I don't recall...what does it say about fathers and mothers that gave their children reason to mistreat and disgrace them.
I have often thought of the commandment...
Honor thy father and mother...
I have often thought about those parents that don't deserve to be honored.
They exist...we read about them every day...those parents that abuse their children. Are those children still expected to...honor thy father and mother?
Since the Bible doesn't mention them, they don't exist.
Must be secular and atheist lies.

<quoted text>You're projecting writer. "it's like"...that alone should tell you something. "Its" not "like" you assume.
Well It's good that you care about all humans, that's nice.
But what does have to do with what's being discussed on the thread?
Absolutely nothing, at least to me.
Whether someone is happy, sad, crazy, delusional, tranquil, high, sorrowful, pleasant, zany, etc, etc, etc. What does it matter to you? are you a Shrink? are you here trying to get business for your practice? do you see this billboard as a networking opportunity for money making?
The emotional attitude of anyone on this site should be irrelevant to you. There is nothing you can do about it. You're not my friend, I don't know you. Write your opinions and your views and let that be.
If you're a psychiatrist looking for patients and need to make a buck off people here, No thank you, solicit someone else please.
Nah, never mind.

No bitterness here....

Talent is a small part of it. It's like any other endeavor; if you want to master it, it takes hours and hours of grueling, repetitious practice.
For some it comes naturally.

Incredibly presumptuous statement RR. A little surprising coming from you. Please show a post where I talk about indoctrination.
"8yr old - Mummy, what's blackmail?

9yr old (spoke as I was going to)- The threats in the bible."

Hmmm....

"spoke as I was going to"

Indoctrination, indeed. That your 9 year old knew exactly what to say to make you happy.

This is the grave of Nicky Dee
Who died defending his Deity
His belief was true, his faith was strong
But he's just as dead as if he was wrong.

Shame on her for teaching her children what blackmail is and that it is wrong even for a deity.

IANS: That's the closet - choosing to silence yourself in public - or "the trolls" as you call us - and confining your opinions to protected environments where you know that you will be well received.

Notice the use of the word "choosing." My comment always follows some complaint by a Christian that his opinions are not well received. It is at that time that I suggest that perhaps he or she would prefer privacy in a protected environment with only like minded people.
But if you don't mind joining in the discussion, jump on in. Just don't complain that your church, your faith, your bible or your god aren't being shown the degree of respect that you would prefer.
How is that intolerance?
You're being dishonest, IANS. I have read your posts where you have told us that our prayer should he kept in our living rooms. THAT is intolerance.

What's the distinction between abnormal and damaged to you? Either way, it's the same for gay people, assuming that by abnormal you don't mean exceptional in the positive sense.
And where do you suppose that idea originated? The public schools? The Mary Tyler Moore Show? Wal-Mart? Line dancing? Little League Baseball? I'm guessing that you got it directly or indirectly from Jesus, Inc.
Nope. I got it from my understanding of human affection, sex, etc. It has nothing to do with Jesus.

That's why I said "my version of normal"......

I know you want to make this out to be all Jesus' fault, but you don't get to.
