the mask of civil construct falls easily here. One might argue that this medium is more truthful than meat-space.
You're dead on, Karl. This is much more honest than meat space. We see levels of people here not visible anywhere else - at least not in my world, which is why I said that I only became aware of how repulsive a religion Christianity was in my time on Topix, and why it is only in the last few years that I have come to understand the damage that it does to the culture through its adherents.

Seriously - under what other circumstances could you get to know people like this so well? The people I socialize with aren't like this, and we don't discuss religion anyway.

Furthermore, if we did, the discussion couldn't be this extensive for this long without the relationships falling apart.

Now, about 5 years, 50,000 posts, and roughly 500 Christians later, when I meet Christians in meat space, I assume that they're like Topix Christians, meaning that there is about a 5-10% chance that they're good people, and about a 50% chance that they're repulsive despite a thin veneer of public civility, with the remainder spread out in between. Why wouldn't they be?

Who knew?

Ditto.
If you can honestly answer this question without Google, you're more manly than you think.
A basic framed wall consists of one treated bottom plate, studs and two top plates. Why are there two top plates?
so that god does not think you are building a tower to his heaven, and curse every one on the project with a new and unique language.

Do you blame me?
Yes because it makes no sense. I have never given anybody grief over anything they believe, so long as they haven't lied. Why would that suddenly change now and with a poster who lied?
River Tam wrote:

I'm pretty sure she still believes in some things.
Does it bother you that she doesn't believe in what you do?
Do you think she lied to you?
Is she the first one to do that?
Do you respect people who lie to others and pretend to care about what they care about? What if someone lied and told you they were an amputee to get close to you and you found out after 4 years they were lying? That is what she did with others. It doesn't bother me personally as her and i were never particularly close. I don't know how else to explain it. I would assume most people would think someone being a fraud for 4 years to gain people's trust isn't a good thing

I can bilk a guy for money. I have.
Why would you do that? Are you talking about minor stuff like drinks or clothes or serious cash. It makes a difference. Its kind of on the guy if he gets bilked for some things if he is in the pursuit of trying to get laid. But cheating someone that is trying to help is way different. I would hope you wouldn't do the latter. I actually would prefer not to know as that would be disappointing. But I can't see it

No I merely repeated what you posted in a public forum for all to see

Why would you continue to post me if you are scared of me de me never saying anything threatening to you?

Is it because you are trying to get money through a bogus lawsuit?

It is quite obvious that your character is a failure, and reflects extremely poorly upon any philosophy that would have you.
Such analysis is not high science, but rather obvious to any civil mind that might read your thoughts; that you share here.
Skom is insulting this man by calling him effeminate. Honestly.. How dare he dare to make

You can't really call it racism. It's just cultural.
It's the fears of our parents passed down to us. They had their reasons but those times have passed. It should not be a part of my generation.
It should not but it is. I haven't figured out how to change that, yet.
I'm still working on it ;)

But the whole subject baffles me - I've been a xenophile for as long as I can remember.
