They were probably(possibly) the influence of "Sheba"(who the Hebrews hated). Ironic isn't it?

I find that truth is truth, no matter where it comes from.
The guy on Kung Fu, the series, once said, does it really matter.
I enjoy words of "Wisdom". And, the origin, really doesn't matter to me. Though as you say sometimes it is quite interesting :)

Let us look at Adam's first mate. Lilith was an equal to Adam made from the clay and breath to life by God.
She wanted to be on top during sex and Adam complained to God. So God turned her into a demon.
God should have turned Adam into a demon and made a 'Real Man' for Lilith.
YHWY was a real asshole. Anyone who doesn't see that either is either brainwashed or mentally ill.
And, it was said she went about seducing other men in their sleep, and killed babies.
What other men and babies? According to genesis there were no others!

NOW. You will be told that is just myth, but the "bible" account is real?
What?!---it would be more likely that BOTH are myth...or both are real...they both have the same relevance to history.IMO

Would the real god please stand up and straighten this out...if you even exist.

The US Supreme Court also said that black people weren't human and were to be treated like cattle.
That is the direct effect of religionist indoctrination and it's affect on the thinking of the "masses". We now understand that is archiac, inappropriate, and wrongful treatment of fellow human beings.
It is time we addressed the cause of such atrocious doctrine in modern society, and get the homosexual and lesbian people off the back of the bus also, and stop hampering their efforts to be productive and beneficial contributors to society.

unnatural? Nothing in Nature is unnatural
Nothing? Unnatural is contrary to the ordinary course of nature.

Just because some people choose to eat dirt does not make it natural, as that is contrary to what people ordinarily do.

He appears to mean people that say that they were born sinners.
<quoted text>
He appears to be saying that the individual decides this about himself. If he declares himself born evil, we take him at his word.
I'm anxious to see how he answers the question himself. It seems to be a tongue-in-cheek way of saying that you can call yourself a born sinner if that's what you think you are, but not anybody else, and that if you do, you should be taken at your word, meaning excluded from positions of authority and responsibility.
None of us like that condescending doctrine, which says that everybody is a sinner, but that since Christians are forgiven, they are cleansed and somehow morally superior. He's turning that around on the Christian.
Well if you & he don't believe that sin even exists, what's the point?

The bible doesn't dictate that because we are washed of our sins we are morally superior. You're making that up, which is one of the reasons you chose to not believe in God - you make it up as you go.

<quoted text>
The argument began with the justification of homophobia being in part due to gays being in the minority. Then somebody mentioned other examples of being in the minority that didn't deserve the same harsh judgment, such as blindness, left-handedness and genius.
This set off a series of comments trying to justify the negativity for gays using private and rigid definitions of relatively flexible words.
It's really a debate about nothing more than what words mean, not about what is true. The word "abnormal" was discussed. The same was attempted with the word "unnatural."
If abnormal means different from typical, then both the blind and geniuses are abnormal. If abnormal means undesirable, then of the two, only blindness is abnormal. If abnormal mean deviant or is a condemnation as when a Christian calls a homosexual abnormal, then neither the blind nor geniuses are abnormal.
In the end, everybody agreed that geniuses are good, blindness is undesirable but didn't demean the afflicted, it remained a standoff between the Christians and non-Christians about whether gays were an abomination worthy of eternal hellfire - right where the conversation started. That is why such discussions are always sterile - they're about the usage of words, not about what is true in the world.
Abnormal has nothing to do with being desirable or undesirable. All it is is a deviation from what is common, typical, usual. As far as being blind goes, that is abnormal because typically, normally and usually, people can see.

That says nothing to them being good or bad, desirable or undesirable.

Yes, geniuses are abnormal, which is why they get so much attention and are always famous, because they deviate the norm.

Being abnormal only makes something different, but not good or bad.

As far as being gay goes, that is also abnormal because it deviates the norm. Again, it has nothing to do with good or bad, right and wrong, just abnormal.

It is possible that "Stan" may have been the author that someone(who may or may not have had the authority) interpreted as "gospel".

I say that Alice has one leg is abnormal because it deviates the norm - that human have two legs.

That does NOT say that Alice herself is abnormal in any way.

I mean, she IS, but that's just cuz she's her :)

As for what is unnatural or abnormal, homosexuality is seen in diverse species in nature, which makes it natural and normal for the animal kingdom.
Natural yes, normal no.
Religion, on the other hand, is seen in only one species, making it far less natural or normal than homosexuality.
So is debating on an Internet thread.....

Many thing a we humans do are only seen in humans. We are the different animal...
