Strawman? That's the definitive rebuttal, which is why you chose to try to defuse it proactively. Go ahead and rebut it first before calling it a strawman.
You can do that by showing us that sexuality truly is a choice as you just suggested by choosing homosexuality. Since this is the Internet and cannot demonstrate your new sexuality physically, all you need to do is write convincingly about what it feels like to be sexually and emotionally attracted to the same sex.
Don't be squeamish or sarcastic like a faker would. If you can actually become gay as a matter of choice, you can also describe what that is like.
I'll bet that you can't do it, and that if you try to fake it, even the straight posters here will be able to tell that that is what you are doing, assuming that you even try.
Sure I can.

I chose to be straight back in elementary school, 4th grade I think. I saw my first Playboy magazine. There were pictures of naked women having sex with naked men, I chose to look at the naked women.

It's done a hell of a lot of bad that outweighs the good.
No it hasn't, the bad stuff just makes the news more often. It always does.

When the weather is clear & sunny, it's a 2 minute spot on the news. When it's raining or windy or something, it now has a 30 minute spot.

When a priest does no harm his entire life, you don't hear about him. When a priest screws altar boy, you hear about it.

Do you know the percentage of RCC priests that are pedophiles? Less than 1%. But like I said, that 1% is the ONLY ones you hear about.

You've made a biased and bigoted opinion.

Is that the atheist love, understanding and compassion y'all all always bragging about?
The beautiful glory of secular humanism tells you to laugh at the death of a man and mock him in every way you can?
Thank God I'm not in your camp, if be a pissed little feller too.
And it's utter foolish. They are bragging like they won't ever die. And they are assuming Jerry Falwell was sad knowing he was going to die.

Jerry Falwell did a marvelous work for Jesus Christ while he lived. He founded Liberty University, a huge Christian college.

At the end Jerry Falwell was probably saying his work is complete, now it's time to go home.

Jerry Falwell left his mark, I think he would smile with glee at the hatred by gays and the secular humanists aimed at him after he died.

Here's my current list. Some may seem redundant, like vengeful and vindictive, or petulant and angry. Murderous appears in various forms: genocidal, filicidal, and infanticidal. Slavery condoning, lying (unkept promises and failed prophecies), and bullying probably should be added.
Additions, deletions and other suggestions are welcome.

You'd think they'd appreciate Falwell a little more. Even in the 60's and 70's he was pro-LGBT.

He argued for civil rights for LGBT people. He told NBC, "I may not agree with the lifestyle, but that has nothing to do with the civil rights of that part of our constituency."

Hahaha! You are about 300 years too late for what the original followers of Jesus or Jesus himself spoke my friend.
The Jews in Jerusalem spoke and wrote in Aramaic, ALL Jews were taught to read and write Hebrew as well (it is a commandment in Judaism). It is also very likely that many spoke Greek and Latin, mostly in the merchant and political classes.

<quoted text>On the contrary.
Faith could led you to believe you can fly off the side of a cliff and live.
A lack of faith would let you stay in reality, look down, and say "that's a steep drop, I wouldn't survive that, and I know I can't fly."

That's because faith is based on no evidence/against evidence.
Reality is based on reality, you can't go wrong with knowing, but you CAN go wrong with believing.
I've jumped off the sides of several cliffs and lived.

I had faith that I could fly, and I did.
