I see little difference between you and Doctor Reality other than quantity of posts.
Chris is bias toward his own beliefs, which I can understand. D R is an outright flagrantly hateful bigot.

Well, the earth is by no means a "perfect sphere" due to the energies of motion and gravity that are exerted on it....but generally, it would be considered a sphere. IMO

I can't know what you've said.
The point is, the basis of your belief, as outlined in the bible, claims your deity is perfect.
You may fell like that by standing on the premise of "I've never said my deity is perfect", means something.
I'm sure it does, in some way.
That's the thing about the bible and the beliefs associated with the bible.
Christians choose, add additional components not found in the bible, and discard sections of the bible as they see fit.
This is why you often see Christianity called a "salad bar" religion.
I've never wrote I think God is perfect.

That doesn't mean I don't think that.

.. hi ya AIN !!(( how's that?))..
.. while I agree that politeness can be a manipulative tool, it can also be a courtesy ..
.. it is my contention that if the outside reflects the inside, yes, politeness is a moral value; part of cooperation and consideration ..
.. politeness and religion are tricky. On one hand, Christians are told to 'do unto others' then, in the next breath, encouraged to condemn certain social practices like atheism, witchcraft, homosexuality or lying. That's a mixed message that would confuse anyone hence the need for clerics to interpret and clarify a book (the bible) that, left to their own devices, nobody could understand ..
.. because we are passing through a critical phase of civilization, societal moral standards cannot be left in the hands of powerful religious leaders with diverse dogma who claim their way is the only way. The only alternative ..........

Hiya amiga. Nice tune. Thanks.

For me, morality is more about intentions than politeness. If you can imagine an very immoral person who is polite, and a person that you would consider very moral - maybe even heroic - but who couldn't help being rude, then you know what I mean.

Good manners are an asset to possess because they are a social lubricant that greases person-to-person interactions. But to me, good manners are not in the same category as integrity, compassion, courage, generosity, and other high-order character traits.

But if I wish that you "go to Heaven" or say "May your wish come true today". You will take it as an insult.
Got it!

I think it's about time you go ahead a create another identity.

I have. Something about adults committing crimes because 7 year old children aren't praying in school. I can't remember where I heard that. Do you know?
I remember that.

It was Satan's influence that led people to drive prayer from the schools.

And it's been all downhill since.

That's hate speech, and it's being disseminated by the church. I suggest that that is not acceptable, and that everybody that is slandered by that message consider how they feel about that.
