That IS an attack on Christianity.
I think it's funny as hell that atheist's soft sensibilities are hurt by seeing "In God We Trust" on their money.
Get over it already, it's not illegal and it's not gonna change.
My money says Visa on it.

That's because these people were *only* clinically dead.
I think we need to start off by agreeing on the definition of "clinically dead"
Here's what Wikipedia has to say....
"Clinical death is the medical term for cessation of blood circulation and breathing, the two necessary criteria to sustain life.[1] It occurs when the heart stops beating in a regular rhythm, a condition called cardiac arrest. The term is also sometimes used in resuscitation research.
Stopped blood circulation has historically proven irreversible in most cases. Prior to the invention of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation, epinephrine injection, and other treatments in the 20th century, the absence of blood circulation (and vital functions related to blood circulation) was historically considered to be the official definition of death. With the advent of these strategies, cardiac arrest came to be called "clinical death" rather than simply "death" to reflect the possibility of post-arrest resuscitation; for medical purposes, it is considered to be the final physical state before permanent death."
So, according to that, "clinically dead" isn't "actually dead" and recovery is possible.
Now let's see what Wikipedia tells us about NDE's....
"A near-death experience (NDE) refers to a broad range of personal experiences associated with impending death, encompassing multiple possible sensations including detachment from the body; feelings of levitation; extreme fear; total serenity, security, or warmth; the experience of absolute dissolution; and the presence of a light.
These phenomena are usually reported after an individual has been pronounced clinically dead or otherwise very close to death, hence the term near-death experience. Many NDE reports, however, originate from events that are not life-threatening. With recent developments in cardiac resuscitation techniques, the number of reported NDEs has increased.[1]
Many in the scientific community regard such experiences as hallucinatory,[2][3][4] while paranormal specialists and some mainstream scientists regard them to be evidence of an afterlife."
So, NDE's are "experiences associated with impending death". That's clinical as opposed to actual, death.
I'll admit that people's accounts of NDE's often appear in magazines and newspapers, yet that's just the way people in our society are:
Horoscopes, ghosts, vampires, zombies, crop circles, alien abductions, magic, healing crystals, mystic energies, NDE's, religion. There are no end of books on these. Go into any magazine store and you'll see shelves full of magazines on the occult, astrology, UFO's and other superstitions.
How many science magazines are they? Not many.
People eagerly lap up (often without evidence) any mumbo jumbo that's put in front of them. Yet those same people will often ignore the tangible realities that science brings us.
What do I think about NDE's? I don't think they're magical, I just think that the few that do occur are yet to be fully explained by science (they're working on it) and I think the answer is far more likely to be one that we can explain with science rather than with the Bible/Quran/Talmud/Gita/Avesta /etc.
The most recent scientific research shows the soul/psyche/self exist. And it exist outside of the body. There is no scientific evidence that the awareness eventually dies.

I don't believe that awareness dies. That is the soul and it lives forever.

If you want to believe that the soul eventually dies, then you free to to believe that. But your original question leading up to this discussion was what is the soul? Science have defined it for you, and now you know scientifically speaking the soul/self/psyche exists.

You're admitting that your god is not all-powerful.
God can't go against His own nature no more than you can.
Regarding murder, your bible says it's okay to stone kids to death if they are disrespectful, and kill daughters if they lose their virginity before marriage.
ugh.....

I guess the whole idea of equality for all doesn't count. Well, not when it comes to religion.
Why do you think America is a secular country?

I have always said that if I had large amounts of money I would spend my time on setting up my own charities. The first would be for abused animals. The second would be for hungry and/0r abused women and children. And the third would be long-term rehabs and job placement.

I just received this t-mail

"From Sister Becky,

Greetings you Dear I am Mrs Becky Benson an aging widow suffering from long time illness. I have some funds I inherited from my late husband, the sum of US$4.5,000,000.00 and I needed a very honest and God fearing Christian that will use the fund for God's work, I found your profile from the internet and decided to contact you. Please if you would be able to use the funds for the Lord's work, My Dear Repiy here is my email address: [email protected]

i await your urgent reply.

your Sister In Christ.
Sister Becky Benson,"

I have seen lower scams. Such as like when a child dies from a stray bullet and scumbags set up bogus foundations online in their name to get the money. Or people were engaging in profiteering and numerous scams after 9-11. But this one is close to the top of the list

I mean look who their target is. People that wish they had the funds to help others

It is very seldom i actually would wish something bad on someone. Not in actuality. Life can be hard enough

But I have a hard time coming up with anything these moral parasites add to the world. At some point they will probably find someone gullible enough to engage in this which will mean giving them their account and routing numbers of their bank because the people will claim they need to make the deposit and then empty the account of claim they need to set up a new account through some weird bank which for some mysterious reason costs thousands to open but the person figures no big deal because look at all the money about to be put in it

Please pray for not only the potential victims but for the souls of the people who engage in these scams

(T) Peace

GOD NEVER changes! The influences that cause change in our life , have NO effect on God!
Life's uncertainties may shake us, but NOT God! God the 'Rock' does not MOVE! If you cling to HIM, we will sustain you!
He is our anchor.
You can count on God , for He NEVER changes, Impossible for God to change--Hebrews 13:8
We (Christian's) future is secure and eternal!
So atheist --go ahead, CHANGE what ever you so desire, you are NOT changing GOD! You can not make GOD weaker--YOU can not make GOD ,'go away'
YOU will never succeed in the CHANGES you've made! Without GOD.

Scar, I'm shocked!

But seriously, IANS said that absence of evidence IS evidence of absence.

You got that?

--- Absence of evidence IS evidence of absence ---

Ok..

Now imagine this is 300 years ago and we knew absolutely nothing of DNA. That means we have no evidence for DNA, therefore IANS' rant dictates that DNA is non-existant because we have no evidence of it...

And you not lacking on planet earth. So why you can't be just thankful to YHWH for health and strength food shelter and clothing and the fact that you wake up this morning. Why you can't be thankful to YHWH for that instead of consciously decide that it all happen to you by chance and happenstance?
Why not be thankful to Regis Philbin for it? He had as much to do with it as those four letters you keep bragging about.
