I'm not retarded, but some call me RetardedRiversideRedneck lol.
The arguement was over your claim that secular organizations do not donate to the sick and hungry.

A simple, "OH! My mistake!" would have worked.

Instead you once again changed the goal post to avoid admitting your error.

Where in your Bible are the commandments "Thou shalt never admit you're wrong" and "Thou shalt change the subject when proven wrong." ?

If followed their training, then nothing could be done. There is no "who" to blame (unless of course building managers lied or their boss stupidly told them to charge in or some other kind of human error).
The thing is, I don't believe in an all-powerful creator deity. If someone does believe in an all-powerful creator deity, then in the face of human death and misery, they have these options:
1. ignore the obvious impossibilities and never think deeply about what omnipotent + creator means. This is what most religious people do
2. believe in some unknowable divine plan that can't make sense to the non-omniscient; a sort of "who can know the will of Allah?" In this case, the omnipotent creator deity chooses the time and state of everyone's death - in advance, at the creation of the universe.
3. choose to believe in a contradiction as in "I have an all-powerful deity, who created all and knows everything, but ridiculously doesn't have anything to do with misery and suffering."
My point, and the point of view of atheists, isn't that anyone's god is responsible for any person's death and suffering. It's that theists have impossible and unresolved beliefs in their heads that they seem incapable of acknowledging.
We find that quite funny, and childish.
The wind blew the crap flew and I couldn't see for a moment or two.

What a bunch of atheistic garbage you've posted. And the sad thing is you actually believe it and have bought into it hook, line and sinker.

GOoD Day dear sister -- Ahh FB has been a pleasure to get to know so many on a personal level and put faces to names.
To see people join together in love thru any situation whether it be offering prayers or good thoughts without retribution for their personal beliefs.
Truly a huge difference from their to here - although most of us met thru here --
My daughter and I had a touch of a scare last night. We have in a nearby town an outdoor 4 screen movie theatre -- I happen to have a sunroof on my car and near the end of the first movie this huge flash lit the sky and all 4 screens went dark.
Of course my first thought was terrorism, and there were hundreds of cars packed in one area with limited exit points.
Turns out a driver hit a transformer down the road so each vehicle was given free passes -- but when I first saw the flash it was frightening -- my heart truly goes out to war torn countries that live with that constant fear.
TLC - Judy
Glad to hear you are safe and sound ~ I remember seeing a kindergarten in one of those war turn countries, and as the planes roared over the top of the kids in their classes, they were raising their arms up and yelling, as if in defiance of what was going on around them. Perhaps a defiant stance is preferable to being scared to the point of not being able to act to defend one's family..... war is definitely not a pretty sight, and they are planning bigger and better wars, as we know, and there's not much we can do about it.

Off to the movies with my Sister today to see the Lone Ranger, didn't make it yesterday but hoping it's a good movie :)

See your words soon, Cyber Sister Granny, and it is always a pleasure running into your words!! xx

......
So;

57% went to health care for the Pope, Cardinals, priests and other employees...no charity there.

28% to support Bible Colleges that they rake in money from... no charity there.

6% to pay for the local catholic church exspenses (not much compared to the Vatican and again NOT charity.

Which leave 2.7% to national charities.

Christ! I donate more than that! 2.7% isn't even tithing!

What does your god do with all of the money that it collects each week? You don't suppose that the loot isn't all getting to it, do you?
If we stipulate that it exists for a moment, then we have to say that your god does let children starve. And get leukemia, And accidentally shoot themselves with handguns. It doesn't lift a divine finger to help.
My GOD has money? That's surprising to read.

Hi Jute.

Yep I've been keeping up with the Tigers. I switched from cable to directv so I can see all of their games. They won again today against Cleveland. Don't see anyone catching them in their division.

That truly was very sad to see those firefighters lost. My heart goes out to the families.

Aw, we all have somebody we miss. After the death of her mom (and neatest friend in the whole wife world), Mrs RR had an epiphany, she said "I'll never get over this, all I can do is learn how to get used to it."
She is 100% correct.

Mrs RR was so right!
… and that was a nice thought you passed on to Duane. Life has taught me too much about losing loved ones, and I just think of what Jesus said...“let the dead bury the dead”- my translation ='keep walking, don't look back, and follow me'.
... this was my to my dad's memory.

" You made me laugh you made me cry
and you were cruel and also kind
a paradox of arms outstretched
to hold a world you longed to reach
a man who loved mum like an angel
a warrior true from every angle
your discipline was in the plan
of raising me as best you can
an orphan from the depths of hell
you grew so tall and strong as well
practicing every word you preached
playing with children in the street
you exceeded all the odds
the birth which gave you none to hold,
we laughed we cried we carried on
touched by each others love so strong
you made me what I am today
a warrior true in every way
no mirrors to build ego's pride
you saw yourself within my eyes.
too much alike so much the same
you molded me within the flame
Projected by... a Father's Love."

I think Jesus existed and that the Gospel of Mark gives a reasonably accurate idea of his life and teaching.
I see no reason to believe in all the magic and 'pomp and circumstance' added later.
IMHO, if one needs all the magical crap of religion to follow the teachings of Jesus (a rarity in and of itself) then they are missing the whole point of what Jesus taught in Mark.
*** The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9–20. NIV
Mark 16:9-11
[ they needed Mary's account to prove it.]

" When Jesus rose early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had driven seven demons. She went and told those who had been with him and who were mourning and weeping. When they heard that Jesus was alive and that she had seen him, they did not believe it."

Believe it or not... I have seen him! You my dear friend know the rest. I might just spook you too if you remember me?

Awesome story, thank you. I've always loved Creed; the music style and lyrics really get to me. Here's my fav:
http://youtu.be/IP4G8_alAT4
A court is in session, a verdict is in
No appeal on the docket today
Just my own sin
The walls are cold and pale
The cage made of steel
Screams fill the room
Alone I drop and kneel
Silence now the sound
My breath the only motion around
Demons cluttering around
My face showing no emotion
Shackled by my sentence
Expecting no return
Here there is no penance
My skin begins to burn
(And I said oh) So I held my head up high
Hiding hate that burns inside
Which only fuels their selfish pride
(And I said oh) We're held captive
Out from the sun
A sun that shines on only some
We the meek are all in one
I hear a thunder in the distance
See a vision of a cross
I feel the pain that was given
On that sad day of loss
A lion roars in the darkness
Only he holds the key
A light to free me from my burden
And grant me life eternally
Should have been dead
On a Sunday morning
Banging my head
No time for mourning
Ain't got no time
(And I said oh) So I held my head up high
Hiding hate that burns inside
Which only fuels their selfish pride
(And I said oh) We're held captive
Out from the sun
A sun that shines on only some
We the meek are all in one
[Guitar break]
I cry out to God
Seeking only his decision
Gabriel stands and confirms
I've created my own prison
I cry out to God
Seeking only his decision
Gabriel stands and confirms
I've created my own prison
(And I said oh) So I held my head up high
Hiding hate that burns inside
Which only fuels their selfish pride
(And I said oh) We're held captive
Out from the sun
A sun that shines on only some
We the meek are all in one
(And I said oh) So I held my head up high
Hiding hate that burns inside

WoW Glad you liked it RR. It reminded me of my own freedon figher song I had written before that. This song reminds me of what I said to IANS “Christianity has served many on a personal level saving many lives from their own destructive ways, but a problem arises if this victory from themselves becomes an ego trip boosted by mass flattery, loosing sight of their roots. Humble roots...… to share the good news with the meek … to mend the broken-hearted … to comfort all who mourn … to declare liberty to the captives … to open the prisons of them that are bound in their darkest thoughts.… and more Those forgot the humility and the dignity it requires, for without these things are only Christian by group name and serving themselves with no usefulness to others at  all.”

But have always claimed that any who have been to the true bottom of the heap of life's experiences can really be a great witness to what God can do. I also believe that many raised in the faith rebel - who some condemn for doing so - have to experience to understand the difference between spiritual shelter and none. Scott Stapp was a good example of that. Thanx for sharing more.
Worth a re-post.

Ahh Gramms - dear Gramms – I miss him too, and came so close to meeting in Florida last year, but he had to be out on the truck when we were there for 2 weeks. I kept hoping he would knock on the door! I always think of Kenny with the first song that he sent me, Arms of an Angel... You most likely know it, but you would also know the meaning well too. There is a great man there who few take the time to know.

… and you Gramms... miss you too <3 I still have Joshua's Link etc... and never forget as I said then... Know you have been thru much more since then but you always come shining thru. Hope Epi sent on my Love to you. I see most of you now gather on face-book. Interesting that seemingly face to face folk can be kinder to each other there? mmm Sad that life can't always be like that.
Keep smiling dear Sister-across-the ocean... and remember me still when you wave to the moon as we did. Crazy is a good lunatic... it's a happy crazy.~~ grin ~~ here's all the Koala Hugs IOU (((*()*))) filled with as much Love and Peace as God can pack into that lil frame of yours for healing. I do miss the GOoD ole days though -- but next year these will be good ole days as well -- time stands still for no one --
TLC – Judy
I find it funny when folk use the term 'the good old days', and remember well a dear couple in Africa watching their news... The wife asked “Why are the politicians so young these days?” And her husband with a wry grin said...“It's not them that's so so young Irene, it's us that's so much older!” Both have passed on now and I loved them dearly. They befriended me from the start, stood by me thru thick and thin, visited me in jail, and loved me thru all my homeless days. Love and Peace to you always dear Gramms.
