then there is the blasting of rap all hours of the day an night.

In S.W.Phia.my grandmother lived there most her life.It was a street mostly lived in by 75% of our family.As blacks moved in,the same happened.Homes became wrecks,crime went up.My grandmother minded her own buisness,and like many elders,she wanted to remain in the home she grew up in and die there.We had to move her out when she was robbed on her way home,at the end of the street she lived is where she was robbed.Because she was the last white person there,she was threatened to move out or they'll burn her home down!My Dad was robbed answering a call,he drove a taxi part time,and 3 black guys tried to kill him.They beat him badly.Only the intervention of a passerby saved his life.That was 25 years ago.So,no,I'm wary of living among black people.I am well aware that not all are like the ones in my experience in life.Not one black was attacked by any white here.Yet it happens to whites.Where you live can certainly be a different experience.I've seen 3 areas turn to blight after blacks moved in.Why do they ruin the hood?This was a clean,well kept neighborhood.The homes in excellent condition when they moved in.Not now.Why?

Great post! This needs to be fixed because both sides have wrong views of each other. But as you can see, this thread proves that as long as people imbrase their ignorance of the other race, nothing will get solved.

Crime is in any impoverished and under developed neighborhood. It just so happens that most of those in America are black neighborhoods. Race has nothing to do with it. Look though out European and early American history. Poor places were full of crime and the leadership was corrupt.

Look at the countries in SE Asia where u can get killed for $100 and a pack of cigarettes. Examples please. Please back up your empty marxist statements and show examples of just how white areas become like New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. How do you explain the fact that where ever there is a significant negro population you always find crime, filth, poverty and decay?

How come where ever there is a majority white population (Even if they're poor) you find a safe, clean place to live, with increasing property values?
