The post does not answer my question.
WHERE is it written that one must feel remorse?
You DO have a learning disability! If it ISN'T written, how can there be a WHERE?

Did you buy milk? No. Where did you put it?
Do you own a car? No. Where do you park it?
Do you have children? No. Where do they sleep?

If it isn't written that one must feel remorse, why do you insist that I must, in order to be a decent human being?

noun
1.
deep and painful regret for wrongdoing; compunction.
2.
Obsolete. pity; compassion.

According to this definition, I cannot accept the word “remorse” as I didn’t do anything wrong.

Then my original statement that started us down this rabbit hole was accurate. It feels nice to finally be vindicated.

Why was the decision gut-wrenching, then?

I'm sorry your mind is so incredibly narrow you cannot comprehend how I might feel.

I'm choosing not to waste my time even trying to explain.

You're choosing not to address it because we've just established that I'm 100% correct.

How can I feel remorse when I didn't do anything wrong?

Are you really so stupid you cannot comprehend that?

Haven't you ever had to make a decision that was extremely difficult, even though it was the right thing to do?

Examples: Sending my son off to Iraq. Helping to deliver my sister's still born daughter. Telling my mother than my oldest brother had molested me.

If you've never had to do something like this, you are damned lucky.

Isn't it obvious? Because I have a greater sense of compassion and love than you do.

So you have compassion and love for the life you took? Then how can you defend the ability of mothers to kill their unborn children? That makes no sense.

"Regret is a tiresome companion."

We, at least I, have done some very bad things in my life. If you know Jesus, God is faithful to forgive. He is so wonderful he even forgets our sins. We do not have the ability to forget; so when these old thoughts of shortcomings come back in our minds, we need to trigger our memory of God's forgiveness, then deal with the hardest part, "forgiving yourself."

It can be compared to taking out the garbage, then going back out and sorting through it again. Satan loves to torment us with things we are ashamed of doing. When these thoughts come, just realize there is no way to change the past.

Since thoughts come from 3 places, God, Satan and our own minds, analyze every thought that makes you uncomfortable and know it DID NOT come from God, assuming it is something in your past. The battle between joy and sorrow can be won by everyone, for it is "between our ears."
Do not torture yourself and I repeat, as I began, "regret is a tiresome companion."

“Ignorance is bliss.”

It sure is sad Grunt,I have told her this for months. She will just never get it.She has put on her moniker .I am being a better me. That's a joke. If she had been a better me she would have given her child a life to live. She can say all she wants It happened 30 years ago,but had she given her child life who knows what that child could have been..Pure selfishness, she chose to stuff her piehole rather than give her child a life.
Yes, the child could have become a mass murderer. Or one of those people who shoot up malls or schools. You never consider that there could have been a negative outcome for that "child."
