I don't know what pornos you've been renting, but they aren't documentaries. Just FYI.

Adam commanded you, in the name of God, to "BE GONE!".

What happened?

They've given me a number,

I liked the sequel series "The Prisoner", too.

Yes, he was. And I can appreciate it at that level. He cares about my soul. But it was inappropriate and a little off putting. And he knew that. That's why he saved it for the last time we saw one another, and when I was unable to avoid it without confrontation and bad feelings.
That does seem a little low of him to corner you like that.

Did you feel cornered? Trapped?

I would've.

Even though I appreciate prayer and pray myself, I don't like it when others corner me or trap me into one. I'll pray on my own time, thank you.
That's exactly what happened.
I was invited to a meeting by somebody trying to recruit me to become a member. Although to my knowledge it isn't a Christian organization, it was obviously for Christians in that town. I got the message and never went back.
And being there for the prayer was creepy.
Well there ya go, you never went back.

I probably wouldn't have, either.

Thanks, but you don't need to tell me that. I know what to do. You were asking me if seeing you pray would creep me out, and I began describing the conditions where it would, remember? That was another one.
Do you really find it so unbelievable that somebody like me would find such circumstances uncomfortable just because you don't? You're an insider. How about when you're not an insider. Have you ever been in a synagogue or mosque during services? Or a mass if you're Protestant. Or a Mormon church? They're all usually creepy to outsiders.
Watching people pray is a little like watching them make out, or watching a woman breast feeding in public. It's not that they're out of line as much as you feel like they should have a little privacy and you need to look away.
What's also a little aggravating about this subject is that I sense that not only do most Christians not care about who is uncomfortable with prayer, they often take pleasure in that discomfort as if they're nettling some demon within us.
You know what, man. I have NEVER looked at it that way.

I've never considered the "insider" "outsider" perspective of it.

And yes, I find Mormon & Catholic services to be a bit strange and uncomfortable, as well as making out or breast feeding in public. None of its "wrong", but it IS uncomfortable and unsettling a little.

I give you my word that IF I pray in public from now on, nobody but God & I will know.

I'll ponder this idea for a while if you don't mind.

I never knew Skom claimed his addiction was to being overly prescribed opiates by a physician.
Yep. Nothing is his fault, including being a drug addict. Never mind that most people taking those same drugs don't become addicted even if they develop dependence while taking them and experience some withdrawal symptoms.

Doctors don't make addicts. Addict appear to be born addicts, or else are made that way in early development. Whatever the precise etiology of addiction, it comes walking in the door of the clinic. It is not made there.

This Wiki article discusses the causes of addiction. You'll note that doctors and drugs are not on the list:

"[P]sychological traits related to addictive personality include depression, poor self-control, and compulsive behavior, which are all also linked to neurotransmitter deficiencies, showing both a psychological and biological basis for these traits and behaviors. Likewise, there is a gene/environment connection in that individuals self-select into different environments." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Addictive_person...

The article "What Are the Causes of Addictive Personality?" at http://www.livestrong.com/article/179778-what... lists elevated dopamine levels, anxiety, depression, abnormal reactions to stress, genetics, social factors, and cognitive factors as the principle factors producing addicts.

Once again, please note that there is no mention of doctors or drugs here. That is because drugs can only cause dependence, not addiction.

I think most parents care enough. Not all, but most, and it sounds like yours do.
Also a significant other if they were raised right can, but if your not lucky enough to have one or the other or both, your on your own.
On a side note, I personally would have a problem calling anyone master, unless of course there was some sex involved and all that nonsense..........
Have you ever seen Midnight in the Garden of good and Evil.
Another good Cusak movie..........
I have seen that movie. I'm also a fan of Kevin Spacey.

Master is just a title given to one who has reached the pinnacle of his or her area of expertise. He is the master. I am the student.

I'm afraid that you have no leverage there. He is shameless. He doesn't care what others think about him. He mocked me for criticizing his gratuitous alienation of people as if their opinions don't matter. It's consistent with the diagnosis of antisocial personality disorder.

Is "later" a longer period of time than "soon"? The reason I ask is that believers have interpreted "soon" as meaning at least 2000 years.

Shouldn't you be looking in the bible first?

Just in case your god has a different opinion.

He still hasn't responded to my post with about 7 sources proving him wrong on the topic of pedophilia.
It goes to show that he will never base his arguments in fact.
