What is the evidence of God?
OK. Here's how I understand it.

If you read the Bible, you'll find references to God.

Not just references, God just about like takes over completely.

So the Bible tells us there's a god.

And since the Bible was inspired by God, we have to believe what the Bible says.

We can't even ask what things mean, because the answer depends on the Christian that gives it.

Bottom line though, the evidence shows that there's a god, and it's my god.

If you make a watch, a conscious watch, that chooses to not follow your instructions are you at fault?
Yes.

We're talking about his Jesus.
Everyone seems to have their own Jesus.
It may appear that way, but there is only one Jesus.

There is no "his Jesus".

For starters, numb nuts, Catholics don't think they can pray to God, they think they have to pray to a saint and the saint will 'pass along the message'. They completely ignore the fact that Jesus tore the veil so we could have open communication directly to God.
Need more? Or are you ejumacted enough, prufesir?
I always start my Prayer ~ Dear GOD... unless I am saying the Lord's Prayer, but stating "Our FATHER" IMHO means "Our GOD, who art in Heaven ~ Hallowed by they Name"....

JESUS Himself Prayed ~ Forgive the FATHER and that is the same FATHER we are praying to.....

Hey RR.
G_O_D (boy, that's hard to do) is not an ignorant idiot.
He's much smarter than you.
Sorry.
Um....

Hey that's great.

Then why doesn't he know there's major differences between a Catholic and a Protestant?

Sigh....Do you think a 15 year old cat would hop into a cupboard above the counter for no reason? I already believe.....she intended to scare the crap out of me and you can't tell me otherwise!!
I have often looked at my dog and told him how i wish I could have a conversation with him--find out what he thinks. If he likes me. If he's happy.

If that was reality, you could prove it.
No, I could not. I can't prove that something doesn't exist.

Supernatural claims can be dealt with in several ways. I like conditional proofs. They can tell you what shouldn't exist, if the assumptions are true.

The practical outcome of many conditional proofs has been the evolution of beliefs. Sometimes, when a contradiction is pointed out, beliefs are modified to iron out the wrinkles.

This is exactly what is happening with the literal Hell belief in Christianity. A lot of Christians are realizing that Hell does not fit in with a loving and just god, so they find ways of justifying throwing that belief under the bus.

You have a choice to go to one or the other.

It's no myth, but carry on.
<quoted text>
BINGO!
YAHTZEE!
SURVEY SAYS!
He DOES want everyone to go to heaven and has given you the power to choose.
It's a myth, but carry on.

A being that has ultimate power also has ultimate responsibility.

In your myth, God has the power to put everyone in Heaven, but does not, meaning he doesn't want to. He has some higher priority that is changing his want for people to go to Heaven into a want for most people to go to Hell.

So what is so important to your god that he would torture most human souls for eternity rather than not?

You like Dawkins, don't you?

“The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”

Sorry.
Hold the memories dear..... I still have my Queen Puggy's Urn on my dressing table, and a couple of her smaller toys that will be treasured forever. Her ashes will be in my coffin when I give up my ghost and move on up to the next realm, wherever that will be :)

You are responsible, yes.

You either made it specifically to disobey, or you are incompetent.

Is incompetent negligence the excuse for your deity?

I have no cats.
I have a dog. A medically expensive dog.
I have a wonderful 13-year-old, mix of golden retriever and rott.
He used to be a ball of fire.
Now he can't hear a thing and is content to sleep and eat.
He still gets two walks a day: use it or lose it.
And he gets glucosamine and chondroitin daily.
And he's hanging in there and happy.
And I'm really going to miss him when he's gone.

No, actually.
You can't have an all powerful creator deity that is bound to anything.
You are violating logic by am dictating that something that is all powerful has rules and is limited.
So your god is nonsensical?

That's all you're saying.

You can't get around this problem by saying that your deity isn't bound by the laws of logic.

Having the power to get anything you want necessarily means that you always get exactly what you want.
