And what would it be like in America if there were Christian laws and a Christian court with jurisdiction over matters of Christian law? Imagine that nightmare.
We can all thank Zeus for secular humanists and pray that they never lose control of government back to the church that claims that the founders never intended for there to be a church-state wall of separation.
From "The Myth of the Separation of Church and State" at http://www.tgm.org/mythofseparation.html :
"The "wall" was understood as one-directional; its purpose was to protect the church from the state. The world was not to corrupt the church, yet the church was free to teach the people Biblical values ... The people did not want freedom FROM religion, but freedom OF religion ... To say Biblical principles should not be allowed in government and school is to either be ignorant of the historic intent of the founding fathers, or blatantly bigoted against Christianity."
How un-American is that?
One can only imagine what they would do if the church ever breaches the gates of that wall more than it already has.
You are making comparisons that cannot in any way exist in America, this thing does not even exist in Mexico, and Mexico is a predominantly Christian country also.

That's a good way to look at it.

Maybe not bigotry, maybe just a flawed reasoning.

That's one thing I know about Christians in America and Mexico, they will not harbor criminals against our youth under the wings of their religion.
The order may try, but the body of people will not stand for harming children and will not support any order that would. There is an honor in this that extends even into the criminal arena, not even criminals will stand for the rape of children in a christian society.

So whether I believe in god or not, I do believe in the Americas that all people are very very sensitive about such matters.
And harming children in any way will bring the wrath of god and satan alike down upon you in the Americas.

A single atheist wishing that a man who falsely accuses him of rape and incest justifies all Christian hatred.

I appreciate your honesty and integirty in this matter, Catch. Much better your fellow atheist, Ben.
I'm not a sheep. I'm not a follower. I'm awesome.
No, I'm not the king.

But I am an independent human being and make my own decisions on how to live my life.

You on the other hand must comply with what's contained within the covers of a book, written by a bunch of goatherders years and years ago.

It would be a hoot, if it wasn't also sad to see.

That is in the Bible too. After attacking your neighboring community, kill the men and elderly, steal the cattle and property, sell the children into slavery, rape the women and if you want to keep one for a wife then force her to marry you.
Praise the love of God!
This is in the bible, but not the way of western society. Not that bad things do not happen, but they are not supported by anything in western ideology.

Yes, the cases cited are Islamic countries and it is Sharia Law.
Note that Sharia Law is based on the Twarat AKA Torah AKA Old Testament.
In other words those Muslims are doing exactly what the Bible says to do.
The Jews were forced to drop that crap in 70AD and the Christians followed suit claiming Jesus told them to abandon the OT laws.
However, they will use the OT Laws against anyone they don't like... gays and non-chritians for example.
And this is relevant to America ...how?
