let us say 25/hr
2000(working hour with no overtime/yr) x 25 = 50k
20k/1.5 = 13.3k
13.3k/25 = 533 hrs
he would need to work 10 hrs overtime every week.
70k seems to me a generous estimate.
Do people get paid $25/hr for unskilled labor? Then who's making minimum wage? Med school cadavers?

Have you just recently became aware of that?

The "Big Bang" is one of two absolutely awful misnomers used within science. The second being "the missing link".

"The god particle" may end up being the third.

Those - "terms" - were meant as a quick and dirty way to impart a very simplistic meaning to very complex subjects. I don't think that should be done, personally, and the very complex explanations should be used, since, those simplistic terms have not assisted anyone in understanding that which is beyond them anyway.

Those simplistic terms have only created confusion among people unwilling to take the time to understand the complexity involved.

We do have Ideas... Skom. ;)
Think how terrible the USA would be if WE...
1. Eradicate the Bush tax cuts for the rich and institute new taxes on the wealthiest Americans and on corporations, including a tax on all trading on Wall Street (where they currently pay 0%).
2. Assess a penalty tax on any corporation that moves American jobs to other countries when that company is already making profits in America. Our jobs are the most important national treasure and they cannot be removed from the country simply because someone wants to make more money.
3. Require that all Americans pay the same Social Security tax on all of their earnings (normally, the middle class pays about 6% of their income to Social Security; someone making $1 million a year pays about 0.6%(or 90% less than the average person). This law would simply make the rich pay what everyone else pays.
4. Reinstate the Glass-Steagall Act, placing serious regulations on how business is conducted by Wall Street and the banks.
5. Investigate the Crash of 2008, and bring to justice those who committed any crimes.
6. Reorder our nation's spending priorities (including the ending of all foreign wars and their cost of over $2 billion a week). This will re-open libraries, reinstate band and art and civics classes in our schools, fix our roads and bridges and infrastructure, wire the entire country for 21st century internet, and support scientific research that improves our lives.
7. Join the rest of the free world and create a single-payer, free and universal health care system that covers all Americans all of the time.
8. Immediately reduce carbon emissions that are destroying the planet and discover ways to live without the oil that will be depleted and gone by the end of this century.
9. Require corporations with more than 10,000 employees to restructure their board of directors so that 50% of its members are elected by the company’s workers. We can never have a real democracy as long as most people have no say in what happens at the place they spend most of their , to health care, to a free and full education, to breathe clean air, drink clean water and eat safe food, and to be cared for with dignity and respect in their old age.
I am Imhotep® and I approve this post.
There is some good stuff in there. Although I wouldn't go along with 2,5, 9 and 10 (I randomly edited for space). 2) you can't force companies to use certain labor or penalize them for expanding globally. But what you can do is give incentives not to and no breaks if they do. The biggest problem with the Bush tax cuts are they don't actually require anybody to do anything to get them. It's supposed to be to encourage reinvestment but they get the breaks even if they don't

5) Unfottunaty much of the crash was investigated already and most of the things done were legal. And an investigation six years after the fact isn't gonna do anything. We need to instead make things like Golden parachutes at Enton (know that was prior) or shady lending practices illegal and tighten up regulations and then enforce them

9) corporations have a right to set their own board. It isn't a democracy and you even claim in number 10 you don't want corporations treated like people. Corporations have owners and major stockholders and they get to decide who runs the company they own

10) nobody has a guaranteed right to a job. And the practical complications of having the work, getting everybody to work, deciding who should do what work, and who gets what jobs isn't within the realm of reason. Provide healthcare and shelters but you can't guarantee jobs

But some good ideas in there

I said that some of the laws of the OT were specific laws for a specific people.
You atheists get too stuck on "but, but, but... It's in the Bible!!" and never give yourselves a chance to learn anything.
"Even if you do change their mind, they're never gonna admit to you that you did. So don't ever make that the test of whether or not you're right or whether or not you're persuasive or whether or not you're winning an argument. Most of these people are closed-minded, emotionally driven, non-thinking people. You're not gonna get to 'em with logic. You're not gonna get to them with fact. They live in a world they have constructed so that they don't have to face the facts. They can instead immerse themselves in this cocoon of emotion that makes 'em feel good. They don't want the facts if they contradict what they believe."
-Limbaugh on skeptics.
1. The Bible isn't a rational, logical thing. It's a collection of myths and metaphors that you turn into something you believe is logical through a learned method of interpreting it - and that method changes throughout the years.

2. If you ever apply scientific reasoning to the Bible, the Bible fails. Every time.

3. So Limbaughs words work better in reverse. He's really saying "atheists don't understand our worldview. And no matter how hard you try, they just don't get it. If they finally do it see it from our side, they won't tell you (and I'm including this here so you feel better about losing arguments)."

4. You are explaining a religious worldview that is so full of logical holes, it's crazy. I'm explaining a rational position that you cannot see for your religious worldview.

<quoted text>Thanks for the info... please bear in mind that though a hebrew interlinear may claim to be a exact translation from the original ancient Hebrew... please note for future use that there are different versions of ancient Hebrew interlinears.
Much like different versions of the bible as you would know it.
It's kind of like how one can't always "fully" trust a biblical commentary. Because a person will sometimes write a commentary based on their own cultural and denominational experiences. The same can be said for Jewish person and interlinears.
Sometimes different versions of anything is a way to keep the money flowing. <--- probaly the dark side of translations when it comes to profit margins.
Nonetheless, though the motives aren't perfectly pure due to business interests... yet, it gives more ways of understanding a text.
I went and found the most comprehensive bible translation and exegesis software i could.

BibleWorks is used by theologians, scholars etc..., the world over.

So, I dunno, it has the original texts, in full, in the original Characters etc... All that needs be done is hover your cursor over that original word character and it gives a quick meaning, and along the sidebar goes into an extensive translation that delves into the feminine and masculine aspects, along with the times used in the bible, and, the context with each usage, with comparative analysis in which meaning relates in usage and context - to the use in question or you're examining.

It's a very accurate and straightforward way of looking at your mythic texts. It has somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 translations included, along with the oldest and original texts.

I acquired this because I tired of being told that "you just aren't getting the proper exegesis and translation!".

I don't worry about that any longer.
