Epi seems to be surprised that anybody would dislike her or disapprove of her posting. She might be coming to understand that not everybody admires random Hallmark card greetings, nor cares what Jesus would think, and that they just might tell her so in an icon if not in words.

Thank you, Annie.
Perhaps I should have been more explicit in what I meant by the end stage of a disease. Phrases like end stage renal failure and end stage Alzheimer's have a specific meaning in medicine, especially in end-of-life care and hospice:
[1] "End-Stage Disease - The very worst condition of an organ or disease state. At this point the organ is barely functioning. Examples: End stage kidney disease means the kidneys have shut down and the patient needs dialysis; End stage heart disease means the heart is functioning very poorly and may need mechanical support or transplantation in order for the patient to survive."
http://www.cts.usc.edu/zglossary-endstagedise...
[2] "End-stage disease - a disease condition that is essentially terminal because of irreversible damage to vital tissues or organs. Kidney or renal end-stage disease is defined as a point at which the kidney is so badly damaged or scarred that dialysis or transplantation is required for patient survival."
http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.c...
Yes, depression is a disease, but it doesn't have an end stage in the technical sense.
I would say it does and I would say its pretty obvious. Suicide is the end stage.

<quoted text>You know, I used to think the same thing, when I was young and naive. People don't remember now, but it was a big deal then - Buy American. It carried the feel of national pride and patriotism. Then came the day I went to change the oil in my wife's "American-made" '85 Ford Escort, and the only wrench that fit was an 11mm. That's when I learned that while the American worker was carrying their water, the Big Three had already quietly sold the bucket. Only Americans have national pride - multi-national corporations have allegiance to none but The Nation of Lucre, and we still help them along their way in our quixotic quest for "Low Prices", cutting our own legs out from under ourselves in the process. But it's all good, we can still wave our flags - Made In China.
Well you aint young anymore Hip are ye? But yer still naive..........

RCC still is doing not charity, only own business around left over world, for own glamour, own fiches, pride ,tax exempts and own secure power
THIS IS NOT FREE WILL CHARITY
bUYING FOOD SUPPLIES FOR 1.4 %PRICE,AND SEELING FOR 3 TIMES HIGHER PRICE,IS NOT CHARITY ONLY WAIST OUT OF DATES GIVEN TO THE STARVING PEOPLE AND HAVING HUGE FINANCIAL AID FROM COUNTRY GOVERNMENT= NOT CHARITY
health care providing cheap siringes,or for meds paying almost nothing, and receive in return huge tax deductions is not charity. Free will give away without of any reward

This isn't directed at you personally...I have no idea how you feel about the RCC.

I have heard and read several Christians say...the Catholic church is a cult...they are not Christians...etc...etc.

Yet when it comes to statistics they are happy to include them.

Why do you think that is?

Also include in the statistics that many like to use are the Mormons and the Jehovah's Witness...two other denominations that have often been referred to as non-Christians and cults.

Why do you think that they are included on one hand and excluded on the other?

Do you think it is just a numbers game in order to inflate the statistics?

Incorrect. That would be Mark 16's neaniskos -- a young man -- not the gardener, who said that. The gardener, who turns out to be Jesus, appears in John 20.
My apologies. You are correct. It is simply a "young man". There were millions of them back then.
We do not know who he was. The best guess would be that he is a tomb grounds worker, what to day we call a "grounds keeper".

My argument still stands. Mark does not say Jesus was raised from the dead. It says he got up and went to Galilee.

It also makes the unknown man the "first apostle".

Did you sell everything you have and give it to the poor, Red ?

If not you are going to Hell with the rest of us:

"sell all that you have, and distribute unto the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me."

Yeah, you only believe the parts that damn others and find excuse for all the things that damn you along with everyone else.

Live long and miserable, you already received your reward.

God's Word says otherwise.
Mark 16:16.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
So Le_le, are you telling us that God's Word is a lie?
Beacuse it clearly says that quote: "he that believeth not shall be damned".
While you say quote: "Not one single soul will be lost..
Not a one.."
So which is the truth Le_le, what you say, or what God's Word says?

I agree...religion will always exist (IMO). It will exist as long as mankind searches for hope and can not find it within himself.

Probably. A lot of people think "the more of people like me there are, the stronger I am". IMO.

I'm a Protestant Christian, not a Catholic. But I do give the RCC much credit for the goods & services they provide for the needy around the world.

I have done this euro personally. For three years in a row, my dad was a missionary to Tanzania, Africa. Our church got together with others in the area and stuffed a cargo container full of all kinds of supplies. Everything from bike to blankets, desks to Tylenol.

All of the goods were either donated or purchased to donate by members of the churches. The cargo container, shipping, airfare for my parents, lodging, food, etc was all funded by the church through donations of it's members.

We busted our asses for months to get all the supplies from wherever they were to the cargo container at the church, then stuffed it - and I mean packed it so tight we couldn't even add another sock.

There were 100's and 100's of people (that I'll never know) that benefited from our little church in little Riverside.

THAT is charity. THAT is giving. And THAT is what Christians do all the time and all over the world.

If they leave out Catholics then then Christianity is a minority religion (15% of the worlds population). IN the USA those claiming to b Protestants are the majority at over 50% of the population.

Mark 16's neaniskos, likely the forerunner of the Beloved Disciple, says go hang out in Galilee.

But they don't, at least not in canonical Mark.

Yet they do in John 21.

John 21, the appendix to John, likely is the missing ending of Mark in modified form.

Stick with Chess. He won't steer you wrong.
