Whenever you sit back and knowingly let something tragic happen you become in part responsible for it happening...either legally and/or morally.
Good Morning Annie, that brings up an interesting question, I think. I won't be able to discuss in detail now but the question is, "Why doesn't God stop evil from happening?"

Now, some may disagree with me on this but I just want to initially put my input in there and say that it is not because He is a weakling.

Nope. I named three atheists, you changed it to all atheists. That's your problem.
Nope, you claimed ALL atheists are immoral and religion is the only thing preventing them from killing.

If it's legal, then it's moral at that time, you said it, not me.
You can't squirm your way out of this one.
By your own logic, it would be moral to burn down churches if it were legal to burn down churches.
Once again, your logic is being used here, not mine, not any realistic logic...just yours.
So is abortion moral?

Did anyone claim that you didn't?
You lied when you claimed that you were born Christian, you are not lying when you claim that you can't remember not being Christian.
The evidence refutes your claims, and you have no evidence to back up your claims.
You claiming that you were born Christian is just as dumb as someone claiming 2 plus 2 is 89.
So were you born a homosexual?

"Bible Facts" - hahaha! Is that like a special kind of fact, one that doesn't actually have to be real?

How do we know the Bible is factual?

Well, it's divine. Therefore it is perfectly accurate.

How do we know the Bible is divine?

Well, the Bible tells us it is!

That's a step.
I lean more on the old creationist side of things. I believe in what is known as the Gap theory. I don't believe exactly as it entails and I don't believe that it is a theory.

Long story short...(can't go into detail right now)... but as you can guess the Bible doesn't go into minute by minute detail. You could be reading one sentence and the next sentence 2 years have gone by... or if you easily flip a page you could be bypassing hundreds of years. I believe between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 that there was such a space. Another thing Lacez is that God didn't begin at Genesis 1:1... He simply began that particular cycle of earth. I believe what the scriptures says in that God existed from everlasting to everlasting... so what's a few billion years but a small amount of time?

Just my views... not many Christians accept those views btw.

I really don't follow you.

If you mean that belief in the literal reality of the Bible is just a subjective, experienced reality, then I agree with you.

<quoted text>The truth of the matter is that it is not always the woman's fault...
.. when it comes to women and the Bible, it seems the feminine gender is always to blame, especially in a sexual context ..

1. Eve
2. Jezebel
3. Lot's Daughters
4. Delilah
5. Bathsheba
6. Salome

.. it also seems the bible teaches that women are inferior to men ..

1. God made man, women came from Adam's rib.
2. Eve was created for Adam.
3. The fall of men was Eve's fault.

.. then there's this little tidbit ..

"For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man"
(1 Corinthians 11:2-9)

.. seems pretty clear to me. Where is my logic amiss ??..

News flash Lacey, the Bible never mentions how old the Earth is.

So where is it lying about the age of the Earth?

You're being honest here - you're teaching (reminding) us that believers can force-fit their holy book to any scenario they want. New science comes along, the interpretation and claims change. One thing remains constant: you have to ignore all the science that discredits the holy book.

But consider how you were just so easily refuted about the archealogical evidence in the bible account of Jews being slaves in Egypt.

That should make you consider just how scary Wrong you are about the existence of God.
